Great views and peaceful setting.

House is spacious and can accommodate an extended family gathering. Bedrooms were large, with adequate amenities. Overall, the house is old but fits in with the mountain home vibes. There are windows in every room that maximize opportunity for mountain views. House has been furnished thoughtfully, kids really loved the table and library in the upstairs sunroom. The game room was also a HIT! It has arcade games, ping pong, foosball, and a PIANO! The only issue with the house was the cleanliness, or lack thereof. The house was tidy but DIRTY! The fans in the bedrooms had half an inch of dust built up, also dust trapped in the exhausts in the bathrooms, there were hair on the bathroom floor upon our arrival, the main floor was so dirty that my son's feet were black with dirt with just 5 minutes of walking on them. They need to fire their current cleaner and get a new one. I would have given 5 stars if the property was clean. A hefty cleaning fee is charged for NO cleaning.

Perfect for our Christmas holiday for our 3 generational family of 13, ages 10-70. VERY spacious! 3 fridge/freezers. Huge rec room with large wet bar, ping pong, foosball, arcade games, and other micellany. Yard large enough for family touch football.

For a Christmas gift, I took my 4 daughters and their families to NC snow tubing. The space was perfect! It was easy to get to, had everything we needed and had so much space for everyone to spread out. I would recommend this for a family location - it was easy to be there and the views are remarkable!!

We had the best time gathering at this property. Everything was clean, the property manager was within a phone call away and answered promptly. We had plenty of room for all of us.

This house one of the most incredible views!! We loved the front yard and just soaking in the view. We also did some great stargazing in the night.
The house does have quite a lot of bugs inside and outside. They are a couple neighborhood dogs that were a bit of a nuisance. One came up to us at the fire pit both nights startling the group. They also kept the whole house up barking and howling all through the night. I had to use earplugs the second night. The kitchen could be better stocked. The mother in law suite had no cookware, and we couldn't find a sheet pan in the entire house.
Overall it suited our needs for a couple nights.

This home has everything a large group could need. Kitchen, dining, outdoor area, games- the property contributed to a fantastic reunion! Accommodations were very clean, and beds were comfortable. The Owners have very thoughtfully prepared for their guests- and the view is otherworldly! Hope to be back!

Great house for our large group!
We rented this house for a wedding in Leicester. The directions from the owner were specific and helpful when arriving on Friday. The driveway is a bit steep and is gravel so make sure your vehicle can make it up. We had 10 adults at the house, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed breakfast on the front porch and evenings in the game room. The owners provided lots of details for where to find/how to operate things in the home, which was helpful.

GREAT HOUSE FOR FAMILY!
First time we have all been all to get together since covid and this house was the perfect place for us to all finally get together! Everything we could need was there and the space for a family from 3 years old- 71 years old was perfect. The owner was in touch and easy to work with! Vacation House
To start, my family and I had an AMAZING trip. We were able to get our giant group together and spend some quality time with each other, without feeling like we were on top of each other. Overall we had a really wonderful stay. There were a few things that we were not expecting. Firstly the driveway is WILD. I really think the owners would benefit from paving it. It is treacherous to walk or drive up/down. All of us made it up and down safely every time we had to leave, but a few frights were involved in it. This would definitely not stop me from staying here again, just be prepared. The only other fault I see in this house is the cleanliness is not great. It's not disgusting, but we found old hamburger buns in the oven and some other leftover food in the toaster. Also, the shower/tub in the master bathroom is not very clean. Overall though. my whole group was very comfortable and had a great experience all together. There was plenty to do and plenty of space to hang out. The fire pit outside was a hit and the view in the morning was stunning. Thank you so much to the host for being so responsive and making our stay easy and enjoyable. :)

Great Family Outpost
We hosted a surprise 70th birthday party with extended family. This was a perfect retreat for that. Plenty of space for everyone to stay comfortably, great kitchen and living space, and the game room was a hit with both kids and adults. If you are expecting fancy, this may not be your place, but if you are looking for incredible views, wide open entertaining, and reasonable access to Asheville and the Biltmore, this is a perfect escape. Host was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Thanks again.

We rented this property for a total of 4 couples and 2 singles, all adults. There were some really great features and some disappointments. The house is huge with lots of bedrooms and very comfortable beds. The porches are huge and covered, which was great because it rained most of our time there...but we were able to play cornhole and other games outside while sheltered from the rain. The views are beautiful and the backyard is flat and spacious for outdoor games, plenty large enough for games like wiffle ball with teams. The kitchen and rooms are huge, as is the dining table. The house was not very clean, seemed like the cleaners do a quick surface clean and miss areas. If you desire a very clean rental, you may be disappointed. The hot water did not work and it took a maintenance person 3 visits to finally figure out all of the problems. The house is old with quirky plumbing, so it probably takes awhile to fix some issues. The house decor is dated. The game room has a ping pong table that is warped - fine for social games, but not for avid ping pong players.The owners were VERY responsive to our calls and getting things fixed. We would have preferred that the issues were taken care of prior to our arrival. We appreciated their refund of a portion of our cleaning fee to compensate for the cleaning and hot water inconveniences.The pictures looked better than the actual place. Net is that if you are going with a group and you are more interested in a gathering place than a top condition rental, you will enjoy what this place has to offer.

Uncomfortably Dirty and Neglected
This house is in a great location with a great view. The positives stop there. The house was dirty beyond any possible way of explanation. Dirty sheets, dirty counter, dirty walls, dirty doors, dirty furniture. Broken cabinets, broken ping pong table, broken faucets, hot water is on a daily timer, spiders everywhere! We ended up throwing away all socks due to being ruined by the floors. We washed everything we packed, in doing so, we realized two wolf spiders climbed in our suitcase!!! Master Shower very dirty. If I owned the place I would be embarrassed.

Family celebration
We had a wonderful time in this big home, the property is amazing. The view alone is just awesome. Robert and Gabriela are easy to work with and very gracious.
We should have brought some lawn games because the property is just inviting to play outside. But you could also play ping pong inside in the big game and bar room . We made a fire in the fire pit and made s’mores.

We rented this house for our family for our wedding weekend. The house is huge with plenty of bedrooms (privacy) for individual guests. The kitchen is perfect for gathering.
Upon check-in there were several dead bugs in windowsills and along floorboards; cobwebs and dust on fans. House needs a deep clean. Furniture is adequate, but very dated. House needs painting and general refresh.
Overall. We enjoyed our experience (we were not actually at the house much).

A perfect retreat
An excellent property for a small group to rent for a very peaceful and spacious get away. 4-Wheel drive would be a bonus for getting up the final stretch of gravel road to the house, but besides that everything was amazing with beautiful views, excellent kitchen and entertainment space, and absolute silence away from everything yet close enough to get to Asheville to explore the town.

Accommodating Home with Exceptional Views
We visited Asheville with a group of friends, but wanted to stay on the outskirts a bit. This Marshall was perfect. Accommodating rooms, clean kitchen, and beautiful (secluded) views from the large yard. We had a wonderful stay and the process went smoothly. Highly recommend the Marshall house.

Very spacious house with a beautiful view driveway is a little difficult so four-wheel drive would be recommended property has a wide variety of furniture and decorations. Great for large gatherings owners were very responsive

Great View and Property
This is a great property for large groups. The kitchen is enormous and there is tons of room to get away. Really nice flat property with tons of usable outdoor space. Porch is amazing with incredible views! The rec room is very big with a ping pong table and tons of windows. We really enjoyed our stay and had every thing we needed. Robert answered my text's and calls very promptly and was very accommodating with our questions and needs. The mattresses were very comfortable and the home was clean. The home is older but has a nice feel. I will say that the gravel drive way is pretty steep. We had three 2 wheel drive SUV's (Buick Enclave, Honda Pilot, and a Toyota Sequoia). We had no problem with the driveway, but just wanted to throw it out there in case someone was going to take a 7 series BMW up there. Might be okay but I'd check with Robert. Would definitely stay there again if we have a large group.

Great place for our family get together
Family members flew in from several states to enjoy the area and support our daughter who lives nearby. The house was perfect in size for our needs and we greatly enjoyed staying there for several days. The house does need some updating and several things are in need of repair. When contacting Robert and Gabriela about some of the pressing issues, they did try hard to accommodate us and make us comfortable which we greatly appreciated.

Perfect gathering place for friends and family.
Robert and Gabriela bent over backwards to make our family reunion as enjoyable as possible. Their home is absolutely perfect for a large family get together or group of friends who want to get away from it all. Lots of rooms of various sizes, and several different spaces where you can either sit quietly and chat or play games as a large group. The views are fabulous, and a large group of turkeys waddled across the back lawn a couple of times, so you definitely feel close to nature! We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great place
I really enjoyed our stay at the house. It accommodated everyone. The yard was beautiful. The problem I did have was the cleaning should have been better. The refrigerator has evidently according to reviews been broken since April in the kitchen so we had to use the one in the game room. We were told someone was coming to fix it but that never happened. All in all it’s a great spot.

Good for a group, or only two
I first saw Hot Springs while thru hiking the Appalachian Trail. It was the town that time forgot. Last week there was a 40-year reunion for many of the people I met and hiked with. Most gathered in Hot Springs which is an easy drive from this house. My wife and I decided to stay where we had a view and some privacy. Over the weekend we invited many of the folks up for a visit. They agreed it would be a great place to hold a future gathering. But it was also great for just the two of us. This place is never a disappointment.

HUGE, quirky, off-the-beaten-path place!
My title says it all. This is a great place for a family reunion or large group. Make sure to bring what you need as nearest store is 20-25 minutes away. Wonderful getaway with great wifi. Lots of space for yard play.
