clean and comfortable , the staff was friendly

first i was staying in room 6 , yes it was on a main road which i understand about the noise , but i think you do need blackout curtains to stop the street light coming throught into the room , didnt sleep to well due to light mainly . i noticed the radiator in room 6 was warm as it was chilly in the night but the radiator in the hallway was very warm you could fill the heat as soon as you came out of your room , the next morning i asked to move rooms if possible due to the issues i had mentioned above the staff was very helpful and friendly so they moved me to room 2 , the room was clean and tidy but the radiator was just like room 6 warm only , soon as i stepped out of room 2 the raditor was warmer in the hall than the room .

The walls between our room and next door were very thin. I could hear the guy next door snoring all night

Location was fine for what we wanted , breakfast was ok, staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do enough for us , the girl who checked us in and served us breakfast was lovely,

Well, the heat in the rooms , it made it impossible to sleep and been in the room was almost unbearable , that certainly needs addressing , a shame as would put us off staying again

I had been adjudicating for 12hrs and it was after 9pm by the time I got to check in. Check in was at the bar and it was very busy, once I had been given my key, I was told breakfast was at 8am. I asked if it was possible if I could have something to eat at 7.45am as I had a 20min drive to where I was adjudicating and I started at 8.30am. I was told the chef didn't start until 8.00am. I explained that I didn't want anything cooked, if it was possible to have some cereal or fruit/yoghurt as I had a 13hr day ahead. Again, I was told the chef doesn't start until 8am.and that I would have to ask the cleaner! Obviously, I was quite shocked at this, and after a very loud and noisy night, I got u and left by 7.30am.
