Lovely house, beautifully clean with everything needed avaliable. Wonderful location. Very comfortable rooms and bathroom. Nice bath for a soak after a long day with delicious body soap.

Revoltingly rude booking staff. Never experienced anything like it. Shame on you, the two staff members at 'Discover Tekapo Accommodation'. It would have been great to be able to sit out on the deck to enjoy the stars and gorgeous evening. The deck is basically unusable; very slippery and covered in debris. A couple of outdoorchairs would be a great addition to take down to the lakeside. It is a "Bush house" which is a euphemism for completely overgrown. With a bit of slight, clever pruning, there would be sun streaming into the lounge and bedrooms in the afternoon, a beautiful location on the deck for star gazing and also a lot less damage to the deck and no doubt guttering. I'm an avid native gardener, and could see so much potential.

Bush House is such a lovely place to stay in Takapo. Close to the lake, Church of the Good Shepherd and easy walking distance into the town itself. Great layout in the house, open plan living area with big sliding doors out onto a private deck, surrounded by trees and bush. Very private. Beds were comfortable with lovely, crisp linen and bed coverings. Having a large en-suite and separate bathroom, meant no drama with the teenage daughter in the morning. Would definitely stay again!!

This property is well named as the Bush House, as you are set back into bush. While this is great for privacy from the other homes, which are close by, it means it is a little dark even in the height of summer. However, we didn't mind this, as the house was cool when we got back to it, after being out in the heat of the day.

Excellent location, very comfortable and spacious. Easy check in process. Would highly reccommend and stay here again.

The lack of sunshine into the house the empty gas barbecue cylinder the chairs and place mats needed wiping the beds and couches were average as were the dishes and kitchen utensils

Great location and very close to the lake. Very quite and peaceful. Very well equipped with everything you need. Nice and close to the church and easy walk to town centre.

A beautiful place to stay, the view from the lounge and bedrooms was stunning, a little piece of native paradise. So close to the lake and township - a perfect spot. Warm, clean, cozy and comfortable. Would definitely return.

The furniture ie table / coffee table was very worn and needed replacing and the sofas needed a good clean. Great house but overall cleanliness was poor and needed a proper spring clean.

The bush house had everything to make our stay very comfortable. It had everything we needed it was great. Nice quiet location and good to park the car in the carport beside the house.

The location was great we were able to take some lovely walks and it was close to everything.
