We loved our stay at Pierluigi and Mariacristinas home. The views upon arrival were breathtaking and we were met at the front gates by the warm, and beautiful Cristina who introduced us to all the amenities and gave a thorough explanation of all the area had to offer. We also hired Cristina to cook our meal for our first night which I highly recommend as she is an amazing chef) this was so relaxing because we didn’t have to worry about groceries the first night. The meal was so amazing and every bite delicious. The beach is down several flights of stairs and was a welcome end to a hot day taking a dip in the refreshing ocean. The town is up a longer set of stairs but it only took us five minutes to climb them. It’s a good cardio workout and might take you longer if you have mobility issues. The town was lovely and quaint. Groceries were about a 15 minute walk from the house. Coffee shops, gelato and clothing stores were all within close range. The kitchen is beautifully stocked. Full set of stainless steel pots and dishes etc which is lovely to have as we cooked often. The air conditioning worked beautifully and we only needed to turn it on for a short time and our rooms were lovely and cool.Cristina who manages the property was immensely helpful and available for all our queries. Pierluigi was very helpful with car services and info. Only small set back is we found the mattresses to firm, otherwise loved our stay.

We loved our stay at this property in Vico Equense. There were seven of us, and the layout was perfect! Pierluigi and Cristina were incredibly helpful and responsive. Pierluigi arranged a fantastic boat tour of the coast for us, as well as transportation to and from Naples and Sorrento. Cristina was wonderful too—she prepared our first meal in Vico, which turned out to be our favorite meal in Italy. Don’t miss out on this—she is an amazing cook, and it was so welcoming to have a home-cooked, authentic Italian meal after a long day of travel. Cristina also drove a few of us to and from Vico and Sorrento. She was always so friendly and helpful.
We loved the location and the house, and we fell in love with the community—a quiet town with breathtaking views. If we ever return to this area, we would definitely stay here again. I can't recommend this home enough!

The property is spacious, clean and offers gorgeous views of the sea! The owner and property manager were incredibly attentive and helpful in arranging excursions. We had an incredible time using this home as our base for 5 days. One thing that wasn’t clear to me on the listing was that the fourth bedroom was detached from the rest of the house- it worked for our group, but a couple of years ago when my kids were younger it would have been an issue. You will not be disappointed by this home!

It was a beautiful house with spectacular views.

Absolutely loved our stay in Vico Equense! The property manager was super responsive and helpful, very kind, and the property is stunning. It's at the bottom of a windy hill, so getting down is a bit tricky, but ok with small car or if being driven. Steep walk up to main road or down to beach, but to be expected on the Sorrento coast, just be aware if anyone has mobility issues. About a 15min walk to train station, great location. Would highly recommend this property and would stay there again any time!

This was the best part of our stay in Italy! The home was spacious and beautifully located to the train and steps away from the beach. Cristina made us dinner one night and it was honestly the best meal I had in Italy. It was truly a magical stay. I adored the small city and the people couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. We will be back to their home again. It was a FIVE STAR STAY. 🏡

I’ve been trying to decide how to put into words how great this property is. It is a beautiful and roomy villa with a lemon-filled terrace that faces sunset over Mount Vesuvius every night; had ample room for our family of six, which included teenagers and senior citizens; and was clean and comfortable, perhaps providing the best nights sleep I’ve had in years, but it is so much more than that. The owner Pierluigi helped us plan our entire vacation. He organized dinners for us, drivers who picked us up each morning, and recommended sights and restaurants. The pasta-making experience that he organized was perhaps our favorite day of the trip. Not an informal tour with 20 strangers, but an intimate and unique private afternoon in his parents’ home eating and drinking delicious food and wine, and touring their beautiful gardens filled with every food and spice imaginable. Every suggestion he made was a great one, and he and his contacts went out of their way to assist in things through the 8 days we spent there. Christina checked us in and out, as well as cooked a delicious dinner in the villa for us one night. She made the check out easy with very little work to be done on our part. She also provided great recommendations to restaurants in Vico Equense. We easily walked up to Vico or down to the beach every day (yes, it was a climb-my parents used the longer road, which was still uphill but less rocky than the stairs). And the town was perfectly not touristy and charming.

There was plenty of space for 3 couples to spread out in the home, and in the outside sitting areas. We took advantage of the spacious kitchen, and it had all we needed to put together easy meals.
We enjoyed being able to walk down the steps to the beach, and up the steps to the town. Cristina was a very helpful and accommodating host. She helped us with rides from the train station and we enjoyed the meal she prepared for us - there was so much delicious food! The van driver and tour of the Amalfi coast was excellent and we hightly recommend hiring a driver rather than driving as a tourist.
Vico Equense is a few train stops from Sorrento, and we decided that we preferred Vico to Sorrento. The town was just the right size with enough restaurants and food places, and small enough that we could easily walk wherever we wanted to go. We thouroughly enjoyed our 6 days at Vico Equense.

We loved the Villa ,
We had the homemade dinner served to us at the Villa our first night
I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed it
The food and service was amazing
I highly recommend this especially on your first night after a long day of traveling
The host set up transportation door to door for us which I also highly recommend as it’s a hike up the stairs to the street.
I will go back

This house has an amazing location. You can walk to the beach or the town via the stairs. It is also a great jumping off point for visiting Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Pompeii, etc. We used the host to book a dinner, transportation to Rome/Pompeii, and a van tour of the Amalfi Coast. It was amazing. Cristina and Pierluigi were very responsive. We were two familes of four with teenage kids. The house was great for everyone! The views are spectacular and we all really appreciated air conditioning at night. I highly recommend the house.

Highly recommend this property! It was clean, bright, and the AC worked *very* well. We were a group of 8 women and had plenty of space, and we felt very safe at this home, as well as in Vico Equense. Our host, Pierluigi, was very helpful and had good communication - he helped us arrange car transportation to/from Rome and Naples airport, so it was easy to get to the villa.
The views from the home are gorgeous - view of the sea from the patio, living room, and 2 of the bedrooms. It is a 7-10 minute walk to the lovely beach - you go down several dozen stone stairs, and it's a stone beach, so bring your walking sandals / water shoes. The beach is free, but you can rent chairs / umbrellas and it has a small cafe. Near the beach are several oceanside restaurants and the port - highly recommend the boat tour to nearby Positano and Amalfi (ask host!). Vico Equense is a very nice (not touristy) town - it is another 7-10 minute walk *up* several dozen stone stairs, with restaurants, shops, and gelato.
You must do the private chef's dinner - Maria Cristina is a wonderful cook! We had a fantastic time eating on the patio at sunset.

This villa had beautiful terraces and plenty of space for our group of 6 friends. The views were gorgeous, the propery was clean and the location was great with about a 15 min walk to the train station and a short commute into Sorrento.
The stairs up from the property, as beautiful as they are, were a beast... especially in the rain.
So, if you aren't up for the challenge, take the driveway up to the main road, it's much easier.
I recommend that you take advantage of the added experiencees the host offers. They ended up being some of our biggest highlights of our 2 weeks in Italy.
Marica's chef dinner experience our first night was so delicious, and made my husbands birthday celebration extra special. Be sure to add on the day trip to Pompeii and Napoli. Our driver, "Super Mario" was all that! He had a fantastic itinerary ready for us, and even took us to a very special and unexpected spot for lunch which made our tour next level!
Our hosts, Pierluigi and Marica were fantastic with excellent communication and top notch hospitality. Marica even handled ordering in food for our group one night. They made our stay easy, comfotable and feel very exclusive!
We will definitely be back for another visit and stay at this amazing villa again!

As other reviewers have said, pictures of property just does not do it justice. We had six family members and plenty of room for all. Lots of steps, but convenient to beach or in town. We loved the smaller town and dined every night with views of sea and sunset. We set up drivers, tours and even pizza delivery through our host. Convenient to have English speaking host, as our Italian was limited to google translate. We stayed for two weeks in June and had perfect weather …80s in day and 60s in night!!

Lovely home with wonderful views. Take advantage of the options: private sailing tour to Capri and around Capri, minibus tour and dinner made by Mariika. Great location for restaurants nearby as well.

First of all, Vico Equense was an amazing location to stay when seeing the Amalfi coast. A hidden gem.
We loved the place and we also had an amazing dinner prepared for us there. It was fabulous!
Go stay there! You will absolutely love it !

Photos do not do this home justice! What an amazing surprise when we arrived. Room enough for 8 adults, the view was just amazing, location was awesome. The drive way was a bit tricky but manageable at a slow speed. Pirluigi was an absolutely amazing host & the private boat trip he arranged was an absolute highlight for everyone.
5.0
Pierluigi and Marica were excellent in communicating and arranging transportation and extras, would highly recommend Marica's cooking and the private minibus around the coast to see Ravello/Positano/Amalfi (driving ourselves would have been very stressful). The house is spacious and clean. There are steep steps or road to get into town which was good exercise for us and a nice range of shops and bars/restaurants in Vico Equense. We used the train to get to Sorrento/Pompei/Vesuvius which is quite easy to do.

Wonderful property on the Bay of Naples
We visited for several days as part of larger vacation, had a wonderful stay in Vico Equense. Relatively easy walk to the beach/restaurants/Marina as long as you dont mind stairs (and if you dont like stairs you should avoid the entire Amalfi area). Property is beautiful - nice bedrooms / big bathrooms with a big nice kitchen. Bathrooms are large and very functional as well. The downstairs room has a separate entry and its own bathroom- not as bright as the other rooms but the separate space was welcome for us us we had a second couple with us who liked getting their own space.. Porch / patio is as shown- lovely breezesviews and warm sunlight till late in the evening, unlike the Amalfi coast side where the sun goes behind the cliffs at 6pm. The public beach option was very crowded, suggest paying extra to go to Le Axidie, where you can have a memorable dinner on their deck with the sunset and Vesuvious / Naples in full view. Lastly- the boat trip that was arranged for us around Capri was simply amazing- experience of a lifetime that you have to take advantage of.
Pierluigi and Marika were fabulous hosts, always a call or text away and always willing to help with any help you need.

Slice of Paradise on the Coast
We stayed here over the Winter Holidays. This villa had plenty of room for 2 active families. The views were amazing, the location is great and the home is very comfortable. Marika cooked us a fabulous meal our last night. It was a truly memorable experience and I highly recommend this home.

Would Not Recommend for Older People
The villa was okay, the view is beautiful, but we had a little problem with one of the bathrooms upstairs, would not flush correctly and had a terrible smell. There are over 100 steps to the beach and also to get to the town. This villa would only be good for younger people or those who are in very good condition. We were 6 people staying and 3 of us (older) could not climb the stairs so never got to the beach. We envisioned this to be very different than it was. The property manager, Pierluigi is wonderful and helped us make arrangements for drivers and tried his best to please us.

Serenity on the coast
We stayed here for 5 night and loved it. We had cocktails on the lovely patio each night at sunset and enjoyed both the quaint town and the beach and marina very much. It was hot the week we stayed but the fans helped keep us cool. Piere Luigi was the perfect host , helping us with reservations for everything and checking in throughout our stay. Those stairs up to town and down to the beach we’re kind of brutal but we survived and ultimately loved our visit.

Wonderful views and property
The property is so pretty and the town and beaches are lovely. Francesca was there to meet us at check in and was so helpful and spoke English very well. The owner Pierluigi was in constant contact by text during our stay and was so helpful with any questions and getting us anything we needed. We were a party of 8 and had plenty of room to spread out and all easily fit at the lovely patio table overlooking the ocean for dinners at home . There are a TON of steps to walk to town or the beach but we made the journey to both daily. Vico Equense, the town where the villa is located, is lovely with such great restaurants ! We did rent a boat for the day to go to Capri out of the local marina (set up by Pierluigi) and it was a highlight of our whole visit to Italy.

Beautiful place with lots of amenities. When we noticed an issue, the owner immediately called someone in to fix the problem. Owner was very available for questions, etc. I would highly recommend this place.

Tranquil
We are 2 familes and, as a group of 7, we did not feel crowded. Despite the summer heat, we managed with fans and the breeze as there is no air conditioning. We loved the amazing view, lemons that dropped from the trees, and the delightful decorations. It is a very short walk to beach , the pier, and the central part of the town with amazing restraunts. Pierluigi and Francisca do a great job of keeping the house clean, communicating, and are very friendly. Overall, including 4 teenagers, we all loved our stay!

Great area.
The weather was very hot at end of June and since no air conditioning it was a bit uncomfortable. The fans helped. The pillows in lower bedroom could be better. Walk to beach difficult for 70 year olds but manageable as was walk to town.Overall quite nice. The trips they arranged were very nice. Boat to Capri was nice but Capti very crowdedRoad trip along coast also enjoyable

What an amazing family vacation!
Both PierreLuigi and Marika were wonderful to work with. They took the time to make sure we were informed and happy with each day of our vacation. Marika made us an amazing meal on arrival and accommodated both gluten free and vegan tastes. The neighborhood was quaint and the little town was as well. The house was clean, comfortable and I felt like an authentic Italian, sleeping with my windows open each night. Beautiful views and a very comfortable Italian home. SO happy we decided to stay here. I absolutely would stay again!

Charming Vico Equense - Sorrento Pennisula
We enjoyed our family celebration for five days and our only regret is we didn't stay longer.
The home is ideally located and easy to enjoy surrounding areas. The views were spectacular with steps to the sea. The home offered comfortable accommodations for 8 ppl ( four couples) Two of the front bedrooms had views of the pennisula and harbor. Kitchen was well stocked! The outside gardens were beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.
The host was responsive and provided great area information.
Our family enjoyed the catered dinner by Marika at the house on our last evening.
We all miss it and hope to return
Suggestions
The home is at the bottom of very steep winding hill. I had recent knee replacements and did fine but need to allow additional time traveling back and forth to town and train station and providing drivers specific directions to locate the property.

A wonderful relaxing holiday
Six of us stayed at the villa during October half term. When we arrived at the villa we were met by Mareka who showed us around and explained to us about facilities in the local area. The villa is beautifuly decorated, well equipped and very clean. The views from the balcony overlooking Sejanus bay are amazing. We had a meal prepared for us by Mareka twice and it was fabulous. She is an excellent cook and we would recommend this treat to other visitors.
We went on a tour of the Almalfi coast and saw some amazing places and also some amazing thunderstroms! However, this did not spoil the trip in any way as the driver took us to a beautiful restaurant in the mountains where we had lovely food and cocktails!
Sorento is only a short journey away on the train- which we visited twice during our stay. We also went on an organised trip from the villa to Pompeii and Herculaneum which was fantastic. The driver collected us from the villa and took us straight to the places- so no need to queue in traffic or worry about parking.
Vico Equense is a lovely Italian town and when we stayed at the villa we would walk up the steep steps(!) to the town and we felt that we got a real sense of what life is like for the local people. There are some great places to eat in the town.We also walked down to the beach several times- which is only a short distance away from the villa.
Pierluigi was very attentive to our needs without being intrusive and was more than happy to arrange take away pizza nights for us (pizza by the metre!) which our children totally loved. My brother and his partner enjoyed the wine tasting especially on the beautiful balcony overlooking the bay with Mareka.
All in all we had a lovely and relaxing holiday at the villa and would recommend this as a place to stay for anyone who is looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to stay, amazing places to go to see as well as getting a sense of Italian life. We really enjoyed it. Thank you. Sally, Paul Claire, Daniel, James and Richard.

We Loved this Villa!
Our party of six adults stayed here for five days in September 2018. Pierluigi was incredibly helpful and responsive to all of our questions. He helped to arrange transportation to and from the rail station in Naples, as well as day trips to Herculeum, Mt. Vesuvius and a hair-raising drive along the Amalfi Coast. Our boat trip to Capri was beyond amazing!
If you have the chance to have a meal prepared for you at the Villa by Marica, DO NOT pass it up! We had dinner prepared twice during our visit and the food was incredible! So fresh, so well prepared, and so plentiful!! I can not say enough good things about this Villa. It was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The view from the terrace is worth the trip!! Many, many thanks to Pierluigi and Marica for making our stay so magical!!
Grazie mille!!!

Perfect in every way
My wife and I and our four children spent 4 nights at this home, and it was honestly a perfect experience in every way. Pierluigi was incredibly responsive and helpful at every juncture. He recommended restaurants, offered to help us with tours and even arranged for a woman named Marika to make dinner for us at home to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The meal was both beautiful and delicious. Pierluigi was helpful without ever being pushy. No problems whatsoever with the deposit. As for the house, it is GORGEOUS. It is as nice as the photos suggest and then some. The tile work throughout the house is beautiful. The views of the ocean were breathtaking. As for the location, it was perfect for exploring the Amalfi Coast, a day trip to Capri and touring Pompei. Vico Equense is a charming town just before the Amalfi coast, so you have the benefits of being next to the Amalfi Coast without the insane traffic that you will find 5 miles further south toward Amalfi. We swam in the Mediterranean every day, which is a short 5-10 minute walk. If we could give Pierluigi’s Home a 6-star rating, we would. It is THAT nice. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. Thank you Pierluigi for sharing your beautiful home with our family! And thank you Marika for making our anniversary simply perfect! Grazie

The villa was clean, spacious, and had a lovely outdoor area with beautiful views.
We loved staying here! Pierluigi was very responsive to all of our questions in advance of our trip and Marika showed is everything we needed to know once we arrived. The villa was the perfect size for our group of 8. It was spotless, well equipped and the time floors and many windows helped cool the place down during the heatwave. The beach was a short walk down the stairs. I would highly recommend the all day private boat trip around Capri - it was one of the highlights of the vacation. Thank you Pierluigi!

Wonderful place!
We just completed 5 wonderful days at this beautiful villa. It is super comfortable with all the amenities . The interior is gorgeous with wonderful tile floors and the master bathroom is a showcase. The views and sunsets are stunning. Pierluigi was very helpful and I would encourage you to take advantage of the all day private boat trip to Capri as it was superb. We had a private driver for the Amalfi coast drive which I would strongly recommend. The chef dinner at the villa was a lot of fun and excellent. The one issue for which we were not prepared, as 80 year olds, was the vertical climb from the villa to the main road of the town. If We return I would arrange for Pierluigi to have a driver pick us up every day to take us to the railroad station, grocery store, Pizza parlor etc. The walk down to the villa is not so strenuous. All in all we had a very fine time.

Beautiful Home and terrific ocean views and hospitality
What a perfect vacation home and location to explore the Sorrento/Positano area. A very spacious home and extremely clean. We so enjoyed the travel arrangements provided by Pierliugi. Our driver, Alfonso, was extremely helpful in getting us to and from the train station, as well as the cities in the area. He provided helpful information for the local area such as restaurants and grocery shopping. The roads are very windy and quite nerve racking if you are not use to driving on them. Highly recommend using their travel service - well worth it. We also enjoyed the dinner services at the villa, prepared right in the house and served on the deck. You can walk up into the town for any shopping and eateries or head down the steps to the ocean. Perfect location. Thanks again for the superb hospitality.

Great Home and Great Host
Everything about this Villa is above any expectation we could have had. Pierluigi did a excellent job of making us feel welcome, including helping us arrange a wedding ceremony for our son and daughter-in-law. He arranged for a meal after the wedding, helped us arrange a cake, find a florist, etc.
The house is exactly as described and makes a great home-base for exploring the Amalfi Coast and Naples. The home and area around it are very clean and all expectations are made at the time of check-in. We were there during December and we did run the heat a little bit. The price of that was exactly as Pierluigi had told us it would be.
While there was some times of overcast and cool days, late December and Early January were really nice because the area is not so crowded. We drove the Amalfi Coast road and really enjoyed exploring the area. The town of Vico Equense was quaint and very nice to walk in and stop to eat in several restaurants and coffee shops. There are several small markets which enable a larger group like us (7 of us) to do some of our own cooking. Pizza Metro was amazing. The pizzas are sold by the meter (metro) and it's really good. Super fast delivery, even to the Villa.
I really cannot say enough good things about the house and Pierluigi. If you want an nice quiet place to stay with easy access to the Naples area of Italy, this is the place for you to go. We would definitely recommend the Villa to anyone who is considering staying in this area.

Perfect villa on the coast!
We just got home from an amazing time in Vico. The villa is located steps from the beach with an amazing view of the coast and fruit trees that encapsulate this little piece of heaven. Our group of eight had six adults and two teen boys. We all loved our stay. The house is amazing, with a fabulous location and an even better view. The town by the home has great little shops and eateries that don't take long to walk to at all. We had two cars with us and both cars were able to park right by the house. If you do stay here, I recommend Tito's for a dinner. It was delicious!
There are several other additions that the owners provide, one of them being a dinner with a private chef. We decided to give this a try and we were not disappointed. The meal was amazing! Alfonzo, the chef, created a meal unlike any other meal I have ever had! Not only was the meal the perfect meal, but the company was great as well. Alfonzo and Pierluigi are gracious hosts and amazing young men!
When I come back to the Sorrento area, and I will, I will definitely stay here again!
Thank you so much for an absolutely perfect experience!

breathtaking view
Pierluigi was very helpful from the booking process to our departure. The view from the balcony is the icing on the cake. Beautiful sunsets. The house was exquisite. It was perfect for our group of 6 adults (a few seniors) Pierluigi and Alfonso cooked a delicious meal for us. They were excellent cooks, as well as nice, young men. We hope to return to Vico Equense, and when we do, we will hopefully stay here again.

Enjoyed our Stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa. We had 8 in our party, including 4 kids ages 10 and 7 years. Pierluigi provided outstanding service. He was very responsive during the booking process and a great help once we arrived at the Villa. One of our kids had dental emergency during our stay. Pierluigi helped us quickly locate a dentist.
The Villa is well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our shopping trip to the many wonderful stores in downtown Vico. We leveraged all of the amenities of the Villa, including a grill, to cook a traditional Italian meal. We enjoyed our meal with the back drop of the Mediterranean Sea from the views provided on the spacious outdoor patio. Each night we would enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail on the patio as we watched the sunset and took in the views.
The kids loved the spaciousness of the Villa and the short walk to the beach.
There was plenty of room to park our two large vehicles (based on what I can tell, this is rare).
From the Villa, we enjoyed day trips to Pompeii and Positano. The drive to Positano was one of the most beautiful drives I've ever taken. The views of the coast and Positano were breath taking.
We really enjoyed the town of Vico Equense. It was not as touristy or as busy as some of the surrounding areas such as Positano and Sorrento. This was very important to our group.
As an extra bonus, there are a number of fresh fruit trees on the property (apricot, plums, and lemons). The kids loved the lemonade we made with the fresh lemons and eating the plums straight from the tree.

Fantastic!
Fantastic location! View is to die for! Many great restaurants in town, including a two star Michelin restaurant just 100steps away. Who could ask for more! We'll situated for day trips to Pompeii, Naples, Sorrento, Almafi, Ravello, etc. either by car or train.
We love the property. We'll equipped and situated. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Very clean and tidy.
