Location.

Expensive for the room we got. Windows faced onto air conditioning units. Breakfast staff kept hounding us about closing time even though we were there at 9 and it closed at 19. Breakfast mediocre. No bacon and lots of empty trays. Wi fi password was wrong for our room. Had to seek out staff to get correct one. Why not give us the right one. Only make beds every 3 days which meant we made our own beds despite paying more to stay here than other hotels.

Breakfast and the location were great!

The man who was yelling in English every morning at breakfast "GOOD MORNING!". I think I understand his intension was to show enthusiasm, but it was it was wierd and a little bit frightening. It was only one man. The other staff used a normal voice and it was nice to be greated with a smile and a normal voice. I also really didn't like it when some of the male staff tried to communicate in English, when clearly their level of English only made the situation worse. I speak Japanese, and when I spoke Japanese to them, they ignored my Japanese and kept using English. For example, In Japanese, I asked one man for his recommendation for a place to eat, and he answered me in English, "Near!" and pointed out the door. We had no idea what restaurant or where it might be. In contrast, on another occasion, I asked a young lady at the front desk for recommendations, and she gave me very clear directions (in Japanese) to a very good Okonomiyaki restaurant that we all enjoyed.

お部屋のガラスに指紋がついていた トイレの黒ずみが気になった 枕のカバーは変えてあるが、前回の宿泊者がつけていたであろう香水の匂いが、枕に付いてしまっていたのが残念だった

Location, amenities provided, esp night wear. The room is also very big for a Japanese hotel. Lots of food around the hotel

The hotel location is at the centre of Kyoto. It is also very close to the Kyoto station and all attractions. I don't need to walk that much because the hotel is connected to Kyoto station via an underground path. You can save yourself from the rain!

The hotel has a very limited number of staff at the front desk, which made the check-in process super slow. Also, the paid WiFi (including within the hotel room cost) was not working for me, and the staff at the front desk didn't keep his promise to fix the issue. I hated when someone promised me to do it but, in the end, didn't deliver. I lived for 4 days and 3 nights without any single WiFi connection. The hotel provided free WiFi, but it was super slow. You can't even open your email on the phone, even the basic HTML of Gmail. Very bad!

Location was good. Near the Train & bus stations. Room was spacious but not enough of drawer space. Breakfast was good. Many choices

I arrived at 2pm and was not allowed to check-in. Understandable since the check-in time was stated at 3pm. I returned at 3:20pm. Only 2 person was at the reception. The guy who attended to me said I didn't have a booking and took a long time to check it. It to It took me 40 minutes to get my room keys. The lobby smells like a sewage tank.

Buffet was good and had variety Rooms were close together The price was good for the length of stay and convenience of the location

We particularly liked the location very good and close to station. The rooms were a good size with good amenities.

I didn't like the checking in process as you had to do it on machines which quite often you needed to call a staff member over to assist. I would suggest not using machines and using one to one staff member.

Location is good. Close to East wing of Kyoto station. With convenience stores, restaurant and department stores nextdoor.

Our Executive suit is next to the Lift lobby. We can hear the lift’s motor noise when it’s moving or stop. The hotel should do better on Sound proofing.

We had booked hotel opposite JR station for 3-night stay which we could connect via basement.

Hot water system failed on day 2 and they transferred our family to a sister hotel supposedly 3 mins walk away. But it was difficult for us with elderly on wheelchair and many luggages amid severe snowstorm condition and very cold weather. After extensive discussions, the hotel arranged for taxi transfer which we had to wait for 1-2 hours. Wr had to brave the snow and cold weather walking to and from the sister hotel to the train station and other parts of Kyoto. for the next 2 days. The hotel staff’s English proficiency is low and it wasn’t easy communicating with them on our needs. There was nothing else done to compensate for the inconvenience we had to endure from the hotel transfer.
