הגענו בימים חמים מאוד ואי אפשר הייה להפעיל מזגן ביקשנו ונאמר לנו שמזגנים אינם פעילים בחודש אפריל ברחבי המלון נאלצנו לישון עם חלון פתוח עם נוף למגרש שנראה כמו אתר בבניה ההליכה ברגל עד למרכז העיר קצת רחוקה 20 דקות לכל כיוון יומים לא הוחלפו לנו מגבות לא הבנו למה עד שפניתי לקבלה בערב אז רק הם שלחו נציג עם מגבות

Das etwas peripher zum Zentrum gelegene Businesshotel Saffron haben wir vor allem wegen seiner günstigen Zimmerpreise gebucht. Dass wir das nicht allein erkannt hatten, haben wir an dem hohen Gästeaufkommen an den zwei Tagen im Oktober gemerkt als wir in Bratislawa waren. Die Innenstadt ist mit der Straßenbahn - die Haltestelle liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe des Hotels - rasch erreichbar. Wir haben es wie fast immer in Städten bevorzugt, von dort aus zu Fuß die Stadt zu erobern. In der Innenstadt waren wir auch als sog. „Silver Agers“ innerhalb einer halben Stunde. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück und preiswertes Parkplatzangebot. Geheimtipp: An der Rückfront des Hotels befindet sich eine Kneipe im besten Sinne mit unschlagbaren Getränkepreisen im Gegensatz zu den hohen im Hotel.

Kein Restaurant. Überzogene Getränkepreise bei geringer Auswahl an der Bar.

...on the second night (15th-16th April), the hotel had apparently invited a large group of party people into one of their meeting rooms. I returned from work at around 10 pm, took a shower and lay down for a long night of rest in a very comfortable, 4th floor room on a very comfortable bed. About an hour later, there was a boom boom boom sound, which I though was a passing car with powerful speakers. Turns out the party on the 2nd floor featured a professional DJ setup which caused the entire buildlng to vibrate and rumble to a very powerful bass woofer system! The noise still hadn't stopped by 1 am, so I packed up and drove two hours across the border back to my own home. Regrettably, I stormed out of the hotel in anger and told the receptionist I wanted a refund for the second night. I realize this poor decision to turn an otherwise comfortable hotel into a disco nightmare was not her fault. I will now endeavor to contact the person responsible...
