We always choose the Fairmont when we visit Chengdu as it’s so convenient to get from the airport, the metro stop at Century City being right outside. The high corner king rooms are lovely and we were very grateful to be upgraded to one of these.

Breakfast is not the best, but perfectly adequate.

出行方便，虽然不在市中心但是机场坐地铁可以直达酒店门口。入住时前台发现是我太太生日还很惊喜地送了个生日蛋糕。

早餐品质一般。

An upscale hotel in a prime location. Grandiose view. Lots of gastronomy nearby. Subway in front. Superb view. Friendly staff. Can't think of much to improve.

No shampoo etc. in bath tub, and no way to remove these items from the shower.

The rooms are beautiful and very well appointed with great views. The metro station is just outside the main entrance making it very convenient and accessible

The breakfast buffet area is downstairs with no view and does feel very enclosed but the food is great and this makes up for this

The staff, the GM and his team always go the extra mile to make you feel so welcome and comfortable.

-Breakfast is good. -Bed is comfortable . -The bellboys are good looking and friendly. -Chinese restaurant, the food is very delicious!

Several details ruined our entire stay. No service mind in general. - I booked a Deluxe king room for 3 nights here on booking and the check-in staff suggested us to pay extra to upgrade to a Gold suit which we did, but the problem is they didn't inform us we need to pay for our 12years old son's breakfast fee. We could just book two Deluxe king rooms instead. -No executive lounge use rights from our extra pay upgrade, but book directly from booking you will get. The price is about the same. -We ordered a chief's recommended kimchi soup from the Japanese restaurant, the recipe of the menu has written very clearly that there's squid in the soup, but no squild at all, not even a taste of squid!!!!! How they solve the problem after we asked....no one told us why and they did nothing about our doubts. In the breakfast restaurant, the baker was just standing there and talking with one guest for 15 minutes and he did ignored another guest made one of the food pliers dropped on the floor. And they never replace it. So the next guest can continue to use it. Welcome to the Fairmont Chengdu! -Jan.2nd morning around 6:50 when I took my plate to take food, right in front of me, behind the food table. One of the chef expectorated really loud. And another two chefs came they started to chat, one of them was swearing loud: F**k your mum's pus*y! in Sichuan dialect"***ni ma mai P". Is that my fault to understand their dialect ? Those shouldn't be the services you get in a 5 stars hotel, especially an international brand like Faidmont!
