Comfortable and very clean rooms, friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, brilliant location. My food requirements were met and exceeded, and everyone was so helpful, answering all my questions and giving all guidance. There was plenty to do in the accommodation if I didn't want to leave, and it felt very welcoming to use the more public spaces like the sitting room and the bar

Our host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The bed was beautifully comfortable and our breakfast was lovely. The atmosphere of the lodge was friendly. It was a kindness to have an honesty bar and the longe was sunny and welcoming. The location was calm with great access to the coastal path

Very friendly & welcoming staff. Room was clean & spacious. Breakfast was lovely! We had a wedding at Tunnels Beaches which was within 5 minutes walking distance.

Room was a little bit dated but this didn’t bother us!

The staff were great and the room was very good. The breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order.

We were greeted by a very friendly lady and made us feel right at home instantly. Nothing was too much trouble for the two ladies. Breakfast was excellent. We would go back in a heartbeat. The location was perfect and shops and pubs are within easy walking distance. Free parking is always a bonus. It is a very quiet location. The sea is just a stones throw away.

Honestly there was nothing to dislike except for noisy seagulls which one gets used to very quickly.

Lovely place in a quiet part of Ilfracombe, Allison the host was extremely helpful and friendly. The room although a little on the small side was clean with en-suite. A lovely view from the balcony was perfect. Breakfast was everything you’d need to start the day. Would highly recommend this place to stay and will do so myself when I visit again. Thank you for a great time.

very welcoming, comfortable bedding and I had a balcony on my bedroom. Fabulous breakfast and very friendly people. even accepted my dog for the stay.

These are my personal dislikes, they didn’t spoil my stay - creaky doors, the curtains weren’t dark enough for me.

Where do we start?! I dont think ive ever stayed anywhere so welcoming. The greeting was second to none, Alison came out with a map of ilfracombe and suggested all the best spots and dog friendly areas/restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was immaculate and we had a balcony overlooking the town and partial sea view (room 6). Breakfast was incredible all fresh and locally sourced. The lady whom serves the breakfast was so lovely, they even provided a bowl of sausages for the dogs breakfast! The location is perfect, directly onto the coastal path across the cliffs. Easy walk into town and the views are stunning. We highly recommend and will be returning next year.

The owner was very helpful with local information and very friendly. The breakfast was lovely.

The hotel could benefit from some updating of decoration. It is clean though and has what we needed.
