Very friendly staff, we can totally recommend staying there. The gentlemen Osiris and Neil were super helpful and even upgraded our room to better accommodate us with our little child without asking. All staff was very friendly and helpful.
It is an older hotel with a specific Charme. But some items need repair, eg. Some lamps or joints of the furniture. Though everything is fine in general, for such an established hotel right at the Bund, it would suit the hotel well to have its small maintenance jobs done soon.

The location is literally on the bund. The front desk staff were very helpful. Special mention to Tails and Sunny. We got the room with the bath and the view. Totally worth it for our last night in China after living there for almost 4 years.
Breakfast was limited. The way they polish the floor in the room means walking across it makes this sqeauky noise which my partner particularly dislikes.

Great location, clean rooms, great views.
We were charged 12% tax on top of the price from booking.com. This is the first time this has happened in all the years we have travelled with booking.com.

The bund views , Art Deco furnitures , friendly and accommodating staff. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Perhaps should allow us to adjust the temperatures on our room. Our room 1202 was very warm at 25 deg and we could not adjust the temperature downwards . We were told by front desk that the engineer had set it to a fixed temperature.

Location and view.
Some staff not confident in English so some information at check in was not conveyed. However others in the restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful.

The suite is great and also the studio rooms are very spacious. The breakfast is just fabulous and the localisation is great. We stayed in this hotels two times already. The quality has dropped since 2015 a bit, but it is still a pleasent experience to stay here even with quiet not very customer-oriented staff at the reception.
The reception staff with very basic level of english and not very welcoming attitude; the kitchen and room staff as well as concierge are much nicer, friendlier and more communicative.
