We enjoyed our time at the lake house. We do this every fall liked this location better than our last one In Kentucky.

The property was clean and beautiful. The outdoor spaces were fantastic! The issues that we had were with uncomfortable sleeping arrangements. The bunk beds were very creaky and it made sleeping difficult. Also, if you closed the doors to the bedrooms they were super hot so we had to have all bedroom doors open which was not great for privacy or some people trying to sleep in

It’s was a blast weekend even though the weather was not a pleasant. We enjoyed fishing and caught some fish. We enjoyed canoeing as well. A nice place for retreat

This was a great property for our group of friends on our business trip. Laid back but clean and well furnished.

The property was great for our large family getaway. Between kids and adults it accommodated all 19 of us. The house was very clean, there was plenty of sleeping space for everyone and the lake views were wonderful. The home is secluded and private but still only a 10 min drive to the grocery and convenient stores. We had a wonderful weekend. I really don’t have any complaints except one thing. All of the bedrooms are on the second floor. Getting up and down the stairs was a little difficult for my elderly grandparents. We made due, but I think it would be helpful to put that in the property listing so others are aware. The only option for downstairs sleeping was the couch or roll away beds, which wouldn’t have worked well for some people. But overall the house was perfect for our large crew and we will likely be back!

We stayed at this house for an extended-family trip. The house has everything you need, the hostess is a lovely person and very communicative and helpful and the view from the home is breathtakingly pretty. All the said, however, if you’re into water sports or desire a lake to play in... Boggs Lake is not it. We are a very active family who loves to be in the water and we’re really disappointed with the Lake itself. It was overgrown with algae due to the heat, so it could have been a seasonal issue. If you just want to enjoy a beautiful lake view, go in a boat ride, fish and not go into the water... perfect spot.

The house had just about everything we could have wanted except electricity at the boat dock. We had to run over 100 feet of extension cords to charge our boat batteries. The only other negative is that there wasn't a fish cleaning station and we didn't find out until after our arrival that they had demolished the fish cleaning building in the adjacent park where we have cleaned fish in the past. But it looks like they are going to rebuild the cleaning building in the park so this will be a short-lived problem. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a very nice place to have several people for a lake outing. The location and views are outstanding and the property is well kept. A couple of small negatives wouldn't keep me from giving it a five star rating overall.

We were unable to stay the weekend due to a broken furnace. We are in the process of being refunded our money. We have received about 75% of the money VRBO is withholding part of the money. We do plan on using this rental in the summer.

This spot worked well for our groups Thanksgiving gathering. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep, and the openness of the main floor worked well for everyone to be hanging out, but also people able to do separate things like watching Thanksgiving parades on the TV or playing games at the table. The kitchen was well equipped for all the cooking we did. While it was a little chilly to take much advantage of them, the outdoor spaces and deck were really nice and would love to come back here during the spring or summer season to really take advantage of the lake.

My family and I were in town for a wedding. We absolutely loved our stay at The Lake House. There was plenty of room for the family to spread out. The hosts were so kind and helpful throughout our stay! We’re so thankful for the memories made that weekend!

This spot was amazing! We wanted a place next to water because a lot of us liked to fish and everyone likes to just relax on the water. The water itself was nice, and the views and surroundings were very pleasant. One of our group brought a fishing boat and it was out at least twice a day. The house itself was good too! Nice open main floor was perfect for everyone to hang out in. We played a lot of games, watched movies, made burgers and dogs, and enjoyed the outside deck in the evening. Great spot for anyone looking for a nice, lakeside getaway.

The property was clean and well maintained. The pictures accurately reflect the property. However, a couple of things were disappointing. Check in isn't until 5 PM, which is the latest of any property we've rented. While I understand the house needs to be cleaned between guests, check out was at 10 AM, which should give ample time for the property to be available sooner. We rented this particular house because of the lake. We brought a boat to fish and the bass fishing was good. However, the other main reason we wanted to be on the lake was so our kids could swim. The lake water is disgusting. It's green and so thick with algae, you can't see more than a couple inches into the water. Locals said the lake has been having a problem for more than a year. I would never swim in it or allow my kids to do so. The boat was stained green from the water and had to be scrubbed down. I've never encountered water like this before and after paying for a lakefront property so our kids could have constant access to the water, we were disappointed.

Good time by all. Our only complaint would be. Bedrooms were small and beds need updated. Meant the owner. Was very nice and welling to accommodate us.

The Good- Great location and very private. Overall the house felt decently clean. While bedrooms were small, they did fine for our number. The Bad- A lot of small issues that weren’t a big deal but together kind of soured it a bit. Light bulbs out, dirty plates in cabinets, a non-stick pan that literally had the non-stick coming off. Marshmallow sticks with caked on mallow. Algae in the immediate swimming water, the dullest knives I’ve ever cooked with, WiFi that could barely bring up a webpage. Late check-in and early check-out. The Ugly- After leaving I received a text that we would lose our deposit because we left dirty dishes in the sink and didn’t bag all the garabage. We cleaned all dishes and left some out of the dishwasher to dry because the dishwasher was so small. The trash bins outside were overflowing yet we still bagged and placed our trash in the bins and around it. We may have not gotten a bathroom or something. We also did all the linens according to the directions. I was shocked to get the message and asked them to take pictures as evidence and received no reply. Don’t be surprised if you lose your deposit even if you leave the house in good shape. I think we took careful care of the house, moved all patio furniture back to original locations and did a good job cleaning. I think someone on there side is a little overzealous on getting a little extra money. As I promised Brenda, though I am upset about them keeping the deposit, I still want to be fair and truthful in my review. If you rent here, you will enjoy it and likely have a good time. You’re just as likely not to receive your deposit.

This place was perfect for our 4 families!!! Plenty of room to sleep, play, and eat!!! Our kids had fo much fun running in the yard, bounce houses in the yard, Fishing, swimming in the lake and against Fishing!!! Everything in the house was clean and it had everything we needed!!! I would definitely recommend this Lake house!!!

We really enjoyed ourselves. Plenty of room for all of us. Everything you see you get, plus so much more. Beautiful view of lake while on patio. Kids had a great time swimming and boating. We will return and not pack so much because they have it. Can't say enough about this property.
