The house is small and cozy with everything you need. Lots of natural light and a beautiful view into the trees from the upstairs bedroom. King bed is very comfortable. The shower has great water pressure. Nice character with interesting wood details. Best of all is the surrounding property with beautiful walking trails and views of Lake Champlain. For anyone who enjoys nature, this house is in the perfect location (while still minutes from the center of Shelburne with a grocery store and great selection of restaurants). Our host was thoughtful and easy to work with. We highly recommend this house to anyone who appreciates natural beauty and enjoys small and cozy.

We stayed in the winter while visiting my parents nearby. The house was set up perfectly for our stay, with lots of special touches like the maple syrup, local cheddar and milk provided. The kitchen has every type of equipment, although we didn't end up cooking there. We did appreciate the electric kettle for our tea and the laundry facilities. Shelburne Farms is amazing, and we did lots of walks even in the raw temperatures. Kate was super helpful and communicative, even inviting us back to stay on our departure night due to a storm (we got out fine). We hope to be back in another season!

There are not enough stars to rate or words to truly capture the peace and beauty of Sugarbush Cottage and Shelburne Farms. It is an experience that is to be felt. We had such an amazing experience walking all around the farm. The views are spectacular and the cottage is cozy, clean, and had everything we needed and wanted. The owner, Kate, is super friendly, available, and very kind. It was hard to leave such a perfect place!

This was the third time we've stayed at this property. It is peaceful and serene, the kitchen is very well equipped, comfortable beds and seating. Kate is a wonderful host and always quick to respond if we've had any questions. We are always welcomed with a fresh bag of coffee, crackers and wonderful cheese (that is made right there on the farm.) There are miles of trails to walk on the farm and the views of the lake, mountains and woodlands are breathtaking. (We loved hearing the barred owls every morning.)
The location is close to Burlington and many other charming towns and vistas that you'll want to experience.

The cottage at Shelburne Farms is a treasure and Kate is a wonderful host. The house is immaculate and fully stocked with linens and very nice kitchen ware, AC for those unexpected hot days in VT and full laundry. The setting is quintessential Vermont. Hope to return!

Great first experience with VRBO. Location beautiful. Kate, our host, who lives next door was quick to answer any question we had. Home was equipped with everything we needed. We had our two dogs with us and house was equipped with baby gates at stairs which provided peace of mind! We would definitely recommend and do a return visit

We had a peaceful week at this comfortable cottage on Shelburne Farms, overlooking a meadow with a distant view of Lake Champlain. The master bed is comfy, and the open floor plan downstairs was perfect. The kitchen is really well stocked - we would have easily entertained family for dinner and plan to next time! Easy access to Shelburne and Burlington but a totally “off the beaten path” feel at the cottage itself. Kate is an outstanding host - unobtrusive but conscientious to ensure a perfect stay. We will definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Sugarbush Cottage was one of the best vacation experiences we've ever had and one of the primary reasons was our host Kate. Her thoughtfulness and genuine desire to make sure we were comfortable and our needs were met, made it an extremely positive getaway for us. The setting is simply beautiful and so peaceful. We can't wait to go back!

Nice house, great location. Perfect for our small family. We had a nice time grilling on the back deck and the house was nicely provisioned. The host was responsive and friendly. Right near a bunch of walking trails. Barn out the front door.

Perfect getaway for 3oth Anniversary
This was a special getaway for my wife and I, in a wonderful cottage in a wonderful place. We really enjoyed our stay, and our hosts were great, and Shelburne Farms is a special place to visit. We are looking forward to returning soon!

We needed a place to get away, and this cottage was perfect. Close to what we wanted to do, yet secluded for relaxing. I LOVE Shelburne Farms so it was a joy to drive around. All the guides are so friendly and helpful. As for the cottage, nothing was lacking at all, and we made quick work of the Vermont cheese Kate left for us! If you love to cook, this kitchen has everything. If you want good restaurants, Shelburne road has several. I wish I could live there!!Just one thing, if you have dogs, the stairs are uncarpeted. My two Corgis immediately fell down the open basement stairs. Neither was hurt and within a day they were running up and down as if they'd been doing it all their lives. The cottage even has baby/dog gates, one of which we put at the top of the basement stairs. If you're looking for a cottage with everything, in the middle of gorgeous property, with friendly, helpful owners, you've found it with this one.

LOVELY COTTAGE IN A SPECTACULAR SETTING
Let me start by saying that all of the 5-star reviews are spot-on. Based upon everything we read before booking, we fully expected to love Sugarbush Cottage and, I must say, our expectations were exceeded. The cottage has been lovingly renovated and very nicely furnished. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything a good cook could ask for. The hosts, Kate and Marshall, have meticulously anticipated their guests' needs, and are extremely pleasant and accommodating.
The setting is bucolic and the cottage takes advantage of the woodland and meadow views from every angle. And, the privilege of staying on the grounds of Shelburne Farms is incomparable. We enjoyed every moment. We traveled from Washington, DC for a wedding and would love to find an opportunity to return.

We had a fantastic weekend staying at the Sugarbush Cottage. Marshall and Kate were welcoming and very responsive, and the cottage had everything we needed and more. The location is perfect and absolutely beautiful and we hope to return for another vacation here someday! Highly recommend.

Well-appointed and perfectly situated, this cottage was exactly what my family needed. We enjoyed long walks throughout the farm, yoga at the studio down the street, and fine dining in Burlington (a quick 10 minutes away). The cottage is charming, immaculate, and has everything you might need (beautiful views, soft beds, and a cozy couch). We can't wait to return!

I have stayed three times now at the charming Sugarbush Cottage and I feel right-at-home every time! The cottage is spacious with its open plan and has all the amenities one could need. Never disappoints!
Our 2nd stay at Sugarbush Cottage and it didn’t disappoint! The fall foliage was spectacular and the weather cooperated for the most part. Marshal and Kate were awesome as usual, supplying us with the basics to get started with. Haven’t made future plans, but I’m sure we’ll be back. Thanks again Marshal and Kate
