My family had a wonderful time at this amazing property during July 4th. Very memorable time. Hosts were very helpful and able to reach with any questions. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay and spent time out on the front porch just catching up as we sipped our coffee and planed our days. The location is very convenient for heading out to the north shore and when heading down to the downtown area. Good restaurants and coffee shops are nearby. We had an enjoyable stay. The kids loved the house.

We were all visiting for a family wedding. Played games, cards and saw a beautiful city. Would have been fun to find a Ouija board in the game cupboard.

This home has so much history and charm. We stayed in December and it was decorated ever so great with a traditional holiday vibe. We celebrated our annual family girls and kids getaway 7 adults and 6 littles. The children loved the space to play, make gingerbread cookies, play games and just make many memories. It is a short walk to the lake and we were blessed with unusually warm weather, so it made it possible for a great photo opportunity. This house was described as a scene out of a Hallmark movie by all who joined. The pictures don’t do this gem justice. Highly recommended for anyone with an appreciation for tradition, beauty, and history.

We have stayed here before once and this was our second time here. It was a perfect stay with all the amenities needed to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The house is at a perfect location and the host we good in communication.

We had 2 families for an out-of-town wedding. The house was perfect! The front porch and pool table were put to good use as were the 5 bathrooms for 9 adults getting ready almost simultaneously. Great kitchen and dining area too. The location can’t be beat- central to everything and quiet. Note that the house is not suitable for anyone with restricted mobility- must climb steps to get inside and no bedrooms on the ground level. This is all well described in the listing, but wanted to mention here. Highly recommend!

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! The house was stunning, clean and it was so much fun to walk around and see all the little details.
Gina was a great to work with. She was quick to communicate and answer any random questions we had. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and allowed us a great time!

We had a great stay in Duluth and were blessed with excellent weather. The house is clean and well equipped. The owners continue to update the house which was built in 1895. The dining room easily had enough room for all 12 of us at once which was very nice. The house is well located with a big grocery store just a 2 minute drive. We took day trips to Gooseberry Falls, the Split Rock Lighthouse, the Canal area, Engel Tower, and the aquarium all of which were delightful for our multigenerational family. The owners of the property were easy to reach and responded quickly. If I might make a suggestion, I would have a pack and play in the house available for infants and toddlers. We brought one along. However, I would highly recommend this property to others.

The property was great. However, when they say they provide shampoo and condition, it is little packets, so make sure to bring your own. We also ended up purchasing hand soap for all the bathrooms since the little bars they left us were too small. We loved everything else and had a great time. I definitely recommend this if you are looking for a family get together.

If you are looking for a place that will comfortably house a large group this is it!! This is the first time we had rented a historic home - it was like stepping back in time and quite fun. The pool table was a hit and there are tons of seating and conversations spots throughout the home. The front porch is fantastic - sadly the weather didn't cooperate so we really did not get a chance to use it. Fantastic location as well!!

We stayed here for the holiday weekend and had a wonderful time. The owners had snow cleared and all ready for us to park in the back, so we didn’t have to worry about street parking. The house was clean, warm, and cozy, and the kitchen had all the amenities we needed for multiple large family meals. We enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to anyone.

Our family wanted to be together for our daughter’s 40th birthday and our granddaughter’s 11th birthday! We’ve come to Duluth before with our family. Our grandkids and grown children love it up in Duluth. Especially around Christmas. We enjoy Bentlyville and the decorated Congdon mansion at Christmas time. The home was everything we wanted !!! We loved staying in the old home with all its history and originally!! There was privacy for every family and plenty of togetherness. We loved the old pool table and all the rooms to gather together in. The porch was beautiful, even in the winter, to sit in the sun and be together. We would definitely bring our family back here again! We made some very good memories in this home. Thanks to the owners for sharing this beautiful historic home with us!!!

The English Language is inadequate to fittingly describe the character & wonder of the A. Charles Weiss Home! We are thankful that Gina & Bryan have brought this property back to life & that we get the opportunity to be in it! They are attentive & caring hosts. A group of us came up to enjoy the Northshore Inline Marathon. The conversations just flow in this house as you are surrounded with history. We played pool on a 125+ year old pool table & wondered what we would learn if this table could talk?! All of us thoroughly enjoyed the house & the weekend. This certainly is a special experience. The house has everything you need & the charm of a time gone by. Huge Air High Fives of AWESOME!

Great spot for large family gatherings. We had 13 people for a family wedding and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, large porch to have cocktails and conversations, close to everything. Great communication from the owners before, during and after our stay. Definitely recommend!!

Our whole family stayed in this beautiful historic home. The owner was helpful and we had everything to cook dinner each evening! Loved the billiard room and all the bedrooms and bathrooms! A wonderful adventure! Highly recommend!!

Girlfriend Getaway
Wonderful historical home with plenty of room for 9 women. The kitchen had everything we needed. Lovely front porch to sit on and visit. We enjoyed the stay very much.

Perfect spot for our family group to stay for our son's wedding. Great that every bedroom had it's own bathroom. Made getting ready much easier.

Great place for a group
We had 11 women stay and we were all comfortable. It's an old restored home and plan accordingly. If you're coming in the winter bring some warmer sleeping clothes if it's going to be really cold outside (it was below zero when we were there). Gina was very responsive to my information requests. I wish VRBO would communicate via text rather than email as I don't typically check email while I am on vacation.

Beautiful and Interesting Property
The house is beautiful with many interesting things to look at. The large size worked out perfectly for my extended family for a weekend in Duluth. Great location between the UMD campus and downtown entertainment options. And the private parking in the back of the house was a great perk.

the house is charming and was SO CLEAN!! House is very old, and really cool. Beds were comfy and we all had our own bedrooms and bathrooms!! It was glorious! The owner is great and alway responded quickly. We all had a great time.

Beautiful home, excellent stay!
Our experience at this VRBO was great! You can tell they take pride in the way they maintain their home. This home was plenty large for our big group of 13 which included my family of 5, in laws, mom and brother (3 children and 10 adults from 4 yo+). Check in was a breeze and Gina was quick with communication. We all felt the location was safe, clean and in a close proximity to things we wanted to do. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and other necessities to feed our large family and the owners were gracious enough to have a grill for our use. There is a group living on the third floor, but without seeing their cars or being told through this listing, we wouldn't have even known. We could not hear anyone upstairs and they had their own entrance as stated in the listing. We have already started to plan a future return trip!

Great location and house for large family gathering
We had 14 family members together for our daughter’s wedding in Duluth at Glensheen. This was a perfect location for that, just minutes away. Also very close to grocery and drug stores and a short drive to lots of options for restaurants and all that Duluth has to offer. This is a large home with lots of bedrooms and baths to accommodate everyone. This over 100 year old house has beautiful woodwork inside and is very charming, with good WiFi, and a billiard table.
