The bathroom was unacceptable. The shower door was missing - the floor was full of water after a shower (very dangerous). The shower head is so old and clogged up the water was sparying all over the place. Towels are old and hard.

The bed we were sleeping on felt like it broken when u turning it makes a noise.infact that bed need to be thrown away the pool was not working so my kids could not enjoy what they saw in the pictures water leakage in my kids room.the shower had no cover the water was spilling out if the shower

I booked with the Summerview Guest Lodge in September for 17 December to 22 December 2022. It was advertised that I will have a ground floor unit with a double bed and couch, there will be a restaurant, bar, wifi, pool, etc. see attached. When I arrived the pool was green, I received an upstairs unit (poorly maintained – I have pictures), there was no wifi for 4 days, the restaurant and bar is closed. Someone was trying to get into our unit on the 1st knight. My daughter and I were scared. I complained to management. All they kept saying is that we are working on the pool and the wifi and apologies for the restaurant and bar being closed and the attempted break-in. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they will get the pool sorted as it does not take long for chemicals to work. They assured me they will sort the pool. Eventually the wifi was sorted 4 days later. So essentially I paid over R5000 to sit in a room and order food in for delivery. I did not get what I paid for. I did not get what was advertised. I eventually left on the 21st December 2022 @ 9.30am as I looked out the window and the pool was still green. I am highly discussed that this guesthouse advertises a fully equipped accommodation as I got nothing of the sort. The place is not kept up. Allot of things were broken in the unit. The grounds were Grose. My dogs kept picking up bones around the property. This place is suppose to be dog friendly. The manager and his mom has permanent dogs which live on the property, they poop all around the property and was not picked up. I was picking up their dog poop for the 1st few days. Eventually I stopped picking up anything. My male dog was throwing up from something that he picked up on the property. I was in tears when I was there. I was so unhappy. I want a refund.

Old and needs some TLC and a proper cleaning

The staff was very helpful. The stay was relaxing and pleasant.

The facilities on bookings.com did not coordinate with what was at the place. For example it said there was a coffee house on site, it was at a different hotel 2km away, as well as the restaurant. General maintenance at the place was underachieved. The aircon failed to cool down the area as needed and simple fixes like towel racks that are loose and broken. Signal anywhere at the place was bad.

It has a cold feeling. No carpets just the bare minimum.

Very dated furniture and everything looks really old :-( The shower did not have a door, hence the water was all over and messy. So we didn't have a good experience here. Please fix your shower. The aircon is situated at the very far end of one room and does not circulate heat The other room had no aircon or blankets so we were chilly.

Could just have been my room but the wifi was non-existent. A few maintenance issues that should/could quite easily have been addressed. The en-suite bathroom is windowed onto a staff area, they're not exactly the quietest at 06h00 in the morning when you're trying to sleep.
