Location is perfect - very nice view

The Lady at the front desk was very helpful. Awesome service, breakfast is good. Rooms are clean. Location to the start of the Trolltunga trail is about 25min. drive. If off season, need to plan a car, or find a lift to go to the hike :)

Central, clean, easy access.

Basic rooms are old dormitories. They worked for us as we were mainly there to hike. Also, wifi does not reach 3rd floor and should be upgraded to a mesh router to avoid this issue.

Good location right by the river and and overall quite clean. Also great breakfast.

One shared shower and one shared toilet for the whole floor, room was extremely basic and small.

The views from the room were out of this world!!

Room was clean and good. Breakfast was good. We had dinner here which although a bit expensive, was very good. We had booked a shared bathroom which is in older part of hotel.

Desserts were very expensive.

clean and modern hotel. Room was spacious. Convenient parking space. close from Folgefonna national park (5 km to the start of the hiking path to the base of the glacier)

Reception staff was unwelcoming bordering on unpleasant, room had view on the parking, limited equipment (no safe, no minibar, no wardrobe, only one chair to sit) ; far from the village. Village has no charm as this is industrial. All this for an outrageous price.

Location; room with a perfect view on the river. But at the same time the water was very noisy when the window was open.

The bed was absolutely too soft and the room too hot.

The room is clean with good water view. The restaurant is very nice, new, modern and great view. Service is good, people are nice.

The room is very tiny. We have to pay every thing up front. Not at the end of stay. This is different from other hotels.

This is an excellent location for the Trollunga hike. Amazing breakfast breakfast starts at 6:00 so if you are reserving a parking spot for the hike you'll want to make sure it's at least at 6:30 so that you can make the 25 minute drive there and still get breakfast. Are three kids stayed in a room with a bathroom that was extremely nice my husband and I stayed in a separate room that was just too small beds and no bathroom. All were very comfortable and the bathrooms were extremely clean

The price was higher than most places we stayed at in Norway but that could have just been the area

very difficult to reach without a car, buses don’t drive from the village centre after 5 or 6 pm.. and it’s a 30 min walk, not easy with a luggage ..

This hotel is perfectly located to do the Trolltunga hike. The rooms offer a nice view and the breakfast was okay. The drive into the town center is less than 5 minutes and can be easily done on foot as well.

My main complaint is that the rooms are not equipped with blackout curtains. With the sun rising as early as 04:00 during the Norwegian summers, a room as bright as day that early in the morning is devastating for a good night sleep. Most tourists simply aren't used to such day&night cycles. Replacing the curtains doesn't have to be expensive, and I'm convinced that all guests that aren't from the higher regions of the northern hemisphere would enjoy this particular comfort. =) The room was clean, but it could definitely use a facelift. The hotel only offers Wi-Fi in the lobby, so its extremely slow in the rooms (if you get any reception at all). The staff seemed uninterested, almost rude, during out check-in. The senior lady that was running the reception the next day was friendly and professional. So I guess its kind of a 'hit or miss' regarding the staff. This hotel is quite expensive for what you get. During our trip we had -way- better rooms for far less money, even in popular areas. The hotel is clearly a backpackers hotel, which is fine, but not for the price/night they're asking. It was okay for a one-night stay, but we would have preferred another hotel in hindsight.
