Came to Louisville to do the Bourbon Trail. We saw four distilleries on a Saturday. The house was perfect and clean. Beds were comfortable. The neighbors were friendly and the area had a safe historical feel. I would stay there again.

I didn’t want to have to leave a review like this, but unfortunately I felt after my messages with the owner and the experience our group had left me with little to no choice. We had to initiate the process to check in upon arrival and we got there approximately 30 minutes after the check in time. Once we got ourselves inside and checked in we were met with dustiness on all surfaces, urine all over a bathroom, ants on the counters, gnats and flies flying around, cleanly carpets, cobwebs on light fixtures, pretty much all lightbulbs missing from any lamps, the freezer leaked water into the kitchen, the basement had flooding that leaked into the bathroom, prior guests left trash outside that animals got into below the porch, duck tape to cover holes in the glass portion of the front door, the 3rd floor bedroom was approximately 90 degrees, and not nearly enough cutlery to host a home for a 6 bedroom home. We also found stains on bedsheets, laundry already in the dryer (not put away, must have been the expectation that we would do that upon arrival), and we did not see a mouse but we did see mouse feces and after I had shared all of these issues with the owner who then called me “impossible”. They did send the cleaning crew back but I asked that if they did that to please let us know and we would try to leave the place so we wouldn’t be in the way and they came without notice. The host does not care about your stay- it’s a money grab for them. We tried to move and they refused.

Pros: The inside of the house looks exactly like the pictures! Very big, great space for a large group (we had 6). Modern on the inside.
Cons: Porch light was out, which was scary for us since we didn’t arrive until after 10PM. Front door lock did not work to access the house - owner is aware and just advised to use back door. That was not convenient for us as we had to walk through a hilly yard to get to the back. There were literally only 3 forks in the house, which didn’t make sense because they advertise how the house sleeps 10. We had to let our 3 teens eat first, then we were able to use the 3 forks. The bathroom in my bedroom did not have a caddy or any shelves in the shower so we had to put our shower gel on the floor while we were in the shower. There also was not a dispenser for the toilet paper so we had to just sit the role on the sink etc. Minor unexpected inconvenience , but it should be fixed. Typically, I receive check in details 2-3 days before my stay. But this property did not share the info until the day of, which made us nervous during our travels.

We had a great time at the Terrace or property. We had 9 guests with plenty of room for everyone. The neighborhood is charming! It was nice to walk around and look at all the historical homes. We would definitely return.

The home is very beautiful in a stunning historic area. However once you have stayed for a few hours, things change... there are blown out lights, or no lights in many of the rooms. There were NO curtains upstairs so the boys sleeping up there were up at the crack of dawn. One of the light bulbs popped so had to look everywhere for a vacuum and in doing the vacuuming we noted that that place was not very clean. There is not enough plates, cups etc for the amount of guest staying (we had 11 and a baby). And no dishwasher liquid or tablets so couldn't even clean the dirty ones properly to reuse. These should be standard for traveling guests. There was no air con in the top floor and the vent on the top floor fell to the ground just missing my son who was lying in the bed. This place could be an AMAZING place - but it needs some love and care.

Owner left us stranded with no way to enter house and wasn’t responsive to messages or emails, even ones that were sent 24 hrs prior to checkin. On day of arrival no instructions were sent to enter property and even Expedia couldn’t get a hold of owner. The 11 of us had to go find hotels at the last minute.

We were in Kentucky for work and this home was really close to the Kentucky Expo Center and local places to eat. It was really nice being able to come home to a house instead of a hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.

The home is in a location that provides great proximity to the downtown area and the highway for travelling outside of downtown. The front porch is nice for sitting and walking the court was a nice experience to see features of other historic homes.
The home was perfect for 5 couples, with great bathroom resources. The owner is responsive and provided us with a new coffee pot when the current coffee pot was not functional. Check In and Check Out are easy and smooth with minimal check out requirements.
Our favorite feature for a house of 10 adults was the instant hot water at the sinks and in the shower, hot water was never an issue.
We would stay here again!

Our family looked for a place to stay that had ample bedrooms and space in a central location for our bourbon trail stops, and we were not disappointed! The house has so much room and character!!! It’s is an older home but has been renovated tastefully without giving up its history. The neighborhood is quiet and parking on the street was not an issue. The location was close to the interstate and lots of local places for dining and drinks. We used the main floor every evening for game night and basement for games as well. David was great and very responsive ….thank you!!!! Just a great family trip all around!!!

Situated in a tucked away part of Old Louisville, this old 3-story + basement house was ideal for a large holiday gathering of family. Wish we could have had better weather (Christmas snow) to appreciate the mini-neighborhood of houses there. Must be beautiful in spring/summer!

Friends and I were visiting Louisville for a bourbon tasting and theological retreat. The home was spacious, decor up to date, and provided a great place for us to comfortably gather outside or our planned activities. Would definitely stay again if we ever make our way back to Louisville.

Beautiful home but needs more cleanliness
Everything was pretty good. House it’s beautiful it self, but It was not as clean enough. And the sheets weren’t wash. I had to wash them all before we used the beds. Pillows are very dirty (yellow).
I would suggest more pans. There was only 2 and old.

Good Value
For the rate we paid, we felt like the property was a good value. The neighborhood is nice, old Louisville but there's definitely some lower income multi-family housing mixed in with the million dollar homes. Good proximity to both downtown as well as highways to explore bourbon country. Home was nicely done and updated in the kitchen and bathrooms. Home could use some limited repairs/maintenance (oven wasn't working, brick steps to get into the house were loose, etc) and would really benefit from some sort of usable outdoor space. It's a good size property but the only usable portion of the exterior is the front porch. Bedding was definitely lacking as the quality of the mattresses/pillows was really sub par. A lot of very firm mattresses and motel-style thin and crunchy pillows. Property management was not responsive for weeks leading up to the check-in date but was then extremely responsive in the 48 hours prior, which made up for it.

Nice place on a beautiful street
The house is nice, as the pictures show but could use some TLC. Floral Terrace is a stunningly beautiful garden walkway, I recommend taking a stroll on it. It would have been nice if the host would have answered my questions before our stay. A little communication goes a long way. The 3 star review is not based on the accommodations but on the host.

Great Spot for a Group!!! Highly Recommend!
Was a nice comfortable house for our group. You have a good cleaning crew, place was clean and we hope we left it reasonably so for them! The lights on the basement staircase have been mentioned in several of your prior reviews and also did not work for us. I would recommend looking at that for safety reasons (if not liability as well). The front door we figured out but I would suggest including the details about the pin position on your welcome email. We missed that part originally. All the needed amenities were there (poss Exception being trash bags). Would definitely recommend to another large group! Thanks.
Only comment is the house could have had a little more condiments, paper plates , bags, etc. I would still give them a 5 star review, just saying if they want to improve.

Family Adventure
We have a big family and comfortably all stayed at this house (11 total people). Check in was seamless and very straightforward. It’s a lovely house with lots of character but we experienced some issues with leaky sinks and ants in the kitchen... hopefully they fix before the next people join. All in all it was a okay place to stay.

Great house in old Louisville

Excellent host, clean house, comfortable beds and unique interior. All amenities provided. We loved our stay and highly recommend!

Family vacation.
The house was very nice, easy to park outside and perfect for all 10 of us. I would recommend getting the lights of the stairs going down working - it was totally black and very dangerous. Also, we recommend getting a new set of pans.... The handle fell off as we were cooking.

Worst experience with VRBO, ever!
I booked this house for a business trip with 5 other people. We arrived to find the house open and not cleaned, at all. I tried repeatedly to get ahold of the owner and got no help. The Support desk at VRBO did nothing to help as well. I was told I have to wait for the owner to issue a refund. He still hasn't called, emailed or texted. I had to scramble to find my party hotel rooms at 9pm at night.

Beautiful home
The home is beautiful with plenty of space for the 10 adults. Very nice that there are so many bathrooms. Kitchen is nicely laid out with plenty of counter space for all our food and drinks. I just wish there had been more chairs for the table.

The home was beautiful, clean and good location. Not well stocked with essentials.
This home was beautiful, large and clean. The kitchen had minimal essentials, light bulbs were burned out in several important locations. Several details were missing in the home to make our stay as expected.

House was beautiful
Since the pandemic has limited us, I decided to rent a house and host a small group of young men for my son's sweet 16. This house had everything. It definitely changed birthdays!!!!! Thank you for having us!

The House was great and clean the only thing was the shower downstairs in the game room would not turn off and water was in the floor but other than that everything else was great

Great Old Lou stay
One of the few modern-styled victorians to stay and loved the break from the typically chintzed-out Victorians. Plenty of hot water with excellent water pressure and the A/C was heaven. This property is located in a great walking court gem within Old Louisville near Central Park. Walking distance to Bucks & Old Louisville Tavern.
Some issues with door locks & had to replace some light bulbs. But overall, I really like this place and will stay here next time in Old Lou.

As shown but needs some detailing
Exceptional property with excellent beds and towel linens. Lacks easy access door locks, cleaning detail and fixture light bulbs burned out. Missing some basic kitchen cooking utensils. However we did enjoy our family visit here. PS grocery store locations should be posted at the house.

Wow! 604 Floral Terrace is an amazing property! It is gorgeous inside and out! We attended a conference in downtown Louisville and this location was perfect! It was like coming home each night! Amazing family trip
Our family of twelve enjoyed our stay! There was plenty of space and common space to come back together. Central Park was a short walk. The kids enjoyed playing in the side yard. The location was very convenient to everything we wanted to do. When we contacted the property owner he answered instantly and was very helpful. Highly recommend this place!

Great place for a large group
I was in town with four of my colleagues for a conference downtown. The house was very spacious and comfortable. Each person had their own room, with their own bed. No pull-out sofas or futons! The upper most loft room even had two beds, so there was one spare. The house was very nice, even if we didn't spend much time in it. The basement has some cool decor for an evening of lounging with friends. It was very easy to get downtown by car, with lots of easy parking once you get there. The only difficulties we had were needing to contact the property manager to get access to wifi, and finding a clothes iron for our formal clothes. The wifi issue could easily be resolved with a helpful "Welcome booklet," and, as we were told, the iron tends to (somewhat understandably) float around the house. These were very small things, and I would definitely stay here again. (Naturally if I had the group size to justify it. It is a fairly large house.)

Great space for a large group!
Property was recently remodeled and was great for my group of 12! The location was very convenient and plenty of space. It seemed to be a newer listing and there were a few corresponding kinks with the rental (no guide for the property at the house, so had to contact property manager for a number of questions - including door lock queries, internet), but overall it was a great stay and we would rent again
