We very much liked the Villa Balinese and felt privileged to have been able to stay there for four days, We almost felt like celebrities living in a Villa close to perfection for us. The architecture, interior design, the (art) decorations, the pool combined with the magnificent view on the rice fields. And then of course the hospitality provided by Komang and Wayan and the security services by Lily the cat 😉. All graciously designed and operated with care and attention. If coming back to Bali and available we will try to rent it again for sure.

Ubud traffic can be really busy by car but then when entering the Villa all is forgotten at once.

We stayed at the modern Villa Balinese and it was such a treat! The villa is what you would dream of when visiting Bali. Modern yet charming, well furnished, beautifully decorated and with a breathtaking view on the rice fields. Something very special that we will not forget. The location is very convenient, only 5 minutes motorbike ride to the Center of Ubud. A true moment in paradise. If only we could have stayed longer ! I definitely recommend this place.

The Villa is super clean and comfortable! Everything looks the same as on pictures. Stunning view of the rice fields, amazing pool, and luxurious interiors. The locations is very convenient and close to the city center.

Beautiful villa set in private grounds with a wonderful view of the rice fields over an infinity pool. Very airy, beautifully decorated open space with everything you need provided. We were looked after by Komang who couldn't be more sweet and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and I had a great stay!

Nothing except not being able to stay longer

The villa is beautifully furnished, in a very relaxing location. Komang the staff is incredible, a great cook and very helpful. She keeps the villa super clean.

Villa layout was awesome. Better than the pics! Komang was amazing and a great cook too, nothing was too much trouble! Awesome pool, the fish and pond is awesome too, my 2 year old loved feeding and talking to them everyday! The pictures dont do this place justice!

Bed in second bedroom downstairs, very uncomfortable!! Don't take notice of the one bad review given to Komang. It couldnt be further from the truth, Komang is amazing.

I expected the staff of the villa would be professional, but I didn't get the feeling of welcoming us from her. I know this space for the good point and these are bad point but not enough space for the space for bad point, so I am writing here. She stood still looking at me with a gesture and expression that she had now finished explaining herself. So, I had to ask about breakfast, where to find the safety box, ect. The only thing she explained to me without my asking was that we couldn't use the air condition in the house if we are going to use the pool at night. 1. When I asked about breakfast, she said 'you check out tomorrow'. I answered that I was going to stay 2 nights and 3days but she didn't believe it. So, I suggested checking with the owner again. 2.Anyway, she showed the menu to us. However, she asked us to order the same item. She said it would be easy for her to make it herself. 3. She kept coughing and sneezing while making our breakfast.  She did not wear a mask, kept coughing and sneezing...It was like that all two days. 4. The house said "No Pet House", but there was a cat in the house.  I love cats, but my son and I are allergic(miner) to cats. I recommend that the owner write there is a cat in the house description. Someone may have a severe allergy to cats, and when check-in, found that the house is full of cat hair, changing accommodation can be stressful. 5. I wanted to go up to the second floor, but the cat wouldn't let me pass me on the stairs going up to the second floor.  it was not comfortable to have a cat in the house that is hissed to humans.  The balcony on the second floor seemed like the cat's usual resting place, and the cat's hair was so many and everywhere. So, we couldn't sit on it. 6. The house was beautiful. According to the staff, there were a few things that the person who used it before broke.

7.On the second day, around 12:00noon, a man who seemed to be a friend of the staff rang the bell with food in his hand.  When we checked, he asked us who we were, and when we replied that we were guests here, he asked us when we checked out. I did not feel safe to be in this house.  Anyway, we said that we check out tomorrow, so he said he I will come back tomorrow and go.  I wondered if the staff, who thought we were checking out in one day, had made an appointment with a friend to meet here in advance. 8. On the last day, she coughed and sneezed again while made breakfast... and double-checked with us what time we checked out.  We said we wanted to check out at 12, and she said we had to check out by 11am. Ichecked up the reservation details again and showed her. But she said check out is 11am and she said she would start cleaning at 11am.  I asked her not to come at 11 o'clock because it was not comfortable for us. She said "don't worry, no rush, we only do cleaning.". I was too tired to talk to her.  I made it clear that I don't want the cleaning to start before checkout.  She said don't worry, you pack your bags and she only cleans. And she came before 11 am even.  Around 10:40am.  I was so angry that I said check-out at 12:00, but she said she is not saying check out early or  in a hurry. She said that she would start by cleaning the empty room. I was so angry that I just left. Then, after a while, I opened the door and found out that she had not returned and was still in the room. I was so surprised.  Even though she could see my angry face, she asked me if I had left my luggage upstairs because she wants to start upstairs now. 9. staff cleaning the pool and outside also tooks almost an hour between 8 and 9 o'clock. After finished the pool cleaning, we could not use the pool. As a result, they had already cleaned all the rooms by the time we checked out just before 12 noon.

The property was absolutely exquisite - layout, design, facilities and the views. The lady working there - Komang - is an angel. She was a superb host and made us feel very welcome and cooked us amazing breakfasts. Can’t recommend this place enough.

IF I have to say one thing then it would be that the villa is not in the centre of Ubud (short taxi away) but we didn’t find it an issue.
