Wij vinden sympathie, gevoel van welkom, netheid, ligging, faciliteiten, aanspreekbaarheid, correctheid,....belangrijk als we een verblijf kiezen. Bij hotel Yambu is alles in overvloed aanwezig. Zeer vriendelijk onthaal en verblijf. Fantastisch ontbijt in overvloed. Praktische kamer en zeer netjes. En dan is er hulp voor de grote en kleine dingen. Bv. Waar en hoe krijg ik een nepalese simkaart. Onze trekking (langtang).zeer professioneel ge-organiseerd en onze porter/gids Kiran zorgde op zeer gepaste wijze voor een 100% genieten van onze trekking. Rajz (eigenaar) hotel zorgt dat wij steeds een gevoel van thuiskomen hebben. Gerief kunnen we in het hotel achterlaten. We komen hier gegarandeerd terug. Bedankt voor de luchthaven shuttle! Is een meerwaarde! We kunnen blijven schrijven maar onze positieve ervaring hier is eindeloos en niet te beschrijven..

The breakfast was very good and the staff were all very helpful and accommodating.

The room had everything that I needed- hot water in the shower, great location and super comfortable bed. What made this hotel extra special was the really kind and helpful owner and his staff. Everyone went above and beyond to be helpful and I felt super safe leaving my laptop in the room.

Super hotel, return visitor. All staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. They go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Comfortable room, good breakfast and close to an abundance of Restaurants, cafes and shops. Airport transfer possible for a very reasonable rate too.

Breakfast provided with quality and in sufficient quantity. Location wise the hotel is well connected and just nearer to main road Room is properly cleaned

Only issue is non-availability of any lift facility for this 6th storied building, which causes real trouble for the middle aged and aged persons. It is really surprised for such a well maintained building without any lift system, is being used for commercial purpose in hotel and hospitality management area under service sector.

Facilities available, mosquitoes in the room and not accommodating requests for pick-up from the bus station or drop to the airport.

The staff was very responsive to online messages and they sent a driver to pick us up at the airport. The Hotel is well situated in a quiet area and has nice terraces to rest and take a break from messy Tahmel. It is about 15 minutes walk from Durbar square which is great. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was in general very helpful and kind. Will surely go back on my next visit

Everyone at Hotel Yambu was very kind and helpful! The staff as well as the owner helped with all our questions. We got picked up from the airport and the owner even helped arrange a bus to our next location. The location of the Hotel was great, right in the touristic center of Thamel but still quiet.

Dont go by the pictures or what they have written in their website. The rooms are extremely shady and untidy. Their TV doesn't work and internet doesnt work. And for breakfast they have no options.Eat only bread and omlette. We had a very bad experience.

Good value for the money. Places to eat right next to the hotel.

I booked this hotel because they offer airport pick up and drop off so I thought that would be a good deal. When I walked out of the airport 2 guys were waiting for me with my name on the board and we proceeded to the car. The guy holding the board with my name took my bag, the car was just few metres away, he put my bag inside the car and asked me for tips. Turns out he is not a hotel staff but a porter working around airport. I gave him some tip so he left but I wasn't happy. The driver did not say anything at all when I told him that I thought this guy is helping me with a bag because he is hotel staff as well. Why didn't he ask me if I need a porter when I arrived? Cause I didn't request for a porter. I am the guest and they should check with me first if I want porter service. This is not nice. Not nice to demand tips for service I didn't request and not nice not checking with me. The driver didn't speak good English so he didn't understand exactly why I'm not happy but I told hotel manager about it. I hope they are not doing that to other hotel guests.

Staff was polite, the room was fairly clean and decently equipped. Location is very close to Thamel.

Their airport pickup service did not arrive to pick us up on time, although it was explicitly advertised. We called them, waited 40 mins and then took our own taxi. The road in front of the hotel is horrendous. It has huge potholes filled with water and is broken. We had to haul luggage over our heads to get it in/out.

The location is absolutely a middle point of Thamel. The hotel is very clean and the staffs are very friendly.

The biggest flaw of the hotel is it doesn’t have any hand held shower neither it has any water tap beside the commode. So if you’re muslim this hotel will give you a hell lot of pain. There was no room heater so room was extremely cold at night. I went in end of December so it was very cold.

A good hot shower available in the morning before you check out was a bonus. The property manager was kind enough to drop me at the bus stop pick up point and facilitated the bus ticket bookings as per the timings I wanted. .

Some washrooms don't have a hand faucet and it's better to ask for one if you're used to it. :)

I returned to this hotel because my experience was so good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice rooms, good food.

The TV did not work, and the building is quite old and a bit dated. But it was what you get for the price.
