Le Retreat at Clutter Falls est une maison de vacances construite sur mesure unique située sur une falaise au-dessus de la rivière Guadalupe à côté d'une petite maison d'hôtes (voir VRBO # 4970329), à moins d'un mile de Gruene Hall et à 5 km de Schiltterbahn. La vue est incroyable et les rapides sous la maison (Clutter Falls) fournissent un son constant et apaisant qui dissipe le stress. The property was conveniently located and comfortable.

The house is in a quiet residential area with many oak trees. It is on a cliff overlooking the Guadalupe River and featured great views of the surrounding area. The oak trees obstructed most of the view of the river, but we could hear the water rushing over rocks down below the patio.
The towns of Gruene and New Braunfels were a short drive away.
Our grandson's enjoyed playing PacMan and other arcane games in the living room.

The back porch, that is something pictures couldn’t do justice for. The back porch was incredible to play board games and hang out!
Absolutely loved the property and would recommend anyone who loves to hang out outside with friends!

House was perfect for visiting Gruene and surrounding areas. Nice quiet neighborhood with a country feel. There was some dust and spiderwebs, but not too bad overall.

The property is nice. I would emphasize that a little more attention to the patio area as it looked like the railing overlooking the river is showing signs of needing repair as the top boards have started to show sings of rotting even though they were recently painted and look to becoming loose. Over time they will begin to break away if not replace. Hot tub is a little small even to accommodate four adults. The chaise lounge seat takes away from being able to support two people in the tub. All around we were happy with the rental and the time we got to spend in Gruene.

This was Just the breath of fresh air we needed beyond our expectations. Beautiful get away and only moments from our favorite hot spots!

Wonderful property. The deck and sound of the water below can’t be beat. Everything was clean and as described. My husband and son were delighted to find a pac man machine to play. Very cozy! Only negative is the little apartment on the same property that we didn’t expect to be so close and can make parking difficult. Overall I would recommend just don’t plan to walk to town unless you really like walking roads are pretty narrow.

The property was clean, well stocked and "as described" on the site. Easy checkin and check out. I made a couple of calls to the managing company to clarify a couple of small details and it was an easy discussion. I felt they were willing to help out as needed. I woud book again.

The place was clean and well cared for. Great view of the river valley Would stay there again. A few things for improvement. Patio Funiture on top balcony needs to be replaced. The hot tub was working, but not very privet. Need to be closer to the patio doors.

Just letting you know that shampoo holder was broken in upstairs bath and one loose tile. Right before we left this morning mini split system was blowing hot air in bedroom on left.

The property was very comfortable and extremely convenient to everything in Gruene for a quick meal, a little shopping, or pick up. We usually spend most of our time "out" when we visit somewhere, but this time we just wanted to spend time as a family. The house was perfectly set up for sitting around the table and eating as a family and sitting out on the deck in the evening visiting. The sound of the river below was comforting and the views were beautiful. We would definitely return.

We had a wonderful weekend for a childhood best friends Bachelor weekend. Great location, we walked to Gruene for dinner one of the nights and enjoyed delicious food and live music. The sunsets were amazing on the back patio as we enjoyed great conversations of growing up together. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay with all the amenities needed to make your stay warm & cozy.

We stayed at Clutter Falls for mother's day weekend and loved it. It is absolutely beautiful and is in a great location to Gruene and New Braunfels. Easy access to great restaurants, live music and shopping. And the view from the upper and lower decks of this house is breathtaking. The house is also stocked with everything needed to make your stay easy and enjoyable. Loved staying here and would highly recommend!

This could be a lovely place but is in desperate need of a deep clean! Dust coated (meaning hasn’t been cleaned in a LONG time) fans, surfaces, pictures,etc.
Huge cobwebs that obviously have been there a long time. Windows were filthy inside and outside and what a shame with such a good view! The dishes and pots and pans were old and yucky.
Property is in need of repairs and upkeep.
It could be a great place to stay if improvements were made. Cannot recommend as it is.

The house was in a great location from Gruene Main St. Home was prefect for us 6 ladies, very clean and comfortable. Loved the deer that rested on the front lawn.

We loved our stay at Clutter Falls. The house was homey and had an amazing view. The hot tub was a nice touch. Only issue was the cleaning staff was there when we arrived at 5pm. Super nice people and apologized. Just was a bit of an inconvenience with parking because of it. One other thing- kuerig didn’t work. Just FYI.
We would definitely rent again! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

This mini vacation was one of the most fun, relaxing and very needed family getaway.
Two of my sisters and their husbands joined us on this trip.
This house is so nicely decorated. It is also comfortable and very clean. All of us enjoyed the wonderful view and sound of the river, especially at night. On the days that weren’t to cold we sat outside on the porch. We were able to see some of the wildlife from that area. It was so quite and peaceful. Wish we could’ve stayed a little longer.

Great location. Adequate for our needs. Needs some work to get to 5 stars. Septic pump died while we were there. Well pump died while we were there, so no water one morning. Paint chipping and falling off home. Not well appointed in kitchen. Large waterbugs/roaches on a few occassions. Hot tub wasn't heating for the first 3 days. All that being said, the management was very responsive and friendly. I hope the owners put a little of the profits into the property, because it could be a great place.
