This beach bungalow is the perfect spot for a family getaway. More than enough room, great location close to beach, and right around the corner from the local playground and tennis courts! Shannon is a very helpful host and is readily reachable at all times. Best of all you can take your 4-legged friend!

House is spacious, well equipped and a very short walk to the beach. Great place to walk with shoreline walking paved path. We enjoyed our week.

This was just what we needed. The house was the right size for our family and within walking distance to the beach which we had all to ourselves during the week. The weather wasn't always on our side but we made the best of it. Restaurants are not too far away either if you don't feel like cooking. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we had a great time!

This is our 4th year staying at the house. My family of four really enjoy the house and the proximity to the beach. It has been a great beach vacation for us each summer!

I went for a quick break away from home/office to be by the sea and the property was exactly as described and I agree with previous reviewers that the house is clean, well equipped and very close to a beach with residents access. Shannon, the owner, was very responsive.

A great location near the beach and in a beautiful neighborhood. Old Saybrook is wonderful small town with lots to do! The house is perfectly situated in town with plenty of space inside and outside to enjoy. The owner was very responsive.

Shannon's house is adorable and in a beautiful location in Old Saybrook just a block from the water. The outdoor space is great and the house was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. Highly recommended!

Great location in pristine beach community. Cottage had all the amenities one needs for a great beach experience.

Unfortunately Mother Nature had a different plan for our vacation then we had. Power was out for the neighborhood due to a storm at the time we were to be at the house. We did however communicate with Shannon multiple times a day to keep informed. Although our trip didn’t work it was an absolute pleasure working with Shannon and we are planning to try again very soon

Perfect location to private beach, easily walked too. Friendly people in the area and owner accommodating, easy to contact and quick to answer any questions asked. Thanks so much for a lovely vacation.

We really loved staying at this property. The owners are Covid-19 conscience and are super nice! The beach isn’t crowded and so relaxing. Was the perfect getaway!!!

This house is a wonderful place to stay. I have stayed in a lot of Airbnbs and VRBO in US and Europe. This is now one of our favorites! 1 block from beach..easy walk, nice clean small beach, very friendly people, lots of activity. If you like to walk, run, bike, kayak or swim this is the perfect spot!! Close to some great restaurants too!

We usually stay at Shannon’s lovely home for a week in August. This is the first year we decided to come up for a long weekend and it was amazing. The weather was perfect and we were able to play tennis both days and catch a show at The Kate (also an incredible experience that was a first for us.) Sunsets on the beach were gorgeous and the water was serene. My new favorite time on the Connecticut shoreline :) Thank you!

This was our second year in a row staying at Shannon’s beautiful home in Old Saybrook. We love the neighborhood, proximity to the beach and center of town. It is such a special place and working with Shannon is always a pleasure, Thank you!

We liked it so much this was actually our second summer spending a couple days at the house and enjoying the proximity to the beach. Great house, property manager, and location!

Owner was very communicative and addressed any questions promptly..One suggestion would be for owner to install better lighting in the kitchen—-under cabinet lighting and recessed lighting in the kitchen ceiling would be a big help at night... Master bedroom was very comfortable, and the bathroom was attractive and updated... The location is excellent...one block to the beach and very convenient to the center of Old Saybrook...

I mentioned to Shannon that I had come to Old Saybrook to celebrate my 60th birthday with my daughters. So, after a long rush hour traffic drive from Philadelphia in the drenching rain, Shannon texted that she would leave the lights on for me. When I walked into the house, not only were the lights on for me, but there was a Happy Birthday ballon tied to a tiny cake. I can’t tell you how touched I was at that simple and lovely gesture. The stay was also lovely. Shannon’s home is beautiful and has everything one would need to make an early Thanksgiving dinner with one’s daughters. Even though I had never met Shannon personally, she was very responsive to questions through texts and it really made us feel like it was our own little beach house. The sound is right down the street and we took our dog on long walks on the sidewalk. One thing to be aware of is the beach itself is a private, ‘members only’, so couldn’t, (legally), go onto the sand. However, it was the middle of November and virtually no one was there, so we did go down to walk on the shore. But we didn’t bring the dog, so we respectfully complied with that rule anyway. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at all with the house or the hosts. I can’t think of anything more they could have done to make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend staying here. P.S. I also recommend Penny Lane Pub!

Shannon has such a lovely, comforting home and we had such a nice time staying at her place in this beautiful location. The nieghborhood is so cute and you can walk right down the street to the water! Everything was very homey and clean and check in was very easy and convenient. We are so happy we chose this place to stay for few night with friends!

Our family of five easily fit into this house and were very comfortable. Shannon was very accommodating on anything we needed. The house is fully appointed and updated kitchen, appliances etc. Very quiet neighborhood, short walk to the beach and playground area. Highly recommend staying here.

What a cute house! Had a great time in Old Saybrook and did some damage at the nearby outlets. Nice walk to the beach. Looking forward to returning.

We stayed here at the end of August and the home was perfect for our family of four. We have a 1 year old and 4 year old so being able to walk to the beach was great! There was a playground nearby which was a great option as well. We really enjoyed it and the owner was responsive and easy to work with. We'd certainly plan to visit again.

We had one of the best vacations at this adorable ranch one block from the beach. Our family of four plus our dog were extremely comfortable. The house had everything we needed and Shannon, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. There is a new tennis court, basketball hoops and playground around the corner which we used daily. We also spent every day at the beach which has picnic tables and a long sun deck. My boys loved using their boogie boards in the Long Island Sound. The town of Old Saybrook is a 5 minute drive and has amazing restaurants and cute shops. We are definitely coming back! Looking forward to next time. Thank you Shannon! :)
