We always love to stay at Camelot By the Sea in Myrtle Beach. Right off the beach and walking distance to everything you would want to do.

Overall good. No dunkin doughnuts, disappointing. Also walking around the building instead of through pool area was inconvenient. A gate code would have been helpful, early a.m

The overall experience was great. The location was perfect if you’re looking for all of the touristy things to do. The hotel also offered a lot of entertainment pool side including tattoos for the kids and a live DJ.
Cons: the inside of the dishwasher was completely black. It was cleaner for me to hand wash all of the dishes than put them in there. Also, the listing shows Dunkin’ Donuts being within the facilities, which it is not there any longer and my kids were really upset. There’s also no store within the facility either but there is a store across the street.

Our stay was wonderful. The listing was spot on. Everything was clean and well stocked. I only had 1 complaint and that was....Our trip wasn't long enough :-)

Convent to everything we wanted to do. In rainy days we enjoyed the indoor pools hot tub and lazy river. The view was amazing and was able to have family meals at a table.

The condo’s baseboards were filthy, there were stains on the mattresses, holes in doors and walls that weren’t completely fixed. Washer/dryer was broken the whole time and they only supplied us with 6 bath towels when we had 7 staying. Had to use the facilities washer and dryer daily so we could have clean towels since they “couldn’t” give us towels because it was privately owned. Not a good experience.

The condo was very clean. Perfect location, where you had easy access to the beach and you could walk to shop or eat. No driving required.

The pics of condo were pretty accurate except for the marks on some of the walls (pics did not show marks, which kind-of down graded the look of condo) otherwise very nice. Outside of Camelot (very nice), inside condo (nice), hallways (need major clean up to match the rest of the establishment). Check-out instructions asked that linens (not comforters/mattress pads) be placed in Elliot Rentals laundry bag, i never found a laundry bag. Comforters should be included with other linens in laundry (not remain on bed).
Overall condo was clean, i was satisfied.

We really enjoyed our week at Camelot! The room was just as listed, and every employee that we came in contact with was super nice. This was our second stay, and we will definitely be returning.

Worst vacation home
This nightmare started with the booking process. Apparently our original house we booked, was “double booked,” so we were moved to another room which was not on the water or downtown as our previous house was. We walked in and went upstairs only to find empty and half empty beer bottles…some of which mold were growing in. Then by the evening we got ready to shower and go to bed only to find that none of the beds had sheets. All of the sheets were dirty and thrown in the laundry room. There were no clean towels. We had to wash our own towels and sheets, before we even go to bed or shower that night. We vacuumed the floors and swept the kitchen because of the amount of sand on the floors. Being a holiday weekend, there was no one to contact in the office…now to our payment. This house went ended up with was cheaper than our chosen house, but we were told that we would have to contact VRBO about the difference in what we paid versus the cost of the house we ended up with. Not sure if or when we will get the refund. This was by far the worst experience we have had with a rental. We will never use Elliot Rentals again!

Wildly Frustrating Experience
1st annoyance: I received so many emails from this property beach rental, and only one of them had an attachment that provided check in details. So we got to the condo and then had to walk 8 blocks to find the office to pick up a KEY CODE????? come on- just email it to me, dont give me a chore.
2nd Rage: . The Fridge, Freezer, and Oven were BROKEN. I called the first day they said they would have someone out the next day. End of the next day, no one came. I called again and was promised that someone would be there at 10am. No one came.
I called about 10 times and no one would pick up, so we went up to the office (another chore to take out time from my vacation), and talked to the property manager.
There was another VRBO review stating that the fridge was broken and yet this rental company responded that it was fixed. However this property manager told me they were waiting on the part. OK_ WHY WOULDNT YOU UPDATE THE LISTING???? WHY DID I SIT AROUND FOR TWO DAYS BELIEVING LIES THAT SOMEONE WAS COMING TO FIX IT????
My best friend made 8 gourmet quiches for us to eat for breakfast and they all spoiled along with all the food we brought. THIS WAS RIDICULOUS.
We wasted money on the food we bought that spoiled, we had to go out to buy ice multiple times a day, we had to eat out more than we intended. AND THEY WASTED MY TIME WITH LIES.
I want a discount and VRBO'ers beware.

Camelot at the Sea.
The condo was nice size and view good. The refrigerator was not working the whole time even after multiple calls for maintenance. All our food was wasted and we had to eat every meal out which significantly increased cost. Carpets were dirty.

Camelot 1701
The property was in a great location and the multiple pools were great. The unit could have been excellent, but the refrigerator did not work. I called Elliot on 2 occasions and both times I was told a work order would be placed. I never heard back and the problem was not resolved. We spent a week in the unit without a working refrigerator. The couch and chairs were dirty and very used. If not for those issues, the unit would have been very nice.

Disappointing !
Property itself is very nice but so busy it was impossible to maintain Covid compliance measures. We had both our shots and met in Myrtle Beach with family( daughter & grandsons)for the first time in 1 1/2 years. I was assured there was an attendant for the pool area but none was visible except for an occasional walk-thru by security. Pools were overrun with unattended children throwing balls everywhere. Overchlorinated Hot tub usually was full of kids. I saw 3 cars park across the street and a group of about 14 people in bathing suits(4 adults,the rest children) walk right through the Camelot garage and into the pool area. Signs for masks in elevator were ignored by all but a few. If I ever come to MB again I would pick a different unit and property in a more relaxing atmosphere.

Great location! Easy beach access and walking distance to several restaurants.
This condo has been updated and is very comfortable. Comfortable beds, clean unit, well stocked with normal kitchen utensils etc.. The kitchen faucet was not fastened correctly and was very loose, but this was reported to the realty company that handles the property for repairs. We were very pleased with our stay.

Beautiful Condo with Stunning Views
Camelot by the Sea 1701 is in good condition and is walking distance to several restaurants and shopping. The views from the balcony are amazing. If this condo got a deep cleaning it would definitely be 5 star. Only negative was that there were A LOT of people using the pools who were not staying at Camelot...they were parking across the street, entering the resort and using the pools and towels. There were numerous unsupervised children running around the pools and being VERY Loud and rough housing.

Unit 1701 at the Camelot is a lovely condo. Plenty of space for our family of four, plus two grandparents. We usually don't stay here in the heart of Myrtle, but were in town for Ripken Baseball Experience. The Camelot was an excellent location for this, as it is a line drive straight to the Complex, less than 10 minute drive every time. The beach here and the property itself are busy, but it's not overwhelming. The only time I waited for the elevators was during the one thunderstorm that cleared the beach, and everyone had to go up at once. I absolutely loved having Dunkin Donuts in the lobby as I was the only coffee drinker of our group, and I could go down each morning for a fresh cup for the beach. The Unit itself is lovely. The beds are comfy, plenty of linens, and the bathrooms are a nice size. A great view of the beach and the strip, as this unit is on the corner of the building facing the Ferris wheel. We had no noise issues or complaints. Biggest praise: The team at Elliott Realty who manage this unit were absolutely wonderful. Very efficient, friendly, and helpful. I had to call about one maintenance issue (the keypad lock for the door), and they came right out and took care of everything. Fast check-in, easy check-out. Appreciated the included linens and the made beds. Unit was very clean. We will use Elliott Realty in the future when our travels bring us back to Myrtle. One last note: covered, attached parking in the parking garage is wonderful and handy, but a word of caution-- the turns are tight! Just be careful, drive slowly, and all will be fine. Much better than our friends who stayed at properties where parking was across the street. Hope to see y'all again soon!
