The view (lake side)
The manager was insufferable.
The lady refused to lend us some bikes but insisted we pay for them even though 1) we booked them in advance, 2) the website of the hotel says "Our hotel has 4 city bikes at your disposal, free of charge, for your rides or trips." (https://www.hotelbellerive.ch/en/services/soft-mobility/), 3) the staff promised to honor the offer the day before and 4) the hotel admitted no one else wanted the bikes.
It's OK to make a mistake and cancel an offer, but it's a whole other story to speak ill of subordinates (who did their work perfectly), to lie to customers and waste their time deliberately.
The manager's lies, hypocrisy and passive aggressiveness ruined our morning. In the end, the bikes were atrocious to ride, and poorly maintained.

I got a lake facing room and was pleasantly surprised to open my balcony door on a sunny morning to the beautiful view of the lake.

Excellent location near the lake and center. They kindly upgraded me to a double room on the top floor with a city view and 2 terraces. The room was very spacious and cozy!
Wonderful staff - Thomas at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. The cleaning staff was very kind as well, a lady even helped me turn on the heater since it started to get a bit cold towards the end of my stay. Bonus points for the free city card they provide upon check in, it comes in handy to get around the city.
Parking is convenient, located right behind the building for a reasonable price.
One thing to note is that the bathroom doesn’t have an actual door. No big deal if traveling alone, but something to keep in mind if you’re not traveling with people/someone you’re super close to.

the view from our room over the lake and the small balcony with doors that open on the balcony made it so special. I also like the fact that the rooms feel homely. free parking right at the hotel was also very convenient

The most things I like about the hotel is the view and also the room has a good size and very clean. In general I really enjoyed my time there and for sure I would love to come back again.
At night I did not find anybody at the reception.

For the price of 140 SFR, I expect to have a WIFI that works good. This was not the case, the connection was very slow and disconnected more then 10 times. Every time you have to log-in again. Could not use it for basic stuff. Not ok.
I had an airco, but the guy from the reception did not give the remote, I expected it to be an extra price, but this was not the case, you had to ask...
