This house worked great for our family and had everything we needed. It was very clean which we appreciated. The owners were helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. We also enjoyed the activities like Bingo organized by the Chalker Beach association. It is about a ten minute walk to the beach but you can park in a lot across from the beach once you get the temporary parking permit which makes it easy to bring your stuff there.

Felt right at home. Very comfortable. Enjoyable week! Vrbo failed to confirm my reservation with the owner. I had difficulty gaining access upon check-in. The gracious owner resolved the issue quickly.

This cottage was a very quaint cottage. Very well maintained and clean. Had all the amenities that you would need on vacation. Our family enjoyed our time there very much. The beach was fantastic. This is my second time renting this home. The house is very clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Ann Marie is available if necessary and is a delight. Once you arrive it feels like home away from home. Love it.

This is our second summer spending a week in this beautiful cottage while visiting family in Old Saybrook. The cottage is clean and well-stocked, with plenty of room for us and our 2 teenage boys. They liked walking to the beach and Chalker Beach store. We enjoyed a Father’s Day cookout with the grill and lovely screened-in outdoor dining area.

I enjoyed my stay very much. Everything was great. No complaints. My only objection was the large amount of commercial traffic going by, mainly due I believe, to the construction of two houses down the street.

The accommodations were excellent. A clean and unique property close to Chalker beach. The owners couldn’t be more attentive to the every need of the renter. A welcome basket and golf cart shuttle ride of the area made it even more special. Thank you AnneMarie and Wayne! Hopefully we can return next year.

We loved staying at this adorable cottage. Our kids loved the outdoor shower and all the wonderful little touches that Ann Marie goes out of her way to do for her guests. Highly recommend!

The minute I walked through the door I felt relaxed. The home is super cute. Well maintained and clean. Fully equipped. A welcome basket was waiting upon arrival. Front porch was awesome. We spent a great week at this lovely cottage visiting our family that live in Old Saybrook. The cottage was very comfortable for our family of 4 - our tween boys loved walking to the beach and store on their own, and playing BINGO at the Association building. The cottage had everything we needed, we especially appreciated the screen-enclosed outdoor table in the backyard for eating dinner, and the DVDs and board games for a rainy day. We definitely look forward to coming back to vacation here again next summer.

This was our first family trip post pandemic. I’m a single mama traveling by car from Illinois with my kiddos (19, 16, 8) and this place was perfect for all of us! Chalker Beach at the end of the road was cute (although Harvey’s Beach was my youngest’s fav) and we were a quick carride from Niantic, Mystic (Aquarium and Seaport), Watch Hill, Haddam (Gillette Castle), Hartford (CT Science Center) and even Deerfield (Yankee Candle Village). So many places to visit - we needed more time! Ann Marie was responsive and kind. The place had fresh flowers and a welcome basket. She also personally drove to the house to pass along an old friend’s contact info who reached out to her and we were able to connect after almost 3 decades. The only disappointment with our stay was that it couldn’t be longer.

We had a wonderful week. This is the first time my family was able to get together since COVID. The cottage was very comfortable and Ann Marie was warm and welcoming. She responded immediately to all my questions. I hope we can stay here again in the near future.

The property was a perfect beach getaway. Clean and plenty of space even with 5 of us staying in the house. It was only a short walk to Chalker beach which was a lot of fun. Owner was very friendly and responsive. We had a great time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Old Saybrook. The cottage was perfect for us, the private beach was cozy, and when we wanted big waves, we took a road trip to RI. We also visited Mystic for a fun day. Ann Marie was easily accessible and the welcome basket was devoured by day 2.

Anne Marie’s house is so comfortable! Just about anything you need is there and if it isn’t she’ll help you get it! We needed a lobster cracker and her husband brought one to us. The outdoor shower is a treat as is the outdoor space which allowed for ample play for my kids and a covered dining area. The grill was also perfect. It’s rare that we’ve found a rental house for our family that suits our needs so perfectly. Also the selection of movies, kids (and adult!) books and games was a great surprise. My older son’s new favorite book is one he discovered at the house! And of course Chalker Beach itself was awesome and every day we could easily bike or walk there with all our gear and kids in tow. And the playground and clubhouse was right around the corner. Can’t wait to rerun!

This is our second stay at the cottage and once again it did not disappoint. The attention to detail and thoughtful welcome basket and flowers also included some beach toys for our little one. Very clean and only a short walk to the beach. The front porch is perfect for early morning reading and coffee while the gazebo in back provides protection from mosquitoes at night. The owners are so kind-hearted and you will feel like you're home the second you walk through the door. I cannot say enough good things and we look forward to another stay.

Very clean and welcoming, you realize right when you walk inside....and if you have forgotten something, before you run to the store, check the cabinets...it maybe there as it was for us, just when you need 1 tablespoon of that forgotten ingredient! Ann has it covered as she does with any questions or concerns.....very nice experience being the 1st time renting a vacation home. Hope to go back.

After the recent passing of my husband our family was looking for a getaway to all be together. This cottage was by far the best one I have ever rented. We enjoyed our stay very much and didn"t want our week to end. Hopefully, if Ann Marie will have us, we will be back next year!
