The unit was clean and well stocked with extra pillows, paper goods, and kitchen ware. The beds were comfortable and the pull-out couch gave us that extra sleeping area we needed. We'd never had a unit that high up at the Galvestonian (11th floor) and the view of the island was tremendous. The location is perfect for me -- it's on the east end of the island away from the busyness of town and the beach access is great. Galveston's not a big town, so you can still easily get to any restaurant or attraction you want.

Great getaway weekend location

There were ants all over Master bedroom even in bed. They were all over Master Bedroom and in other bathroom. Ice machine broken and very few dish etc. Very old everything. Hate it because have been to Galvestonian many times and loved it! This Condo is horrible and they should make them update. We need a refund.

This is a beautiful condo with plenty of space for a family. We had five people and it was perfect for us. Could have slept a couple more. Its nice that it is right on the beach with no streets to cross and no crowds. The views in three directions are fantastic. We loved seeing all the ships.

Awesome views!!! great size for large family does need some updating and electrical plugs repaired but nothing that interferred with the enjoyment of the location.

It was a very spacious and comfortable property. The living room furniture could’ve been a little more comfy and maybe another table for one of the balconies for eating outside. Also it would’ve been nice to have a little dustpan for the broom for general tidying up. There may have been one but we couldn’t find it. Thanks! It was a wonderful week!

Very spacious and all beds very comfortable. Lovely views VRBO needs to inform owner electrical outlets in both bathrooms DO NOT work. Lamp in family room has faulty cord and needs repairing. AC control in family room real loose from wall. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

It was a very quiet experience. It was away from the sea wall congestion but easy to find the restaurants.

Beautiful property. Relaxing, gorgeous views. We loved walking the beach and the town of Galveston. Only complaint was coffee maker, carafe didn’t fit quite right and we got grounds in the coffee. Otherwise it was an amazing place!

Roomy with wonderful views. Well equipped kitchen. The pool is large with excellent outdoor facilities. And of course, easy and quick access to the beach. The Galvestonian is near downtown, but on the less crowded east end so it is perfect for relaxation.

We have been staying at the Galvestonian for over 20 years. It is a wonderful property. We have stayed in this unit several times in the past. It is great for family. The management of the Galvestonian has changed with improvements to cleanliness and appearance but the new management team at the front desk is rather unpleasant.

This condo was perfect for our family of 5, and Samia was a great host. There are plenty of electrical outlets and TVs in each room. The appliances are all fairly new and the condo was very clean. Best of all, the living room was very spacious and the views were amazing! The pictures really do not do the space/views justice. The decor was as depicted...dated but also quite interesting. My only complaint was that the living room furniture was very uncomfortable. I would have appreciated a comfortable sectional to watch tv and play games with the family.

We've been coming to Galveston for five years now. This is a nice, quiet area of the island. We plan to return again next year. Everything was just as described in the listing. Thank you for the great experience!

The Galvestonian is located steps from the Gulf of Mexico at the quieter end of the island. Which made for a relaxing vacation. The sunset and sunrise views from the balconies are unbelievable. We also loved watching the cargo ships go by as well as the shrimping boats that would go by in the morning. The front desk clerks were helpful and friendly. And the heated pool and hot tub were awesome. We would definitely come back.

Views were spectacular!!! Plenty of room for two couples and a baby. Very thing we needed was there. The grounds of the complex are very very well kept. We enjoyed the grill, swam in the heated pool and rented chairs/umbrellas at the beach. Overall a very nice experience!

We love staying here. It's comfortable and has beautiful views. The staff are always friendly. The access to the beach is great. I also find the beds very comfortable, which you don't get often in a rental. This is our second year in this space.

This place is awesome. Super close to the soccer venue, clean, easy check-in, easy checkout, so friendly, awesome maintenance, great pool, and beach access. We loved the views from the 11th-floor corner. Amenities were perfect. We will be back!

The Galvestonian is located right on the beach, so you don’t have to cross all those lanes of traffic on the Seawall. It’s a short walk down the boardwalk onto the beach. Its very close to stores/ restaurants. But you do pay for this luxury- it is pricey to stay here!

We’ve been staying at owner properties at The Galvestonian for at least once a year for the last 10 years. It’s always a great stay as the rooms are always clean and you can’t beat being right on the beach, which is clean and easy to get in and out of. Not to mention the pool, hot tub, and all the places to go in Galveston. For this particular unit, our booking had an issue and our room had not been cleaned when we arrived. It was quickly resolved but we had to wait 2 hours before the cleaning was finished. We just rolled with it, dropped off our luggage, and went to the pool while they finished. The owner offered an extended stay for our last day, but we decided to leave on schedule. Other than that, there were some minor issues with a few electrical outlets not working, and the living room TV cable box did not work (the other room TVs worked fine). The WiFi password was also not what was sent to us but the password on the router itself was the key. Again, these were minor issues that we didn’t care much about as we were there for the beach and pool. The rooms themselves were fully stocked, beds were really soft (somewhat too soft for me) and we had everything we needed right there. Showers were hot and the A/C cold. A few tips we always recommend while coming to this hotel: -Book 5-6 months in advance. Also, if you want to rent the chairs and umbrella on the beach (~$35/day), also call The Galvestonian front desk and reserve those months in advance as well as they book fast. - Bring DEET 98%. The mosquitos will eat you alive around the hotel. -There are luggage racks and carts to help get your stuff in the room. Unload the car at the entrance and then take everything up after you check-in using those. Don’t break your back. -Don’t bring too much beach stuff. You probably won’t use much and it’s a pain to take it all with you. Pay the $35 and rent those chairs and umbrella on the beach, bring an inner tube for the waves, and maybe a bag of beach castle toys for the kids. Seriously, save yourself the pain of bringing canopies and everything else. You can grill and eat outside the hotel in a really nice park area, which includes hammocks and other stuff too. -For sand, make sure you shower off at the beach entrance, along with all your gear, then go jump in the pool for an hour. It’ll wear out those kids in time for a nap. -Bring small flashlights and a bucket, then go look for crabs at night. It’s a fun experience for the kids.

This 3 bedroom condo was wonderful. We had a very relaxing stay. Loved the balconies and all the amenities.

This condo was more than we expected! Each bedroom had a spectacular view and balcony. The resort was nice with pretty grounds, relaxing hammocks, and many other details that we really appreciated such as wagons for the beach and a beach toy chest. Definitely recommended and we are already talking about coming back!

We came with my parents, unfortunately my dad ended up in the hospital. It was great to have a place so close to the hospital, that was easy to get to and a nice place to relax. We’ve stayed at the property several times over the years and we can’t b convinced to try someplace else. This was a first time in this unit and it was perfect for the 6 of us, although my dad never even got to see it.

Condo had a lot of room for the 7 of us. Great views of the Bay and Beach! The property managers were very communicative and responsive to any questions. The only small drawback was there wasn’t a lot of room for groceries that didn’t need refrigeration. We made due with finding a cabinet that had some space. Other than that which was very minor, it was great!
