We had a wonderful week as first time visitors to Maui staying at Bryce and Beebee’s Sunset Beach House. Traveling with 3 generations of family, the home was perfect for us. It had the feel of staying at a friend’s vacation home because of all the thoughtful touches from people who have actually lived there. They had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay, cook at home, and enjoy the beach. My dad enjoyed the selection of books, picking out a few neat ones on Hawaii’s history; they had beach equipment galore that made things more fun for each of us, from 14m to 75y (umbrellas, chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, snorkel equipment and beach shoes which were super helpful); they even had curly straws that worked for the fresh coconuts we picked up and storage containers for leftovers. For those of you coming with babies or toddlers, they even had a highchair! The two baby gates work in the house, but you’ll need to get creative for the outdoor stair on the big lanai, though we had no issues.
Their directions and communication leading up to and throughout the stay was wonderful. The fruit trees on the property were an unexpected delight, and having a grocery store, lots of restaurants, and food truck garden just blocks away was great.
We spent most of our time on the lanai watching the beautiful sunsets and taking in the serene surroundings. We would absolutely recommend staying here for your family’s vacation!

We had three generations of family together on vacation and the Sunset Beach House was fantastic. The house was as-described and included everything we needed. The owners and property manager (Tara) were responsive, informative and accommodating. Beachfront, and still very convenient to restaurants and shopping.

Very convenient accommodations right on the beach. Master bedroom suite upstairs has beautiful views of beach. A good selection of restaurants is within easy walking distance. We counted 23 turtles that came up to sleep on the beach nearby!

We had 5 adults staying at "The Sunset Beach House" (the book Bryce & Bee-Bee made showing the design/building of the house is a must-see). From the moment we walked onto the top floor and opened the sliding doors to hear waves crashing on the beach 100 yards away we knew it was going to be special. The house is exactly what it appears on VRBO, but trust me, it will far exceed your expectations! The beds were all very comfy, there were fans in every bedroom that we utilized frequently. 90% of the time A/C wasn't necessary but they do have individual units in each room to cool everything down if necessary. TONS of ocean toys for adults and I think the most toys for building sandcastles I've ever seen in one place, if you have little ones they will ask to come back again and again. My fiance and I just got engaged and are considering getting married on Maui, we can't wait to return to the Sunset Beach House with our little keiki and make many more special memories. Our family had a great time at this beautiful property. Peaceful and perfect location to watch the sunset every evening. Well appointed with all you need. Side note: the coffee maker is for ground coffee not for Keurig kcups, in case you stop at Costco on your way to the house. :)

Our extended family of 6 adults had a wonderful stay. Everything is as described and as shown in the pictures; in fact, the photos don't do justice to the beach. You could easily stroll down the beach for 20 minutes in either direction.
The place was clean and well-furnished, the beds comfortable, the air conditioning in the bedrooms reliable, and the rest of the house was kept comfortable just by opening the windows and doors.
The location is convenient and the owners are very communicative. Easy to recommend.

The ocean is right in the backyard of the Sunset Beach House! We enjoyed the spectacular view most often from the hammock and lanai. We walked the beach on a full moon night and found 19 sea turtles. Magical!
The house is open, spacious and beautiful. The bedrooms were comfortable with air conditioning if wanted. Beach chairs and boogie boards are available to use. There was a small ant problem in the kitchen, but we could tell the property manager was already aware as traps were set before we arrived.
Easy walk to the grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants and shopping. We happily stumbled upon a 4th Friday event at the nearby marketplace that had live music, food trucks and lots of open air vendors. It was fantastic! If you jump in your Jeep rental and turn right out of the neighborhood, you’ll find a local surf spot, park, playground and restaurants/shops maybe 5 minutes away.

The moment we stepped into the Sunset Beach House we knew we were home. Our favorite way to travel is through house rentals because we love to spend time in the house.
This house is our favorite by far. The location is perfect (20 minutes from the airport) and the view is breathtaking. Everything you need is within a 1 mile radius. There are tons of restaurants and shopping as well as South Maui Gardens (great food trucks!). There is even a gym and supermarket within walking distance. The decor is warm and inviting, reflecting the sunset theme. The beds are comfortable and there is more than enough room for a family. Everyone had their own space! We spent many evenings eating dinner and watching the sunset on the back porch. Although we scheduled many activities, we always looked forward to a chill day spent in the backyard on the beach. Bryce and Tara (property manager) were great communicators and made us feel welcome.
Those are the big things. Now for the small things that really make a difference: a well stocked kitchen with sauces and spices as well as any small appliance you may need, hairdryers and sundries in the bathrooms, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach towels, sand toys, and boogie boards in the basement. We never got to the kayaks, but they are there as well!
If you want to feel at home in Maui, this is the place to be! We will be back!

Property was Amazing! Backyard was as described with accurate photos! Kitchen was fully stocked. Location was prime to grocery store and restaurants. Was a family of 7 including 2 grandkids 6 and 3 yrs old.. kids loved the huge backyard, finding sea shells and seeing huge turtles come up on the beach at night. Would definitely recommend this home!

The house is located in the quiet town of Kihei and is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants as well as many tourist attractions. The back of the house faces west and thus has great year round sunset views. Owners are very responsive to any needs. I would definitely stay here again.

Well let me tell you. If you don’t stay here you just passed up one of the best places you will ever get the pleasure of staying at in a lifetime. Bryce was out of town so I got to talk with the o so sweet beebe my new friend. We talked and it was like we knew each other for years as some of the same stuff in my life has happened in hers. Her daughter Courtney came in a day after we got there talk about a sweet lady! She was so helpful and just like her mom nice . The place was breathtaking . I’m so sad to be home and wish this home was mine. They have a gem and if you ever get the pleasure of staying here . Don’t hesitate book book it’s a amazing house.

The Sunset Beach House was delightful and perfect for our week in Maui. Location is amazing on a quiet, beautiful beach with plenty of sea turtles! The house was easy to find and access on arrival and had everything we needed for our beach vacation. We especially appreciated the pack and play and toddler bed that were available for use. Plenty of sand toys, snorkel gear, and beach chairs for everyone. The waterfall spa is such a special part of this property and made for a great little swim for the kids. The easy walk to the grocery store and shops made this location very convenient. Bryce and Beebe were excellent hosts and responded to all questions immediately. Tara, the property manger, was also very helpful at assisting us with additional supplies. Would love to return again in the future!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Buchanan’s home in Kihei. We had a bit of a rocky start, but Bryce and Bebe were more than gracious in accommodating our needs and making our stay unforgettable. Our 5-year-old granddaughter and 2-year-old grandson loved the yard, the beach, and playing in the house. The adults loved how close it was to the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores. We would get takeout from a restaurant nearby and sit on the lanai and watch the sunset. It was magical! The house was also the perfect place to relax when a child napped, while everyone else could be on the beach. We loved the night beach walks to see the sleeping turtles (which our grandkids are still talking about)! I would highly recommend this home for a vacation getaway. We are already talking about coming back!

My husband and I booked this with 2 other couples to stay for the week. This was perfect for the 6 of us with three bedrooms and a downstairs den. We had a wonderful stay and will book this place again for future visits! The house has been well taken care of, amazing view every morning and the owners are very communicative. They sent us very detailed instructions that were easy to follow and also gave us great tips on places to check out. They also checked in with us incase we needed anything and guided us on where to go find the Sea Turtles at night. I felt they wanted to make sure we really enjoyed our stay there. They had plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards and coolers that they let us know we could use which made for some great days at the beach and was much appreciated! It was so great to be able to wake up and walk right out on the beach or just admire the view from the balcony! House is just minutes away from stores, local restaurants and shops. This is a great place to stay with friends and family!

Perfect location! Beach is the backyard, lots of great places to eat and a grocery store within in walking distance.Everything you could need for the beach is at the house. We enjoyed bbqing dinner and eating outside on the balcony one night to watch the sunset, which was fabulous. Kitchen has everything you need. Easy drive to all the popular spots in Maui. This house is perfect for a family get away. We can't wait to visit again. Bebe was great to communicate with and she provided lots of great places to eat and things to do. Such a beautiful spot. We didn't want to come home

The Sunset Beach house had plenty of room for 6 adults. The location was amazing—right on the beach with a big yard. The house had plenty of chairs, towels, boogie boards and coolers for the beach. We rented SUP for our stay and saw plenty of turtles out in front of the house. Every night before dinner, we watched the sunset, either from the beach or from the house. It was a great relaxing stay.

Beautiful home on a piece of property that can't be beat. Sunsets are advertised--beautiful every day, and gatherings for everyone on the beach. Real neighborhood feel with good food nearby, and a short drive to some amazing beaches if you don't want to swim out back. We loved our time here.

Wonderful family vacation in Kihei
My family (husband, teens & parents) spent a week at this wonderful property in June 2022. The location of the property is wonderful-- very close to restaurants, stores, etc but situated in a setting that feels very private and quiet. We all had plenty of space -- the downstairs was like a separate apartment with it's own TV and kitchenette where my kids could hang out on their own. Mostly you'll just want to sit on the back deck and look at the wonderful ocean view. You can walk right out of the house, across the lush lawn and jump in the ocean. I appreciated that the house came with plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, cooler- everything that you need for your beach day. There are separate AC units in all of the rooms but mostly the trade winds and the ocean breezes do wonders to cool things down if needed.
The property manager and owners were very easy to work with and responsive to our questions.
If I had any critical feedback, I would say that the bedding could use an upgrade-- maybe light weight comforters instead of coverlets but that was hardly an issue- we all slept very comfortably. My whole family agreed that we would not hesitate to rent this property again.

Perfect Hawaiian Retreat
Beautiful family home located right on the beach. The breeze from the ocean keeps you cool all day/ night long. It is very peaceful in the little section of Kihei and away from the hustle and bustle of Hawaiian tourism; however you are close enough to those activities if you want to partake. Small grocery is in walking distance; bigger store with more selection 5-10 min drive. Highly suggest making this home you base camp for Maui

Very comfortable home with amazing views
We had great time, the house was right on the beach and had everything we need, snorkeling gogles, paddle boards, lots of sand toys for the kids. Close to restaurants is a big plus. Very clean. The owners an property manager Tara were very friendly and made sure we had everything we need.

We fell in love with the location! Plenty of room for our family of five. Beautiful breezes with windows open day and night, constant sound of waves rolling in and being able to walk directly across the lawn to the beach was unbeatable. Bruce called upon arrival the first day to check in and make sure everything was in order and to answer questions. He even offered to provide travel tips and ideas. We would definitely come back!

Amazing stay and sunsets
Our stay was one of the best The house is well equipped for anything you might need in the kitchen, beach towels, water sports etc we were 6 adults and we were comfortable no matter where we hung out lanai, den, dining and living area We went out to eat but also prepared several meals at the house. The sunsets are the best had a few cloudy days it just made us appreciate the clear evenings that much more I highly recommend this property, the owners are easily accessible and very helpful.
