Great cottage, very clean, great neighborhood and close to everything. Host had games, puzzles, dress up accessories for kids (we didn’t have any kids with us, but it’s a great idea). Three bicycles to ride, a pass to Hunting Island and other state parks. Beds were very comfortable. I love a ceiling fan to sleep under, it has that. I would love to stay there again. I would also give it higher than five stars if I could.

Wonderful cottage in beautiful Beaufort. The Hunting Island state park was a big plus, we used it a couple of days to relax at the beach after some non stop sightseeing the week before. Check-in was an absolute breeze and the entire place was clean and beautifully presented, beds were super comfortable and soft!

We absolutely loved the cottage and the peace and beauty it afforded to us. It felt like a little slice of heaven to us after coming from our home which is outside of Atlanta and after being stuck in traffic for a long time.
The cottage was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. It was also situated in a great location. We really appreciated the thoughtful amenities such as the Hunting State Park pass which we used more than once.
Our stay was not long enough but we will absolutely return and stay for a longer time.

Our second visit to Beaufort, we love this little town. Location was great, neighborhood quiet and rental was fine , had everything we needed . Pass to Hunting Island was wonderful. The only thing that was a slight disappointment was the beds are a bit too soft , firmer mattresses would make it perfect.
But would stay again .

We stayed for almost 5 weeks, my wife and I are considering buying a home in the area. We loved Beaufort and the cottage was great. Everything you need for a short or long stay. Neighbors were very nice and it's very close to downtown Beaufort. Also 10 min to Port Royal which is a cute town with some nice restaurants and a great brewery.

We enjoyed the coziness and the cleanliness of this home. They had great details like the lights on as we arrived in the dark and music playing ❤️ We enjoyed playing the board games and using the park pass. We also loved the town!

We have stayed at the cottage in the past and it was once again great. We had everything we needed (to be fair...we didn't cook). Clean, comfortable bed and linens. Plenty of space for our things. Not too much "clutter decor", Still could probably pull a few things (hate fake plants). But, still a wonderful place to stay! Thanks again.

Clean and bright. Thoughtfully stocked, with three bikes available for use. Property Manager very responsive. Thank you as he had to reset code to retrieve some shoes. Walkable and quiet neighborhood. Loved Beaufort and our stay - just needed to be longer.

The house was a great location for getting to the Depot quickly for early morning entry. Loved the proximity to lovely downtown Beaufort. The house suited our needs fine. Not a lot of extras we have become used to in other VRBO’s ( foil, baggies, wine glasses, dishwasher, just to name the ones that pop to mind) but none the less a happy place to rest our heads.

This house was a perfect getaway with all the amenities of home. Super close and easy to all the area sites and restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect for night time walks. It’s very well decorated and comfortable and the hosts were very helpful and communicative. Will certainly entertain coming back to this or one of their other properties.

The house was great in a very convenient location. It would be helpful if you added some hooks in the bathroom, bedrooms and hall to hang towels, jackets, hats etc. And the small bedroom with no furniture needs A LOT of hangers in the closet since there is no dresser or place to store clothes.

We went to join family in attending our step-grandson's graduation from the Marine Corp Basic Training. The location was only about 15 minutes away from the base. The neighborhood was clean and well maintained as was the property. We arrived after dark on a rainy night and the front porch light being on and the paved driveway and wide walk way were a welcome site.

My sister and I spent a few days here while exploring the Beaufort area. The cottage was spotless, well maintained and had everything we needed. The location was very convenient to downtown and very close to The Spanish Moss Trail. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to the area .

The cottage was the right size for us. Great location too.
One recommendation is to have a coat rack or hooks for coats as we were there during a rainstorm and cooler weather. No where to hang our coats. Also a shoe mat for wet shoes would be nice too.

We stayed during my son's graduation from Parris Island. The home was perfect for us and our quick trip. We spent most of our time on base but this was a quick drive to rest (about 10 minutes from base). We were worried we would having a moving truck during our visit and they were accommodating and very responsive. It was a quiet town with some really cute shops and restaurants.

We had a great time in Beaufort! Our daughter lives right across the street from this property so it was perfect for us. The little cottage was clean, cozy and fun!

My mom who turned 90 in February wanted a weekend of fun with here girls. Beaufort SC was just right for a quick trip. The Metmaid Cottage was the perfect stay. We enjoyed every minute.
