We, 4 mature women, loved sharing and eating and relaxing in the large kitchen/dining table and in the outside garden/patio area. We enjoyed the scenery and short driving distance to surrounding towns. Thanks for a wonderful vacation learning about out ancestry.

We had a great stay at Caroline’s property near Zevenhoven. Caroline was a great host and her property was fabulous. We enjoyed the use of the garden, kayaks, bikes and tennis court. The property was ideally situated to explore the surrounding countryside including Amsterdam and Gouda. The information pack was really useful for finding local restaurants etc. Thanks for the great stay.

The location is really perfect. Perfect to explore Amsterdam and the other famous cities .Clean, fully equipped and designed with a lot of love. It is even better in real life than you can imagine from the provided pictures.

Lovely spring setting with many birds, ducks, swans, geese, and even pink underwing green parrots flying around the area. The Home is very clean and well stocked. We had a great stay out of the hurried city of Amsterdam.

Angefangen beim Schriftverkehr im Vorwege, über unsere Ankunft und Begegnung mit Caroline, bis hin zum Haus, Garten, Umgebung und Wetter, alles war wirklich schön. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und kommen bestimmt mal wieder, mit mehr Zeit und Fahrrädern.

We had a lovely stay at the bungalow! The house had everything we needed for a week long stay. Three bedrooms with one bathroom was perfect for our family and it’s a nice and quiet location. Great for a peaceful nights sleep. The location is a bit far from major transit, so a car is needed. It also takes a bit of time to navigate over to the major highways, so just something to note depending on your plans. Caroline is a lovely host who left some snack and drinks for us. She checked on us a few times and was easy to reach for questions. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this vrbo for future guests.

Everything was exceptionally clean, comfortable and charming. All of the extra details made us feel very welcomed and at home. And, the home and garden could not have been more beautiful.

Die Wohnküche und die Sitzecke sind genauso schön und gemütlich, wie abgebildet. Der Garten ist traumhaft und die Siedlung landschaftlich sehr schön gelegen. Einziger Minuspunkt: Die rustikale Badezimmer-Schiebetür ist aufgrund der Spalte und Ritzen so durchlässig wie ein Vorhang und grenzt direkt an den Esszimmertisch an.

Das Objekt liegt inmitten eines ruhigen Naturschutzgebietes, umgeben von Kanälen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in dem Haus, es war hell und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet und wir haben alles gefunden was wir gebraucht haben. Die 3 Schlafzimmer sind ausreichend groß und in den Betten lässt es sich bequem ausschlafen. Wir haben die Zeit als gesamte Familie genossen.

Wir waren zwar erst etwas skeptisch, ob die Fotos das halten können was sie versprechen. Tatsächlich aber sind das Ferienhaus und der Garten in Wirklichkeit noch toller als auf den Bildern! Das Objekt liegt inmitten eines ruhigen Naturschutzgebietes, umgeben von Wasser und vielen sehr netten Menschen. Die gesamte Anlage ist ebenso top gepflegt wie das Haus und der Garten. Der kommt wöchentlich vorbei und sorgt für einen perfekten Rasen 😊 Man sieht dem Objekt einfach an, mit wieviel Liebe zum Detail es eingerichtet wurde. Im Haus findet man eine sehr große Küche mit allem was man braucht inkl. Geschirrspüler, Gefrierkombi, Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine und einem tollen großen Herd mit Backofen. Die 3 Schlafzimmer sind ausreichend groß und in den Betten lässt es sich bequem ausschlafen. Morgens hat man dann wie Wahl zwischen gleich 3 gemütlichen Sitzecken im Garten für das Frühstück in der Sonne! Der top gepflegte Garten grenzt an einen romantischen Kanal. Hier kann man die vorhandenen Paddelboote wegen der Seerose allerdings nicht verwenden, dazu geht man an den größeren Kanal 100m weiter. Draußen befindet sich auch ein schöner Kamin der für ein abendliches Feuer und auch als Grill verwendet werden kann. Das nötige Feuerholz gibt es günstig an jeder Shell Tankstelle. Der ebenfalls vorhandene „Fahrrad-Fuhrpark“ kann sich sehen lassen, so dass wir schnell für jeden ein passendes Fahrrad finden konnten. Nur noch den Sattel richtig einstellen und los geht’s. Ansonsten ist tatsächlich alles im Haus vorhanden was man für einen ausgedehnten Urlaub benötigt. Wir mussten lediglich noch Waschmittel kaufen, das durften wir so selbst bei teureren Häusern bisher noch nicht erleben. Und ein besonderer Dank geht nochmals an die super freundliche & fürsorgliche Vermieterin und ihre Schwester. Vom Checkin bis zur Verabschiedung haben wir uns hier immer rundum sehr gut behandelt gefühlt und können dieses Objekt deshalb nur wärmstens empfehlen! Wahrscheinlich fragte die Familie auf der Rückfahrt deshalb auch bereits, wann wir wieder zu Caroline fahren 😊

We spent two relaxing weeks with our kids in this beautiful large house. Caroline has been wonderful, too. We especially liked the available bikes and boats, as well as the tennis court. The beach is not far, there is everything you need within a short bike ride and Alphen aan den Rijn is a nearby city with lots of activities.

Schon beim Eintreten in dieses kleine Paradies fühlt man sich von der ersten Minute an rundum wohl. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und man merkt, dass auch die sehr freundliche Vermieterin darin wohnt. Kleine Details wie Fliegengitter an den Fenstern und über den Betten macht dies deutlich. Der wunderschöne Garten mit verschiedenen Sitzmöglichkeiten, der kleine Kanal vor und hinter dem Haus mit traumhaften Seerosen sind schon Erholung für das Auge. Verschiedene Sportmöglichkeiten wie Fahrradfahren Kajaks, Tennis spielen,, schwimmen etc. sind kostenlos und direkt vom Haus aus möglich. Das Haus ist ideal für eine Familie mit Kindern. Da das Bad bzw. die Toilette aber nur durch eine Schiebetür vom Wohnraum getrennt ist,, ist das Haus eher weniger für verschiedene Familien geeignet..

We hebben heerlijk kunnen relaxen in deze fijne woning. Heerlijke buitenruimte, zwem-/vaarwater en tennisbaan om de hoek en een mooie uitvalsbasis voor fietstochten.

We had a car so it was not a problem. We used the bikes and the boats, did a couple days in the city (took about 1 hour to get there with traffic) and a couple days in the country and surrounding little towns. Hard to believe that such a beautiful place only 30 min. drive from metropolitan Amsterdam. We had wonderful time staying in Caroline’s cottage with very well maintained huge garden with our two kids. Although we didn’t meet Caroline personally however the communication and check in was no problem at all. It will be our first choice to stay for our next trip to Holland.

Our family of five stayed at the cottage in Zenenhoven. It is breathtaking - peaceful, quiet, beautiful surroundings of the garden & canals. There is so much to do. We rode bikes through the countryside & along the river, played tennis, jogged every morning. Caroline was wonderfully helpful and made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend this cottage. It was perfect for our family’s visit in the Netherlands.

This was an absolutely perfect country home for our family of 5, with easy access to Amsterdam, Schiphol, Kuekenhof, Utrecht, Gouda, etc. Caroline was very responsive and is a very good manager of this property. Her directions and recommendations were perfect, and she was a wonderful host. The property and surrounding countryside were almost too beautiful to be believed, and by the end of our stay, we found ourselves looking at "for sale" (te koop) signs! Plenty of bikes and kayaks are provided, and biking opportunities are nearly limitless in the area. You can bike through farmland for miles, or over to the Coop grocery store in Noorden. The train station in Bruekelen is about a 20 minute drive, then about a 30 minute train ride to Amsterdam Centraal. Schiphol is about a 30 minute drive away from the house. The roads and infrastructure in the Netherlands are outstanding, and driving was no issue at all. If you are looking for a quiet, country setting away from the crowds and noise (but with easy access to Amsterdam), then I would highly recommend this property. Our only regret was having to leave!

We had a lovely stay at Caroline’s bungalow. The location is so pretty & perfect for families. Our children enjoyed the bikes and kayaks. We used the park & ride to travel into Amsterdam and had some lovely meals in the nearby towns. Highly recommended as a family holiday.

It was our second year coming to this home! The weather was not as good, but we enjoyed the trip just as much because of this home! Caroline is amazing and was flexible! We will be back!

Furnished to a really high standard , great location with loads to do on site , with every piece of equipment you could need ! Fab location so peaceful and set in amazing countryside And only 25 mins to Amsterdam centre Thank you for such a great break.

We were on a week's family holiday. A few nights in an Amsterdam hotel and a few nights here. We loved our time at the bungalow, riding the bikes along the canals, to local villages and through the fields. We found it really easy to visit other towns by car too. Caroline was sort helpful.

We had a lovely stay at this guest house. Caroline kindly accommodated our little one with a crib and high chair which was greatly appreciated. Lots of great outdoor things to do to keep everyone busy. Thank you!
