Etwas in die Jahre gekommene Lodge ca. 1h von Windhoek. Wir hatten ein schönes selfcatering-Haus, ansonsten war die Lodge wegen Abwesenheit der Betreiberin gschlossen. Wir wurden aber von einem älteren Ehepaar betreut, dass dort aushilft und Langzeiturlaub macht. Dies war sehr informativ. Langzeitaufenthalte möglich. Kooperative Gastgeberin.
Das wir nur 1 Tag da waren d unser Flug 1 Tag Verspätung hatte.

Sehr gute Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage bei Windhoek. Der persönliche und gastfreundliche Umgang haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Top Abendessen und Frühstück in sehr schönem Ambiente.

Wir wurden von den Betreiber sehr herzlich aufgenommen. Die deutschsprachige Chefin hat uns viel über ihr Leben auf der Farm erzählt und wir haben uns nett unterhalten ohne dass es aufdringlich war, einfach nur angenehm. Bei der Ankunft wurde uns Tee und Kaffee mit Keksen angeboten. Das Frühstück und vor allem das Abendessen, es gab gegrilltes Wildfleisch und Carpaccio vom Zebra, einfach sagenhaft. Wir kommen wieder !!!!!

Die herzliche und authentische Atmosphäre

Es ist hier alles super! Man fühlt sich wie bei Freunden. Ariane hat mich vom Flughafen abgeholt und auch wieder hingerichtet. Sie ist immer da mit Tipps, wenn man Fragen hat. Das Frühstück ist fantastisch, frische Brötchen, selbst gebacken, Wurst (Wild), Käse, Eier, Müsli, selbstgemachte Marmelade, guter Kaffee, sehr freundlicher Service. Es passt alles! Eagle Rock ist keine Luxuslodge, aber in solchen zahlt man auch einen vielfachen Preis. Es ist einfach ein Ort zum Entspannen und Wohlfühlen bei Freunden! Auf Wunsch werden auch Wildbeobachtungsfahrten arrangiert, mit etwas Glück kann man auch direkt von der Lodge mal was beobachten. Vögel gibt's massig!

- the bed was small (only 1,40m for 2 people) and the mattress was very uncomfortable

Joint dinner of all guests, quiet location within easy reach of Windhoek. Helpful staff. Romantic decorations when lightning caused lengthy power cut.
Some rooms had a valley view, but ours was facing the swimming pool.

The food in the evening was excellent. Breakfast was very good too. We had been driving long distances and needed a few days rest. Eagle Rock, only 20 kms outside Windhoek provided that. Great staff...great sunsets.

Hostess Ariane and her team are very friendly, the dinner - 3 courses - was delicious, as well as the breakfast. Before breakfast you could order a coffee or tea in front of your room door at a time of your choice - great service! The location is great, in the middle of beautiful, quiet nature and still only about 35 km from Windhoek, ideal for the beginning or end of a Namibian holiday. The chalets were very clean and cozy.

Almost everything went well. No complaints at all! The visit to Liepig Haus and Von Friedrich Feste were highlights. The food and meals were also quite good.
A coffee/tea station in the room would've been the icing on the cake. But the early morning coffee brought to the room and the afternoon coffee more than made up for this.

Dinner was great. Ariane took very well of us. We saw many animals while driving around in de surroundings of the lodge.
