Not much! The view - although I found it hard to relax and enjoy it - in this 'accommodation'. Although the host (Booking.com) was helpful when we couldn't get the TV working - answered phone and resolved the issue. I mentioned the state of the property and he mentioned COVID... really..... this place shouldn't be rented if the owners aren't prepared to fund a re-paint etc etc. I don't even want to think about the price of one night.

We were very disappointed as soon as we opened the front door. I have never seen walls of a home in such bad condition - absolutely covered in marks - it has obviously been a 'party house' for a long time. The kitchen counter top is covered in scratches, door hinges are loose in the pantry, the chair legs at the main table are wobbly and every wall and door way is marked. Couch and carpets dirty and floors felt tacky. One wine glass in the pantry - that says it all!! Everything felt dirty from just looking at it, due to the condition of the interior. Firewood was far too large for starting the fire - hence this took a while. Not allowed to park in the Garage, but then the car was probably happier outside!

Kitchen facilities were a bit mishap - there was no baking paper or foil to cook on the oven tray with, the pots didn’t have any lids that fit (there was lots of lids but not to the current pots), no chux to clean with and the kitchen floor was very sticky.

Spacious and well equipped. Warm and quiet. Great shower pressure.

Interior was a little worn and tired. Looked like a party venue. Not the cleanest in places, eg. kitchen cupboards; dishwasher had not been unpacked from previous guests; marks on walls.

We saw a mouse in the main bedroom (which was hiding behind the curtains) and could not use the room. Some of us had to use the guest room where the beds were not of great quality and could not sleep well. When we reported the issue via booking.com there was a simple acknowledgement of receipt without any offer of apology about the fact that there was a mouse and the main bedroom could not be used.

The house was very nice and well laid out. Location and view were great. There was a good variety of kitchen tools. Instructions were very clear and simple for check in/out.

This was a beautiful property but the experience was affected by little things. Many of the dishes we pulled out to use were dirty. There were no facecloths provided, or even disposables like tissues or paper towel. We washed all the dishes we used before we left but there was no drying rack and only one thin kitchen towel provided, so by the time we dried half our dishes it was soaked through. Definitely don’t want to sound negative about such a nice and reasonably priced property but a little extra cleanliness and being a little more sparing with linens would go a long way.

House needs a total repaint.....not very clean....spare room was dirty and cushions on couch were dirty
