Fantastic property on a great location. Short walk to Blue Cave or centre of Anacapri. Owners are very friendly and helpful. They also have a special website for guests with excellent tips & tricks. My wife and I travel a lot an mostly stay in nice hotels. This property matches (or exceeds) a 5 star hotel in all aspects.

Beautiful property overlooking the sea. Just far enough from the commotion to be peaceful but close enough to walk or take the bus into the Anacapri center. If your ferry arrives in the afternoon, they can provide pickup which makes the day so much easier. The owners are around all the time and run everything. They make breakfast to order each day, the pool is the perfect spot for relaxing. I cannot say enough good things about this place! I live in Naples and have been to Capri multiple times, but this is the best place I’ve stayed.

The stuff is very helpful and go out of their way to give the best service. Most of the staff are family/owners, and you can tell they are there to provide the best service. The location was a bit away from town, but the bus stop and taxis are easy to come by. Also, there is an excellent restaurant with a priceless sunset view walking distance from the hotel. Overall, the best nights we had in Italy. 10 out of 10.

This property offers it ALL. Private, well equipped rooms with ensuites, balconies and direct pool access. Small amount of people staying at the hotel - about 4 couples when we were there.
The 3 staff their made it their absolute mission to make our stay THE most comfortable, but the property did so anyway - so their incredible attention to detail was a bonus.
Breakfast daily is handmade, bespoke and local-level quality. Great coffee and fresh juices, chia puddings, eggs and tomatoes w/bacon….
In the afternoon - Aperols by the pool, bruschetta and olives, vino Bianco by the litre - this place is heaven.
Quite literally the best valued hotel I’ve ever stayed in, ever. Cannot overstate the quality enough.

Words fail to adequately describe the perfection of my stay at this hotel. It was genuinely a slice of paradise on earth. Not only was the room of unmatched comfort, but the view from the windows of the room was simply breathtaking - a gorgeous pool and the splendor of the sea on the same view.
From the moment we arrived at the bus stop, we were warmly welcomed by one of the hotel's three managers. They not only ensured our transportation to the hotel, but also took the time to transport us to our next destination. Their generosity and commitment to our comfort added a truly personal touch that made our stay even more special.
The room was simply divine. The soothing ambiance created by the careful decoration, impeccable cleanliness, and comforting smell immediately made us feel at ease. Every detail was designed to provide us with the utmost comfort and make us feel at home.
As for the proposed itinerary, it was perfectly suited to our length of stay and our budget. It was a real pleasure to discover the places recommended by the managers, who demonstrated exceptional local knowledge.
The highlight of each day was undoubtedly the customized breakfast. It was prepared according to our wishes and we were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food offered. Every bite was a delight, getting our day off to a great start.
In summary, this hotel is a hidden gem that exceeded all our expectations. The managers truly care about the details, and their dedication to making our stay enjoyable was evident at every moment. If you're looking for an extraordinary hotel experience, look no further. I highly recommend this hotel and I can't wait to return for another perfect stay. A 10/10 isn't enough to express the perfection of this experience, it was simply sublime.

Everything. Il Carrubo is perfection. From the moment you go through the gates from the road and walk down the driveway you feel like you are taken into a beautiful peaceful oasis. The owners and managers are so kind, friendly and helpful, the pool is divine (we were often the only ones there, and they’ll bring you drinks and snacks if you ask), it is away from the madness of the main area, and a lovely spot to watch the sunset. The breakfast and the coffee was amazing, and the lunch - omg we are still dreaming about the lemon pasta and espresso (best coffee in our lives!). The kitchen isn’t open late but that is fine as Anacapri isn’t far. We hired a scooter which made it easy to get around the island. Everything was outstanding, it is honestly Anacapri’s best kept secret, we cannot wait to return.

We absolutely loved the stay. Super serene, cosy, away from the crowds. Incredibly attentive owners, who are very invested into making the stay unforgettable, very welcoming, fixers. The food is awesome, breakfasts are so hearty and filling. The property is very tasteful, beautiful pool and clean well-designed rooms. Will come back 100%. In my opinion best money for value if you want to go to Capri without staying in the actual city. Felt like we were staying at our old friends thanks to the attention and personal touches.

If paradise had a name it would be called Il Carrubo! I'm lacking words to describe the beauty and vibration of this place... The grounds are amazing and the pool area is oh so beautiful with stunning views. 6 bedrooms nested in a beautifully secluded place with a bus stop right in front of the property. The breakfast is simply AMAZING... This pearl is managed by Corino, Alicia and Michele who are the best hosts I've ever had... Thank you for who you are, what you do and how you make your guests feel. Il Carrubo is not a hotel it's an experience. Can't wait to be back! ❤️

The hotel is away from Capri day crowd, quiet and relaxed. At the same time you can reach all Capri buzz within 30 min by bus or taxi.
We never expected so many gorgeous hikes available on the island.
Breakfast was very good with fresh squeezed mixed juice different every day. Any style eggs to order. Tasty tomatoes salad as a side dish.
The staff is great. The guys go out and beyond to make your stay special and give a feeling of staying with the family. All their recommendations were perfect.

We had a fabulous 3 night stay at Il Carrubo Capri. Be prepared. This property is relatively remote and located at the far end of the island from the ferry port—close to the famous Blue Grotto (closed due to rough seas during our visit). The owners, Alice and Michele, inherited the property from their grandmother who used it as a holiday home. This is as close to staying in your own private villa as you are likely to find at a reasonable price for Anacapri! The island of Capri is divided into 2 main sections; Capri and Anacapri. If you are looking for calm, quiet and a more authentic experience away from cruise ship passengers and hordes of daytrippers, Anacapri is the way to go. Il Carrubo Capri is located in a beautiful setting with lush gardens and a gorgeous sunset view over the pool area and sea. So peaceful to sip a limoncello spritz while enjoying the pool and sea view and enjoying the sounds of birds. This property is run as a bed and breakfast and the breakfast was delicious! They also offer a limited menu of fantastic homemade pasta dishes for lunch or early dinner upon request. They also offer refreshing cocktails which were greatly appreciated. Alice and Michele could not have been nicer hosts! We felt as though we made new friends. So enjoyable to chat with them and other guests. It made for a very memorable experience. Molto grazie!!
Be aware that you cannot rent a car on Capri/Anacapri. The roads are very narrow and tricky to navigate. Unless you are willing to rent a scooter and take your life in your hands (no exaggeration). you will need to take the small local bus to Anacapri and another bus from Anacapri into Capri Town or take a VERY expensive taxi to and fro. The bus stop is right outside the gate of Il Carrubo Capri, but the bus does not run very frequently. At the time of writing this review, we discovered from a local resident while waiting for the bus that the 9:25 am bus (only once a day) goes all the way into Capri Town without having to change buses in Anacapri. Unfortunately, at night, the return bus runs even less frequently than regular day service (with no direct service from Capri Town), so plan accordingly. Beware that taxi fares at night are outrageous (bad enough during the day). If you understand the bus schedule and can adjust your sightseeing accordingly, you can make this work.

We were in an idyllic, peaceful bubble away from the crowds of the island , while still easily accessible to the sights . A pretty 20min walk in the small back streets to Anacapri or a 15min bus on a spectacular road to Capri.
Michele, Alice and Corino were so lovely and always smiling.
They were welcoming , friendly and attentive to our every need but not intrusive . We felt we were in a lovely family home. They were all working hard to make our stay perfect. Their enthusiasm ,care and love shines through and they are keeping the spirit of the family house alive .
Breakfast was tasty and freshly prepared, fresh fruit , muesli ,yoghurt, eggs , bread ,homemade cake etc just exactly what we like.
We had lunch one day which was also delicious. We should have sampled more .
Our room was beautiful , lovey original tiles and some original old furniture with a big comfortable bed with amazing view from bed . Great shower etc .
Although our weather over our 3 days was changeable it did not take away from this beautiful place and we still managed a swim and relaxing afternoon by the pool sipping limoncello spritzers, which were delicious and the best we had on the island .
We will hopefully return someday.

Il Carrubo provided my wife and I the most beautiful placed we have ever stayed. The views from the room were incredible as well as the view from the pool and garden area. There was a sweet smell in the air from the blooming of the plants. The bed was comfortable and there was daily service of the rooms. I could have actually spent most of time here relaxing, but there were others to do in town. The bus runs just outside the property to get you around town. What we liked most was the service of our hosts. Very exceptional. We felt like family. Their breakfast was excellent, with good and healthy portions. They can also serve Dinner, we did 2 out of our 3 nights there. Very delicious.

Like paradise, everything here was perfect. This is absolutely the best place i have ever been, and i have travelled a lot. An idyllic villa in westhills at Anacapri, with a amazing view, you can see from your room and from terrace, garden, pool the sunset! Every corner is beautifully decorated and clean.
Here your soul will enjoy and rest from towns noice. In the morning you can enjoy birds singing and you go to enjoy your breakfast inthe beautiful garden with amazingly beautiful scene to the sea. This was so beautiful and enjoyable place that we skipped many goings to other places in Capri,because we wanted to enjoy this paradise so much.
Corino, Alice and Michele did their everything all the time to be sure that we enjoyed our time, we have never had this good and warmhearted service, we really were all the time so happy about that too. And so good cookers!! The breakfast, they do and serve it to you individually..it was amazing!!!
Also we ate many times their foods inthe evening, we loved their pasta and bruchetta <3

Busstop to Anacapri is Right Behind the gate of this villa and it drives you in 5minutes to Anacapri, which is beautiful old town, we liked it much more than Capri.. for example the way to Axel Munthes villa San Michele was really wort of it, we really recommen visiting villa San Micheles Garden.
From Anacapri goes busses to Capri every 10minutes and the bustrip is very nice and beautiful.
Room was wonderful, very clean and beautiful decoration, amazing scene from the window, sunset!! Pillow and mattress were both very very comfortable!
This place is in one word: PERFECT

The staff, actually the family in charge, was very, very friendly. Every Question, Problem, Wish was immediately solved. The breakfast was very good and diverse. You have an amazing view towards sea. It has also a nice outdoor swimming pool with a splendide view.

Alice, Corino and Michele do a famous job in order to give you the feeling of being warmly welcome. If you ask them for help or service, they will do everything in order to fulfill your wishes.
The location ist perfectly situated with a splendid view over the sea and the coast and pine trees. Perfect for a sundowner by the pool, the sunset is magnificent.
The rooms are tastefully furnished and comfortable, the property arranged in a very charming manner. It’s the perfect place if You look for peace and calmness.

Il Carrubo is a very special place in a quiet part of the island, away from the tourists. It's perfect if you want a relaxing break, enjoying nature and the sun. It is about 25 minute walk from Anacapri. Also nearby The Old Walk of the Forts which was a beautiful hike. The staff is a super friendly Italian family! Breakfast was served under the pergola, looking out over the sea! Just stunning. The food is really fresh and tasty. Fresh juices, coffees, teas, eggs any style you like and fruit and cake! All delicious.

This place is a GEM! It exceeded all my expectations (and my expectations were already high, after reading all reviews prior to booking). Not only is the place gorgeous and beautifully located in Anacapri, the family that runs it is so accommodating, they helped us plan our days and bookings, with great knowledge of the island. Last but not least - breakfast is to die for and if you're ever hungry during the day they'll quickly cook you a pasta and offers a well thought through wine list.

From the moment you step on the grounds, the staff is there to support your every need. The views from the pool are breathtaking. Breakfast is served daily and you won't want to miss it. From fresh-baked cakes to delectably mastered eggs and toast, the Carrubo staff does everything right during the complimentary daily breakfast.
If you need to unwind and want to decompress by a pool, I recommend you book this place. The quiet air is filled with aromas from the fresh flowers all around the beautiful property. A short walk to a great beach along a pedestrian path allows you the opportunity to choose between relaxing next to a pool all day or the gorgeous blue waters of Gradola beach.
There are pedestrian pathways that take you directly to Anacapri and Gradola beach, a beautiful 12-minute walk to each on a carless path that is dotted with flowers and beautiful private villas.
Lunch is offered from 12 pm to 7 pm daily at the hotel. The food is made fresh by an in-house chef that knows his way around the kitchen. The Limon pasta dish is world-class. The hotel also offers full coffee service, wine, champagne, a full bar, and snacks to pair with your beverages while you lounge by the pool.
If room service is more your thing, all you have to do is send a message to the front desk and a friendly staff member will deliver food and drink to your room. I recommend ordering a cappuccino in the morning, the coffee is so flavorful and rich.
Now, to the rooms. WOW! The rooms are decorated beautifully. The mattresses are very comfortable and every room has powerful air conditioning units, and the maid service ensures your room is spotless. At night the villa is so quiet and peaceful.
This is by far the best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed in.

Beautiful, peaceful stay in a primo location, off the beaten path, but convenient to everything. Michele, Alice & Corino were exceptional hosts, and they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Breakfast was such a treat, and Alice's cakes..mama mia! Grazie mille for everything!

II Carrubo Capri is located on arguably the single most picturesque side of Capri where unobstructed sunsets are unrivaled.
The family did a phenomenal job of converting this 1950’s property into a 6-unit hotel that both maintains a perfect balance of the original charm mixed with modern luxury.
The rooms have 20ft ceilings and direct ocean views from the comfort of luxury beds. The pool is fantastic and the location feels secluded yet is close to town.
One of Capri’s top attractions is the Blue Grotto which is right down the street.
Staying here is an amazing experience you most certainly will never forget!
