The cabin is always great. We love going into Bryson City and riding the train, hiking to the waterfall’s and the road to nowhere. It’s also close to NOC where we go rafting. We always enjoy our stay. The owners are easy to dealing with.

The hosts were fantastic and the property and location were perfect! Close to attractions and area restaurants! Contact with the hosts was minimal, that being said, everything the Vrbo is spot on and upon arrival was even better than the post! The home was extremely comfortable and well appointed. You could feel the passion the hosts have taken! We were 4 adults up for the Labor Day weekend to take a Great Smoky Mountains Railroad tour and also go whitewater rafting (bucket list). We all hated to leave but with that said we wanted to return next year! I really don’t have anything negative at all. The gang enjoyed the fun filled weekend in Bryson City. Loved this cabin! Super clean, 3 bedrooms, all with queen beds, hot tub and fire pit. And secluded in the woods yet just 5 min to an Ingles grocery store. Would stay here again.

Great property! The entire process was very easy from contacting the owner the very first time, to getting instructions for access, to staying/checking out. My disappointment was not having ground-floor access for my mom, but that's entirely my fault for looking at too many options and getting them mixed up. As is, she was able to get up the steps with relative ease and was even comforted to be safe from any unwanted bears (I don't think there are many bears around). So the 2nd floor is the "ground" floor and it's immaculate. Plenty of space for watching TV together, cooking, and eating. I rarely ventured to the third floor but there was room for 3-4 people to sleep with their own bathroom. The main bedroom on the 2nd floor is big and comes with a lovely full bath. Out in the main space there is a half bath. Worked out very well for a party of five. Place is a little frightening when arriving for the first time after dark...that's the rural aspect. But that's part of the charm of the place. Turned out to be a very lovely property and I'm glad we were able to call it home for four nights.

Pro: Quiet, peaceful, beautiful home, richly appointed, nice master bathroom, great hot tub/outdoor facilities including ceiling fans on the deck, great A/C, comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen Cons: 17 steps up to front door, very difficult for hauling luggage and for those who have mobility limitations, gravel road to home best described as narrow, rutted single track. (recommend high ground clearance vehicle - hope no one is coming from opposite direction), no TV in bedrooms, Not 3 bathrooms, really two and a powder room - second floor guests must share upstairs bathroom

The cabin is perfectly located. It is secluded, yet a short drive from beautiful hiking trails and downtown Bryson. It is just as pictured: nicely decorated, very clean, well stocked,, and comfortable with lots of outdoor seating on the wrap around porch to relax and take in the views and fresh air. We couldn't be happier with our stay.

This home had so many special touches. The decor was very cabin like and it had amazing lights around the property that kept the property lit at night. A night light in every room, hand soap pumps at every sink, fire wood enough for our first fire, wonderfully comfortable beds and cushy toilet paper! The only improvement I would suggest is to have wildlife on contract so they would make an appearance when I stood on the porch looking for them!!!!

Sunset Ridge was a great property!! Loved the cabin and the owners are very easy to talk to!!! Would definitely recommend!

Our family loved every piece of the house, especially the front desk. My kids practiced violin in the morning on the deck, staying so close to nature. I loved to sit on the swing to enjoy the quiescent surroundings, wishing time could freeze at that moment. It takes about half an hour from the house to the Great Smokey Mountain. The location is quite convenient. The house has everything we need and well decorated. The only issue was that we only got two tiny bottles of shampoo for a group of 5 people staying for a whole week. Also, the upstairs bathroom ran out of hand soap. Everything else was good.

Our family had a wonderful time at Sunset Ridge. The house was clean and it had plenty of space for our family of 4. The homeowner was quick to respond to a concern that we had. We would definitely stay again if we are ever in the Bryson City area again!

We could not have asked for a better experience on our first trip to the Smoky Mountains! The cabin is beautiful and in a great location (the pictures in the listing truly don’t capture how amazing it is here!) Sitting on the front porch with my morning coffee, overlooking the mountains and listening to the birds was pure relaxation. You can easily access the National Park, and if you want to venture into Gatlinburg for the afternoon, it’s a gorgeous drive (only slightly over 1 hour). We hope to return again sometime!

This was our fourth visit to Sunset Ridge which has several unique features. The cabin has always been super clean upon arrival and is convenient to a grocery store. It’s close to Bryson City but tucked away in a secluded cove. We especially enjoy the well appointed and comfortable open floor plan, hanging out on the front porch which has great views of the mountains and the fire pit area which has a charcoal bbq. We love staying in this cabin!

This was unlike any vacation I've ever had. It was so peaceful. The cabin was beautiful. We made the drive to Gatlinburg which was INCREDIBLE.

This property was great for what we were looking for. It was close enough to go to town and secluded enough to enjoy the cozy cabin. We was hoping to be on top of the mountain but this place sits kind of in the middle. The only suggestion I would make is more comfortable seating around the fire pit. I would suggest to take a chainsaw. There were so many trees that we could have used for fire wood. Of course the were already down. I definitely would not being against staying at this location again.

The cabin was beautiful and the views were spectacular! The wifi was a little slow sometimes but no big deal when there is plenty to see and do. It was a cute home feeling cabin. May be renting it again next year during summer so we can try ehite water rafting and tubing.. Thanks for everything

We loved our stay at Sunset Ridge. The living room was cozy, and we spent a lot of time on the porch. We brought several things from our kitchen that we didn’t need because it was well stocked. The cabin was secluded but close to everything we wanted. We liked Bryson city and would return. It’s a great place

We enjoyed our time at the sunset ridge cabin. This cabin is 7-10 minutes from downtown Bryson city and very convenient to town and other attractions. The sunset views make this a special place to stay.

Sunset Ridge was just what we were looking for. The property was secluded yet close enough to the park & Bryson City. We enjoyed being able to access the quieter part of the GSMNP & found lots of hiking trails, waterfalls & sites to explore. The space was perfect for our family & we enjoyed relaxing on the porch. The property was clean and well maintained. We hope to return in the future.

I have nothing but good things to say about our visit! The cabin is so beautiful with breathtaking views. We enjoyed the hot tub and making s’mores by the fire. We tubed on Deep Creek, rode the train through the mountains and rafted in the Nantahala River. We didn’t want to leave!

The cabin and property are even better than the photographs on the web site. Very clean, well kept and beautiful. We especially enjoyed the wrap around porches and the fire pit/grill area.
