I love the ambience here. I visit kasara just to get a break from chaotic city life .
A lot of flies on dining area is the most frustrating part .

The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Especially the two guides/naturalists did an excellent job, trying to help us see the elusive tiger on the safaris.
Location was very serene.
The restaurant, especially alcoholic drinks were extremely overpriced. Although the facilities are not bad, I felt the whole place was slightly overpriced including the safaris 250 USD for 3-4 hours with private car, although the guides themselves were definitely worth it.

Super nice accomodation
Nice cocktails
Prem the safari guide is calm, knowledgeable, passionate and sensitive to the ecosystem of the jungle as well as his clients
The shower water pressure isn't very satisfying but that's very minor

Good location as it is very near Chitwan National Park
Prices are a bit steep for the quality of the rooms. Not all lights are functioning

Very little to like in this place.
I recently had the misfortune of staying at Kasara Resort in Chitwan, Nepal for two nights, and it turned out to be one of the worst vacation experiences I have ever had. We had booked a Deluxe villa through Booking.com, but our stay was marred by a multitude of issues that left us feeling frustrated and cheated.
Lack of basic facilities: The resort failed to provide even the most elementary amenities. There was no phone in our room, and room service was non-existent, leaving us feeling stranded and helpless.
No privacy: The room had massive windows with see-through curtains, which meant we were constantly worried about people peeking into our private space. This lack of privacy made it impossible for us to relax and enjoy our stay.
Unreliable hot water supply: The instant gas geyser provided nothing more than a steady trickle of hot water, making it impossible to enjoy a decent shower. This was particularly inconvenient after a long day of sightseeing.
Overpriced: Kasara Resort charged exorbitant prices for even the most basic items. Water bottles, which are typically sold for 15 NPR, were priced at 300 NPR here, while a bottle of beer cost a shocking 1000 NPR. Our two-night stay set us back by almost 1,00,000 NPR, which felt like daylight robbery.
Mediocre food: The buffet food was average at best, and the à la carte menu had extremely limited options. To make matters worse, the food was far from appetizing.
Non-operational spa: To add insult to injury, the spa, which could have provided some much-needed relaxation, was not operational during our stay.
On top of these issues, our private jeep safari to Chitwan National Park was a massive letdown. We saw only a few rhinos and peacocks, making the entire Chitwan experience feel overrated. I would strongly advise against including Chitwan in your Nepal tour.
In conclusion, our stay at Kasara Resort was a complete disappointment. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this resort at all costs.

- Great one-day jeep safari experience with Suresh and Surendra (if you are staying at the hotel, ask for this duo)
- The restaurant staff was also very nice
- Great location if you want an immersive experience into the jungle atmosphere
- All in all, a hotel with great potential tarnished by unfortunately dishonest and incompetent management (particularly for a 5 star hotel!)
For all activities the staff gave us the prices in both rupees and USD (applying btw a very disadvantageous exchange rate). We are French tourists paying in local money.
When we checked out :
- they made us pay for the full-day jeep safari a completely different price than the one they announced (almost 50% higher)
- they were unable to prove to us why they were finally charging such a high amount (nothing was ever written even on their activity menu)
- They refused that we pay in Rupees (we are French), forcing us to pay in dollars and thus applying a terribly disadvantageous exchange rate (1 dollar for 100 rupees instead of 1 dollar for 130 rupees)
- They were incapable of recognising their mistake and deceitful price announcements (they kept insisting that we had just misheard “You made a mistake, you made a mistake”)
- After all this (we were on a hurry to catch our bus), they forgot to charge us for some of the extras : we were already almost at the bus station to catch our bus in a hurry, when they called us to insist we return to the hotel to pay for it, recognising we would most probably miss our bus in consequence (they were ready to let
their incompetence mess with our travel plans)
Also, although providing a nice variety of international food, the quality was average.

Be wary of the pricing conveyed by the safari manager. Extreme dishonesty. For example our Canoeing activity is charged at USD 30 instead of the rate 3000 NPR which another staff at the hotel disclosed. 3000NPR was also published on public domain.
We did not negotiate upon discovery of the mispricing but swear we will never come back again.

The staff was great. Especially the F&B manager made sure we were taken care of well.

the interior of the room. jungle safari was good.
less light. it’s dark no proper light in night. less guest. less staff. most important we found Snake in our bathroom.with kids this space not family friendly.
3.8
Great facilities, the rooms were beautifully designed and thought out.
The food was very average, especially the western food. We found the buffet meals nice and breakfast was good (my husband loved the veggie momos), but ordering individual items from the menu often let us down.
3.8
Great location and facilities.
Some indoor spaces seemed outdated, could help with some renovation.

The hotel itself was very good. The swimming pool and the rooms were amazing. Very relaxing.
The restaurant was very nice but it did not have many options. The hotel is very isolated so there was not much to do outside of the hotel. We went on a little jeep safari and a canoe ride, both of which were underwhelming. Overall a very pleasant stay, very relaxing, but we will probably not go again.

Very nice location close to the park. Nice rooms.
The food could have been better.

Beautiful jungle rooms with good a/c. Really nice rooms, bathroom outside is a really nice touch. Relaxing lodge with many water features. Safari is good (not an abundance of animals but almost guaranteed to see rhinos). Really nice and helpful staff.
I was very sick during my stay and just wanted to sleep but the cleaners kept coming in every hour from 8am. When I finally got up they started cleaning around me whilst I was still in my pyjamas - a little inconsiderate. (The rest of the staff were all very nice and helpful with lemon and honey). As the lodge is in the middle of nowhere you have to eat their set dinner and lunches, good food but overpriced for Nepal. Also quoted a taxi from the airport 3 times more than what we actually got on arrival, and I didn’t even try and bargain the taxi down.
