Breakfast was great, location very good

This is a wonderful lodging and restaurant that is convenient to the points of interest in the Karen area of Nairobi. The lodgings are attractive, authentic Kenyan and well-equipped. The grounds are lovely and the staff exceptional--ready to fulfill any request. We highly recommend this lodging.

Staff and environment are just lovely. Beautiful gardens filled with tiny birds. Location is level, easy walking distance to the Giraffe Centre.

Aside from a small local market and the Giraffe Centre, there isn’t much around.

Excellent location in the Nairobi suburbs near sites we wanted to visit. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The cottage was terrific for our family of four to relax comfortably and beautifully decorated. Felt like home away from home!

The shower leaked on the floor. Dinner at the hotel restaurant took very long and was not hot.

We were very impressed with the service we received from the young man working - he had a really good attitude. We only stayed one night but the accommodation had everything we needed after our Kenyan safari and before heading to our next safari. The location was great to visit the local attractions and shopping mall after some much needed rest. The food was fine.

Great hosts, everyone was very friendly! The location is off the city center and in a calm area. Reception is quick to respond and very helpful. The cottage was unique and the meals were delicious!

The cottage did not have a fan or AC, therefore it was quite hot in the evenings. The safe malfunctioned, but it was quickly replaced by the staff.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. We had several appliances at our disposal. The garden surrounding the cottage was marvelous with a variety of different species of plants, flowers and birds! The food was delicious. And above all the staff was very nice. Millie is an excellent hostess, kind and always helpful!

Location in Karen is good but a bit far from main city.

We got in late, they arranged a drive to pick us up that was excellent. They were waiting for us at the restaurant- ready to make us dinner late - past 9pm - and had nice cold Tuskers for us. Our cabin was better than expected, so cute, quaint with a nice little porch to sit outside with a drink and watch the sun go down while listening to all the birds. Our last day, they accommodated us with a vacant cabin since we were not leaving til late that date. They went over and beyond and I would definitely stay again!

Very tranquil and yet close to town, lovely and cozy cottage in a serene environment suitable for relaxation. Comfortable beds, hot shower and excellent WiFi. Breakfast was good. Staff are super responsive and pleasant to deal with.

We really enjoyed our stay! Lighting could have been brighter, we had to remove the lamp shades in the living area and kitchen to get more light, but the staff were quick to deal with our request and very responsive.

We spent a wonderful week at the conveniently located Severine Cottages in September. The staff, especially Jeffrey, Millie and Linda, could not have been nicer or more helpful. Our two bedroom cottage, set in their beautifully maintained grounds, was roomy and comfortable, with a porch and lovely front yard for enjoying the outdoors. The on-site restaurant provides a traditional English breakfast and a good dinner menu, including local specialties. (Our wine was chilled and waiting every night!) They also went above and beyond, providing box lunches for an all-day outing. All in all a great place to stay – we recommend it one hundred percent!
