I have stayed in many places during my visit to Sri Lanka, all in similar price range, and this place was one of the best. Very clean, AC working properly, specious room, comfortable bed, clean linen and very friendly owner. Quite far from the beach and town centre but it didn’t bother us as we had our own tuk tuk.

Didn’t notice any negative things

We loved our stay at Arana Bungalow. we stayed here for two weeks, the room was really nice and clean, the house Manager Nimal was incredible and so kind, he cleaned our room whenever we asked provided fresh towels and sheets, he even took us shopping and taught us how to cook some traditional Sri Lankan food. Nimal also got us a rental scooter for 2 weeks which was very handy for exploring Galle and the surrounding Areas. I would recommend any travellers to stop here for the good facilities and definitely for the hospitality 10/10.

the house keeper is probably one of the kindest, most welcoming and gentle souls i met during my stay in the island. he offered to drive us around and prepared us breakfast even though we didn't ask. We had a beautiful conversation during coffe about his life, family and dreams. He shared the perfect amount of information without ever bore us or over sharing. such a nice man! really recommend the place if you want a warm welcome and feel safe and taken care of. also beautiful garden around and 10 minuts drive from the fort.

the house is very simple and basic but the housekeeper is such a nice man that you forget about it.

Friendly and helpful staff

The place was much more better than what I expected. The bungalow is very well maintained. The caretaker was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place for any local/ foreigner.
