A very enjoyable stay in a lovely town. Excellent location for touring. The house was very comfortable and well-equipped.

My family and I spent a long weekend in Bakewell enjoying the surrounding countryside and this delightful town. With numerous pubs and cafe you won't go hungry or thirsty and we felt very welcome.

The accommodation was clean & comfortable, especially the beds. The welcome pack was useful for us to start our holiday. It is an ideal location to enjoy the many attractions & walks in that area & was an easy, flat walk into the town. The nearby walk by the river was lovely for our morning & evening dog walks. I would suggest a gate at the top of the steps to prevent dogs or little children from going down to the bottom gate, which was sometimes left open by others.

We spent a week at Bakewell, The Brew House was the key for us to have as much fun as we can. We are a big family of 2 adults, 2 teenagers, a toddler and our lovely Vizsla dog. There was enough room for everyone comfortably. The property is equipped with all what we needed. We had welcoming milk, tea and biscuits. The parking space for our long E-class was more than enough and was very convenient. The house is 5 minutes walk from Bakewell centre, with nice pubs, restaurants and the river. This was a bonus as you can easily walk to the pub to have a drink at the end of the day to relax. There was enough hot water to everyone through the combi boiler. There is a very nice terrace with beautiful view to have a glass of wine in the evening. Just one thing to notice, although we left the property by 10 am as requested, I was still packing my car, the cleaner lady was standing by our car trying to force us to leave not giving me a chance to pack the car comfortably. This has nothing to do with how wonderful the house is and I will definitely stay there again. Just beware if you have children and lots of luggage like us to try to leave very early to avoid the annoying cleaner. Charles the owner was very helpful at the start of our visit and was very easy to approach as upon arrival the garage door was wide open. Overall, I will give the property 5 stars and I do recommend it if you wish to stay at Bakewell.

We had an very enjoyable holiday as did our four legged family member here in Bakewell. The property was in a perfect location near to good pubs, restaurants, riverside walks & the shopping area. We recommend the Woodyard & the exceptional Rutland Hotel both dog friendly as were most places. We really appreciated such a nice spacious holiday home being dog friendly. The beds & 3 large reclining sofas were very comfortable and we enjoyed the open planned kitchen/dining/living area. The property was so clean & the facilities were excellent. The owner was very pleasant & communicative. Our family joined us for part of the holiday which the owner readily agreed to.

We booked this property because it is in the middle of Bakewell, has parking spaces and three bathrooms. It fulfilled our needs and we had a great week of cycling and walking with nice weather

This is an excellent property, really well furnished and equipped and in a fantastic location. Very good communication with the owner, despite Covid deferrals, made arrangements very smooth and our stay, with young grandchildren, a delight. One of the best properties we have stayed in

This property met all of our needs was clean - well equipped- very comfortable with the best reclining sofas we have ever had. The walk across the road along the stream into Bakewell was flat, lovely and easy. Just a note to say that with 2 over 80s and 1 over 70 a handrail in the showers, up the garden steps and at the top of the stairs would have been handy. The parking in the garage was impossible - think only a micro would fit and the description needs to say this. The boilers foibles gave us a fright these need to be in the handbook as pulling out the microwave and fiddling with levers is not good when you are woken up at night by loud noises. The weather and the comfort made for a very delightful holiday.

What a fantastic property exactly as stated. Check in was easy and communication with Charles excellent, one slight issue on first morning but was sorted straight away. 3 excellent sized bedrooms each with own bathroom and a very spacious lounge/dinner. The views from the garden are beautiful. We had 3 dogs with us the property is ideal and literally a 5 minute walk into town and there’s ample parking. Cleanliness of property was immaculate and facilities provided far exceeded expectation. Would highly recommend staying here and we will be returning

Wonderful house in a perfect location both for Bakewell and for trips into the Peaks. Plenty of space within the house, with a lovely open plan living area but also with bathrooms for each of us. Well appointed kitchen. Great communication with the manager! Honestly couldn’t fault it. Our dogs loved it too!

After an initial glitch our stay at the Brewhouse was super. The property is well equipped, comfortable and in an excellent location for walking into the town centre. Charles, the owner, was extremely helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend friends or family to choose this property if they planned to have a holiday in the Peak District.

Myself and my family stayed in Charles’ property for my sisters 30th Birthday. We all had a really great stay. Brew house has a fantastic location, only 5 minutes walk into the town centre. The living space has a lot of natural light coming through from the large skylights. Charles is a great host, we had a slight issue with the boiler loosing pressure but he came round to fix the problem straight away. I would recommend Drew house to stay in for a short break/holiday!

The property was great, spacious and very clean. 2 minutes walking distance from the town center. Charles was also very helpful and responsive to our requests including a late departure. Great house for a staycation with family and friends in a big countryside house. Will repeat again

The property is so lovely, clean and well equipped with beautiful views over the rooftops of Bakewell from the patio area. You really don't need a car to explore the area with walks, pubs, cafes and restaurants within easy reach. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our time away in Bakewell at Brew House. The layout of the property suited us really well as a family with lots of space to be together upstairs in the communal areas and have privacy with separate bathrooms downstairs. The weather was great so we got to make use of the outdoor terrace and wonderful views. Walking into Bakewell took 5 minutes and we enjoyed how central the property was, without being noisy. Parking for 3 cars made our life so easy and we always managed to get a space with the permit. A well stocked kitchen allowed us to cook easily, with everything we needed. We did have some trouble with the fridge door but Charles responded quickly and came to fix this the following day whilst we were out. We cannot fault our time and the property and wouldn't hesitate to return again in future. Thank you.

Really superb communication from the owner before arrival meant that we felt very confident about our arrival. Recently refurbished in most areas, two lovely en suites. Great property to visit with our two young adults, enabling them to walk into town for pubs. Lovely walks direct from the property. Had a problem with the TV, but the owner immediately came out to resolve. Highly recommended as a base in the Peak District.

We liked the convenience of walking into the town of Bakewell. The property was very spacious and it was great having 3 bathrooms. The property was very well equipped - especially the kitchen. Plenty of space for 6 people. The lounge chairs with I phone charger and recliners a hit with teenagers.. We liked the off road parking for two cars and managed to get our CRV in the garage. A tight squeeze and best reversed in in case the courtyard gets busy.

We had a lovely weekend away in bakewell staying here. Location is perfect bring just a very short walk into town. House has everything you’d need. Thank you for a lovely stay

The house is lovely with plenty of space in all the rooms. Open plan kitchen and lounge meant the cook could still be part of conversation. Three bathrooms very convenient. The only problem was parking. The opening to the garage is very small (1 inch spare either side of wing mirrors) and in an awkward position close to walls. The space outside garage is fine and the 3rd space is on parking permit but unable to find a free space at busy times.

Excellent property. Very convenient for the town centre but quiet as back from the road. Lovely terrace with good views. Extremely well equipped kitchen with plenty of large pots and pans for cooking for 6. Ideal for 6 people. Parking as described. A little tight but adequate and we didn’t use the cars once we had parked up. Either walked or used the good local bus service. Thank you for a great week away and feel sure we will be back

A very comfortable property, in an excellent location. One or two minor problems which were overcome. Note left fpr the owner which received a very rapid reply. Overall a very good property. Stairs might be an issue for some people. Wehad a very happy week.
