Great rooms and fantastic staff. Nothing was too hard and they were happy to help. Loved sharing a beer and a chat with Nigel (owner) who had immense local knowledge. Rooms and fantastic and fresh (great bathrooms). Special shout out to the dive team (Eddie, Amit and Dharma) who looked after us underwater. You guys are amazing.

Friendly accommodation, nice place very quiet. Nice snorkeling just in front of the accomodation.

Die Lage ist super (wobei auf Gili Gede die Lage letztlich überall gut ist, weil es so klein ist). Das Personal war auch sehr nett. Das Essen war sehr lecker und es gab einige vegetarische Optionen. Auch war es super, dass man sich Schnorchelequipment etc. ausleihen konnte.

Bei der Ankunft hat uns eine kleine Einführung mit Infos gefehlt, denn während unseres Aufenthalts mussten wir uns alles erfragen. Außerdem war das Zimmer nicht sehr sauber. Während unseres Aufenthalts (4 Nächte) wurde auch nicht saubergemacht bzw. wir wurden nicht gefragt ob wir eine Reinigung oder neue Handtücher möchten. Im Zimmer gab es keinen Mülleimer - auch hier: niemand hat uns erklärt, wo wir unseren Müll am besten entsorgen können. Das Kayak war leider kaputt (im Boot selbst ist ein Loch und das Paddel ist kaputt) und daher nicht nutzbar. Außerdem hat der Chef teilweise etwas abwertend/überheblich über sein Personal gesprochen, das war nicht so angenehm. Wir haben mehrere Unterkünfte auf Gili Gede getestet und waren vom THD im Vergleich recht enttäuscht - insgesamt war das Personal nicht so aufmerksam wie in anderen Unterkünften und die Ausstattung, die wir uns gewünscht hatten war nicht richtig nutzbar. Was uns hier genauso wie in den anderen Unterkünften auf der Insel gefehlt hat: Tipps zum Umgang mit den Korallenriffen! Direkt an der Küste sind überall Korallen, da muss man sehr gut aufpassen wenn man ins Wasser geht dass man diese nicht zerstört; außerdem sollte man unbedingt korallenfreundliche Sonnencreme nutzen oder sich einen Wetsuit anziehen mit dem man sich gar nicht eincremen muss. Hier wären ein paar Hinweise im Hotel zum Umweltschutz super!

Es war noch schöner als auf den Fotos, ein wahres Paradies, mit 4 nettes Häuschen direkt am Meer, wahnsinnig nette Angestellten und Guides und ein sehr leckeres Restaurant. Schnorchenausrüstung kann man sich gratis leihen und es ist vor dem Haus direkt ein Reef in dem wir wahnsinnig viele Fische gesehen haben. Auch gibt es immer gratis Trinkwasser und die australischen Besitzer:innen sind sehr nett. Man kann tauchen und schnorcheln gehen und alles was das Herz begehrt.

Rien

The High Dive is run by Nigel and Lisa - wonderful people that will do everything to make you feel at home. It is perfectly located in the south of the island and has a reef that can be explored right in front. The owners are very helpful in any way (organisation of diving, snorkeling, sailing etc) and put strong emphasis on running the hotel in an ecofirendly way. As such litter is being collected and all thrash is brought back to the mainland. The staff as well is amazing. We will definitely come back.

Great location, very chill area of the island. Staff were really friendly and helpful with boat transfers, including getting to and from the island. Good breakfast, cold aircon, and right in front of an area to snorkel. A great chill spot to hang out with my partner and enjoy doing nothing at all. Overall would stay here again!

The water pressure was a bit low in the shower, but all their water is brought in daily via boat, so I appreciate why this occurred. The blinds in the rooms left some gaps around the windows, would have preferred a bit more privacy.

Location is great as is the food, cleanliness and hosts.

We prefer a slightly bigger room with more privacy.
