We had a very enjoyable, relaxed stay in Stolac. Staying in a monumental building definitely enriched the experience. And our host Aldin was very helpful in showing us around.

Mehmedbasica house is 18 th century , intetesting and historical building, but need complete renovation.

Toalet/ bathroom need serious renovation, room is large but unvomfortable, , all place need to be clean in details. Ligjt in room is poor.

I liked the general idea of the place and it's history

The place simply wasn't clean and ready to take in the guests. The bathroom in the other house was bad, the shower cabin couldn't close up and the floor had some tape on it. The room we were in was never shown on their insta page and besides the dust, it didn't offer much. The swing outside has never been washed. Also, when we were getting ready to sleep, around 10, there were people outside, laughing amd talking.

It was a fabulous and memorable place. We felt so cosy in this authentic room in a historical house. The bed was very good too. There is also a kitchen and a garden. Superb location near the old mosque next to the river. The person who owned it was very friendly and accommodating.

It’s a unique opportunity to sleep in a traditional Bosnian house. It all works just lovely, the modern and traditional. Cosy, comfortable and nice.

The problem I had was a rooster which was active since 3.30 for the nest 2h :/ Kitchen could be cleaner.

The property has been faithfully restored, with various artefacts and carpets giving the place immense character. Sit on the rocking chair on the terrace and imagine how life in Stolac once was. It has a beautiful garden in which to enjoy your morning coffee.

The accommodation is up a steep hill, but it is easily manageable even with young children. Parking is available a five minute walk away (the property can be reached by car if required).
