The location is good and the kitchen is well equipped

There was mold on the curtains in the bedrooms and the entire apartment smelled like mold. There were little bugs on the double bed, coming out of the bedframe, while beds also had other peoples hair on them. We requested a new apartment or a refund but staff only agreed to clean the apartment again...

The location is fab, right next to the beach with a couple of bars close by. We enjoyed the short walk into town every evening.

The bed was a bit soggy in the middle. The apartment would benefit from air con or ceiling fans in each room.

The location, although be prepared for a bit of a walk into the town. The Sunset bar next door does good cocktails and the Sahara bar a bit further down the beach has nice food.

The pictures of the apartment suggest that you can see the beach and the pool - you absolutely cannot see either. The property managers have a second apartment on the top floor and the pictures are taken from that viewpoint. The outside space is disappointing with nothing other than table & chairs. If you want a lounger then you need to be at the pool. It would not be a great place to be staying if we had children because there is nowhere for them outside the property other than the pool which is not within sight of the accommodation. The pool has a notice up saying that it’s closed, however the maintenance guy said it was safe to use (which we did). There are cockroaches in the apartment - I am a regular traveler to the Canaries and appreciate that there will be roaches, but not actually inside the apartment AND IN THE BED. We ended up buying cans of spray, blocking all sinks and the shower drain and sleeping with lights on just to be sure that they weren’t getting in. A massive disappointment considering what the apartment cost, which brings me to the cost - the price paid through Booking.com is significantly more than if booking directly with the property management company, which was a shock. We could have had the top floor apartment, with terrace & views for the price we paid for this ground floor, decidedly dark apartment with no direct sunlight if we had booked direct. That’s definitely on us though, but lesson learned, do more research. The mattress wasn’t comfortable, as other reviewers have also said, in my opinion it’s the cheapest memory foam that IKEA sell and it’s quite hard. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper provided, and this was only replenished with 1 extra roll after the weekly clean. If they could resolve the cockroach problem and be more honest with the pictures, particularly giving an honest impression of the outside space, then my review would have been much better.
