The location, lake, and boat slip are unbeatable. We had a great week and we were able to get out on the boat every day!

I very much enjoyed staying at Dot's. She and Dave were very welcoming. When I saw them during the week, we had great conversations. I came explore the area on my bike and use my paddle board and used their tips for my adventures. It was awesome to be able to spend time on the lake before my 2 days of work too and be at my computer to start the day. I hope to go back and visit.

Such wonderfully accommodating hosts. Beautiful cottage equipped with everything one could need. THE VIEW IS INCREDIBLE! Sit anywhere in this cottage and look out at beautiful Winnisquam Lake. It’s a no- wake zone so very quiet. Lots of activity to watch on the sandbar several hundred feet from shore. Very quiet cottage, peaceful and just a lovely, lovely place to stay.

Our hosts were pleasantly welcoming. Although they live above the rental unit, they were extremely respectful of our privacy. Everything we needed was supplied. One thing to be aware of is that the ceilings are somewhat low, about 6 feet

The rental was in a great location had a great view of the lake and the hosts were very accommodating.

just to get up and eat breakfast while looking over at the lake was the best way to start the day.

This is one of the best places we've stayed on Lake Winnisquam. Views are wonderful, owners made our stay the best. Home is clean and comfortable. We truly can't wait to stay again. Thank you Dorothy and Dave!

We had a pleasant stay. It was easy to find and check-in. It was clean, quiet, and well-equipped. The bed was too small for us, so something to keep in mind if you prefer at least a queen. Otherwise, we had everything else we needed.

This was the perfect place for our vacation. Right on the water, very peaceful and close to everything. The apartment was perfect and the host were exceptional people. I would highly recommend this rental.

The homeowners were very friendly. Rental under the main house was cozy and clean. The lake view was amazing! The kitchen was fully stocked with all you would need, even an ice maker. The bed was comfy. There was a small sandy beach area and the water was awesome. We enjoyed everything about this rental and will return soon.

Lovely spot in a perfect location for my wife and I. Accommodations were clean and had everything you'd need. Hosts were excellent and we look forward to going back!

We stayed for two hot weeks. The air conditioning worked great. The place is really comfortable. The crown of the stay was having blueberries fresh from the garden and a special treat of homemade blueberry muffins. The hosts were really nice and helpful. We'll be back!

Our apartment was just steps away from the water in a nice, quiet neighborhood with off-street parting. The accommodations were clean and well maintained. And to top it off the owners made us feel so welcomed. We like visiting New Hampshire by just traveling the back roads and enjoying the small towns and scenery. This location is the most southern of all our prior visits to New Hampshire so we found plenty to explore close by. The time of year did not afford us the opportunity to take advantage of the lake for water activities. We do not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to the area, with one caveat - the ceilings are low, so visitors 6' or more will find it uncomfortable. But for us shorty's this is a gem with a beautiful setting.

it's right on the water, with a dock and an area on the left to launch kayaks. the sand bar is with in swimming distance. The owners are really nice and the place was really clean.

We just had a great week at Lake Winnisquam. This waterfront one-bedroom apartment is close to everything the Lake area has to offer. It is right near the bridge, miniature golf, restaurants (all less than 1/2 mile... almost walking distance) and the Tanger Outlets (about 4.5 miles). There is off-street parking right in front of the cottage. You do need to go down five steps to the main level of the yard, but there are railings to help navigate up and down. Once down the stairs, the entrance to the apartment is on the left of the cottage and it is only one step down into the living room. Inside you get a wonderful expansive view of the lake from the living room windows and the room is much larger than the photos indicate, as is the whole apartment in general. There is a cute kitchen with all appliances, bathroom with walk-in shower, and a one bed/bedroom with plenty of closet and drawer space. You also get a lovely yard in which to sit (either in sun or shade any time of day) with an outdoor table, four comfortable chairs, and nice clean grille for your convenience. The yard is well-cared for and has lovely flowers and tasteful decorations here and there. You have a lot of privacy, as the owners live upstairs and utilize their deck leaving the outside lawn to their quests. The sandbar area is directly in front of you, so it was a great place to people and boat watch. We swam out to the sandbar a few times with floats. I don't think I would swim the distance without a float, however, as it was very shallow for half the swim but then it was over my head for the second half until you got to the sandbar. It was a nice refreshing swim on the whole. There is a small sandy area in which to enter the water that is free from the small pebbles and rocks which we have encountered at other cottages, but this is only for about 8-10 feet. Like most of Lake Winnisquam, most of the sand is out at the sandbar. I highly recommend this apartment for a single person or couple, as it is very clean and comfortable and has a beautiful yard with privacy. The owners, Dorothy and David, are very nice and extremely accommodating. This apartment is a great waterfront spot. Sheila L. 8/6/2017

My Mother - 89 years young - stayed here for two weeks. She had a wonderful stay with friends and family dropping by for a lunch and swim. Very peaceful spot and right on the water. Dot and Dave are just amazing helping out when ever possible and so friendly. The apartment is clean and easy to live in - great couple get way too!!

Great experience !

My husband and I just stayed here for 3 nights. Couldn't ask for a better deal! Right on the water, beach access, a grill AND the use of 2 kayaks and a canoe. The hosts were wonderful. The apartment was adorable and the kitchen was fully equipt. I also forgot a couple toiletries and there was a basket in the bathroom of anything you may have forgotten. The location is also near the marina where we rented a boat, and right by the mini-golf which we also did. I would absolutely reccomend this to anyone who wants a lakeside getaway. Cheaper than most hotels and you get a whole lot more. Thanks Dotty and Dave!

Dottie and Dave were perfect hosts; the lake was beautiful and fascinating to watch to boats moored on the sandbar. The marina is close for those who want to rent kayaks or canoes. For us it was perfect just to relax and get-a-way. If you are a strong swimmer, the sandbar is about 150 yds off shore, but why would you want to as the little sandy beach is right there? There is a little local lobster/clam "restaurant" very close, as is much of the retail that you might need. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen well-appointed; after driving many, miles this place was perfect. (Dave's garden was impressive) Note: there are a number of stairs to negotiate, and tall people probably would not be comfortable. Dottie and Dave - thanks for being the perfect host and hostess!

We had such a beautiful week on the lake. One rainy day we hit the outlets for some shopping. This is a great spot. Close to everything, fantastic Local Eatery in lacuna juts up the road, hiking all around. There is sand bar very close which means when the boats go by, they are slow and quiet. We spent a lot of time floating on the lake, thanks to the folates provided by Dottie. Afternoons relaxing in the sun or shade in the yard. Very kind hosts, we found some fresh veggies from the garden and some homemade cookies on our doorstep. Doesn't get much better than this beautiful peacful spot. The photos did a great job, you get what you see.

This is a well-kept "garden-level" mother-in-law apartment (with a separate entrance) in a house in a residential neighborhood; the owners live upstairs. The owners are extremely nice, and we enjoyed our stay, but there are a few things travelers may want to note: 1. The ceiling for most of it is around 75", and the lintel on the way to the bedroom is below 72". 2. The view of the lake is as shown, and we had full use of the dock and also a canoe or two kayaks. But the lake is very shallow (just off the dock it's maybe 2' deep; I saw people standing at waist-level about halfway across the lake) and it's muddy on the bottom. I didn't find swimming to be practical, at least not near the dock. Maybe if you take a canoe out into a deeper part and swim off the canoe. 3. The owners are extremely nice and don't intrude, and the guests certainly have plenty of privacy *within* the apartment, but bear in mind that it is a mother-in-law apartment in a residential house. We used it as a base for a hike in the White Mountains about an hour away. (We didn't get a chance to paddle because it rained on our second day.) There's a decent Mexican restaurant in town which they can direct you to, but most of the restaurants in the area are not distinguished, so we saved money by buying groceries and cooking most of our meals (we stayed two nights).

My husband and I loved our getaway to Lake Winisquam and this apartment was perfect. Tidy, well cared for and well equipped. The apartment has lots of homey touches. The views from the apartment and the dock were great. Swimming was wonderful as was paddling around in kayaks. Our hosts were very friendly and whenever we had a question, they were so helpful and we also had sufficient privacy. Next year we look forward to coming back and staying longer!
