The property is clean and has everything you need. The view is outstanding. If you are in decent condition you can do the walk to and from the beach or town, Cabs are easy to get, just ask Dulce or the guard and they will call one for you. The owner Jack is always available if you have questions but we mostly talked with the concierge ( Dulce) for info. My wife and I highly recommend this property. Dont miss out on the garlic Octopus at La Perla, rent an umbrella on the beach for 200 paso and enjoy the day. Dont forget the massage for 300 paso as well. Enjoy.

The apartment was beautiful and amazing views . The kitchen had everything you needed plus more . It was great for us as we cooked there a lot . Jack is a great host . Sent us some much information on the apartment and area and also a lovely welcome note with a beautiful bunch of flowers . Lovely touch. . The 2 pools were lovely. Just looking out over the ocean . Jack had informed me that there was some construction going on the night before I was travelling, so I didn't feel that I had enough time to look into other options and decided to stick with the plan in hopes that it wouldn't be too loud. That wasn't the case I contacted Jack, as well as the property manager (who said that there was no noise next to the pool, so I should go to the pool). Jack was very helpful and swiftly got my money refunded. We moved to Villa Mexicana on the beach. La Ropa beach is very beautiful. Once the construction has finished, I would recommend this condo for someone wanting a place for an extended stay. It is a steep hike up and down, so only for the able bodied. As I was only there for a week, I was much happier staying right on the beach.

We enjoyed a relaxing vacation at this very well equipped apartment

This property was STUNNING! The condo had everything we needed and more for a very comfortable stay. The location was excellent for easy access to the beach and places to eat. Be aware that the condo is situated on a hill so be prepared for a steep walk or just take a inexpensive cab ride back and forth. Jack was very responsive and gave detailed instructions and suggestions. All in all it was an excellent vacation. We were very sad to leave and hope to return again soon to this lovely property.

This condo was more than perfect, an easy walk to the pool, beach ( having the elevator was a bonus), Dulce , the concierge, housekeeping and the staff at the entrance to the resort were so nice and always accommodating. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely go back!

We stayed in Jack's lovely Casa Vista Grande condo for 7 nights later part of February. As all other reviews mention, the views from this condo are outstanding, great amenities in the condo, comfortable bed and nice kitchen to do some cooking. Also utilized the washer & dryer, worked great. Very, very quiet, everyone around us and the complex itself. There is the main road very nearby, but didn't create a lot of noise. The grounds around the complex and pools, lovely, lovely, very well maintained. Speaking of pool, we loved, loved, LOVED the larger infinity edge pool We were there every day and was never crowded...still dreaming of that pool! Great location, just 5 minute walk down to La Ropa beach (fantastic beach) and within walking distance to many other restaurants as well. We loved the walking up and down hill, but could easily be a problem with people with mobility issues, but we also on occasion took taxis up the hill to get back to condo after a long day out. Taxis very cheap and easy to get one. Dealing with Jack was a pleasure, and he answered all my questions promptly. Shout out to Antonio, on-site Concierge, he picked us up from the airport and he also pre-stocked the condo with grocery items for us, as well as helping make a few reservations here and there and calling us some taxis at night. Was a pleasure dealing with him and felt like we made a good friend by the time we left. A+ to Antonio!! This will be the 20th 5-STAR Rating for CASA VISTA GRANDE. We echo all the positive comments about Jack, the condo, the complex, the neighbours, the staff, the view and the location. My husband and I stayed for 16 days in December. Our first time to Zihuat and 1st time in condo vs 16 times in all inclusive resorts throughout mexico. I said, 'I don't want to cook and do laundry while on vacation' LOL..but I LOVED having daily access to laundry and to a full kitchen..it made our vacation. Dinners out of course and a couple of nights ordering pizza in, but nice to be able to fix a snack or make some nachos without having to go out. One night we had neighbours over for appies and bevies and another night we went to their place. Wouldn't do that in a hotel room. A couple of nights we even watched Netflix (nice touch to have access to movies if want a quiet night to relax). So much little detail that really made this place wonderful, including 2 infinity pools (maybe not such a little detail). It was very clean and had a cleaning lady come daily. Jack was awesome, provided us with really great information about the town as well as the rental. The rental is only a 5 minute walk to the beach which has great restaurants, bars, and watersports. You can also walk to town which is only 25/30 minute walking distance. We loved this property and will definitely recommend this beautiful place to our friends and family. We even looked at posted properties on this grounds because we are so convinced we want to move there!Thank you Jack! we had a wonderful time.

My family absolutely loved staying here. 10 days over Christmas with two teenagers was very comfortable for us. The en-suite bathroom is a nice added touch for the master bedroom. Well laid out condo. Air Conditioner was appreciated as we are not used to the humidity! The view from the condo is very breathtaking! Every morning we would sit on the deck to read and enjoy the view. Grounds are well maintained and very lush! We made use of the well stocked kitchen. Appreciated the water filtration system, filled up water bottles for the days activities. The affinity pools had umbrellas and chairs and had an amazing view of the bay. Books available to read and return. Our kids appreciated Wi-Fi and Internet access as did we, to wish our families a Merry Christmas! Location is as advertised. 10 minutes to the beach and a short cab ride to the center of Zihu! Eliezer, was in charge of guest services and was helpful with any questions we had. Great customer service! Our highlight was watching the sea turtles hatch and we had the opportunity to release them out to the ocean. Unbelievable! My husband and I took a cooking class with Monica (patio mexica.com to book in advance). She toured us to the markets (fresh fish, beef, vegetables, fruit, bread and spices) and gave us tips on what to buy. We prepared our own salsa and learned how to prepare an authentic Mexican meal. Wonderful experience! Our family is very active! Here is a few of our highlights: Kayaked at Barra de Potosi, Snorkeled at Las Gatas and Ixtapa Island. Fishing with "Moses" and the fish that we caught were then prepared for a fresh lunch. Zip-lined at Ixtapa. Sunset cruise on the Picante. Parasailed, Jet-skied, and rode the waves on La Ropa Beach. Restaurants we loved: Il Mare, Elvira's, La Vita e' Bella (spinach ravioli) La Pearla, Jungle Pizza, and Bandidos (has TSN sports). As I mentioned, accommodations were perfect for our family. Communication with condo owner was via e-mail with easy payment transactions. On our next trip to Zihu, this condo will be our first choice! Thank-You Jack!

I LOVED staying here -- both the condo and the location. The condo grounds were stunning and very well maintained, and the on-site security and grounds staff were incredibly friendly; I felt safe and secure the entire month I stayed here. The condo had everything we needed, and was very well maintained. Really appreciated the water filtration system installed, allowing me to drink tap water without worry. Jack checked in a few times over the month via email to make sure I was satisfied, serviced and everything about our stay was going well there. iPhone Home speaker too. Location is great -- about a mile walk to town, about 1/4 mi down to Playa de Ropa, complete with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean from the condo. It is very hilly, which I happen to love. Great exercise. If you don't like walking the hill, there are many options from bus to frequent taxis (seemed like a taxi passed every 1-2 minutes). Activity-wise -- the sunset cruise for $60 USD on the catamaran Picante was well worth it-- great captain, staff, small dinner and cocktails were great too. Not nearly as touristy of an activity as I expected. Make reservations to ensure they are running that night (they must at least have 30+ signed up). I also kayaked through mangroves near the airport, at Barra de Potosi. You can take the bus on the highway, tell the driver you are going to Barra de Potosi. they'll drop you on the side of the road you need to take where you'll catch a more informal "taxi" (back of pickup truck) to the end of the road (several miles). You can also take a cab for about $30-$40 USD. You'll find a 2x2 block village followed by 4-6 beach huts at the end of the road that are restaurants/kayak rental places. Most kayak rentals are run by Spanish speaking only owners/families. Rent from them. I did not kayak with a guide, but am a sea kayaker so know what I'm doing w equipment. I went with a local woman from Zihuatenejo that I met, who knew where to go. Stay along the shoreline, taking you past mangroves & eventually "entrances" into more mangroves (almost like a maze; there's really only one way in/out so you dont get lost). Unbelievable birds -- rosetta spoonbills, egrets, white pelicans, cranes, herons -- everywhere!!!! super cool. went twice. Other notable: Cooking School by Monica. $35 USD. Book in advance. Worth it. Walking to town, its about 1/6 mi past Hotel Irma, down the hill a bit on right. Sign out front at her restaurant, Patio Mexicana.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. We found the condo to be everyting it was advertised to be plus some. The beach at Playa La Ropa was great and we spent lots of time under the umbrellas at La Perla. we celebrated my wife's 75th birthday a Kau Kan and the meal was great. We loved Banditos and had a ball at La Papa Loca. The bottom line is that we had a wonderful time and recommend the Condo to everyone.

Three of us stayed in this wonderful condo beginning 3/9/12. Two in the master bedroom and one in the 2nd bedroom located behind the curved sofa in the photos. The 2nd bedroom is one step up from the main level and remains private at night behind a pair of sliding doors. Both bathrooms are lovely. The photos posted for this condo are an accurate picture of how beautiful it is. We walked a few times down to La Ropa beach and also into downtown Zihua. Walks are moderately brisk but not too difficult. DO exercise caution when crossing the road at the bottom of the hill where the condo is located because traffic zips by at a good clip. The view from the condo is very nice and includes some roof tops and small sections of the roadway below the condo. However, all the condos and residences on this side of the road would have similar views. Views of the roof tops and roadway had no negative effect on our stay as they did not block views of the bay or Las Gatas Beach across the bay. There is not a view of La Ropa beach from the condo. Saw and heard lots of birds including Chachalacas walking on tree branches and trails directly behind the condo. I was able to get some great pictures. We very much enjoyed sitting in the bar/breezeway area overlooking the pool areas. Indeed there is a gentle breeze that blows through the shaded breezeway - quite nice for those who do not want to be directly in the sun. Can't say enough about how fantastic our visit to Zihua was. We were fortunate enough to be in town during the annual Carnival Celebration. In the downtown basketball court/ town square were kiddie rides, lots of food vendors, games and stage performances with a multitude of dancers in colorful costumes! The variety and prices of goods in the shops in Zihua and Ixtapa beat the shops we've visited in Playa del Carmen and Cancun. Here's a fun thing to do - have a taxi take you to the correct bus depot to catch a bus to Barra de Potosi beach. The bus will drop you off at a roadside stop where you then pay a few dollars to ride in the back of a canvas-covered pick-up truck for the final leg to the beach. At the beach are thatch-covered areas with tables where you can buy a cold brew, a plate of nachos or even lunch.This trip made for a memorable and delightful day!! After our day trip we were happy to return to our comfy and cool condo to watch the sun sink behind the hills of Zihua. Our vacation was magical!

"MOST EXCELLENT" Describes our stay at Casa Vista Grande. This place is great, and unlike some other units, the unit is bright and airy and the views will take your breath away due to the windows that span the front of the condo The grounds and pools are incredible so clean and well maintained and all the many flowers...beautiful So this is the place to go if your tired of the, "all inclusive", mega resorts where your hard pressed to even have an awareness that your in Mexico. My last trip was my 5th trip to Zihau and the FOURTH STAY in Jack's Casa Vista Grande. I've been home for a week and already planning our return. It's a short walk to the beach and many great restaurants. For us a great meal on the beach, a cold beer, and toes in the sand is absolutely the best!! Lot's to do or do nothing it's all good!! Thanks Jack for another great vacation.

This was our second year in this condo. The location is convenient to restaurants, La Ropa beach, shopping, the center of town. The condo is comfortable, tastefully furnished and decorated. It is clean and well-maintained. If you like to cook, the kitchen is well equipped to do so. Views of the bay from the master bedroom and living room are lovely and serene. We enjoyed sipping wine while watching the sunset from the balcony each evening. The owner is very responsive. He provides a detailed information sheet. The on site concierge is helpful. The security guards are friendly. The maid service is much appreciated. The amenities described are available. The landscaping and infinity pools are an added bonus. As others have mentioned, the path to the road is steep but inexpensive taxis are available if needed. We went on several tours with a guide, Juan Carlos, whom we would recommend. Overall we enjoy Zihua. It is small enough to negotiate, there are many good restaurants, we feel safe, the weather is perfect, and the setting is beautiful. We plan to return next year.

All I can say is my wife and I loved the condo. Eleazar was fantastic and speaks great english and was always helpful. Also met three other owners at the pool. All were friendly and full of helpful advice. And once we understood the bus operation it was very easy to get around and much cheaper than the taxis. For coffee we found a great little place in Zithuatanejo called Zen Wishes. The owner was fabulous and the coffee was delicous

All I can say is WOW! This place is just as fantastic as the photos! Zijua is a beautiful place to visit, the weather was phenomenal (in the 80s and sunny all week), and the two infinity pools give you a lovely birdseye view of the Playa La Ropa beach. All of the staff is helpful and friendly, and the grounds are immaculate. Taxis take no time to show up, and for 50 pesos (around $5) you can go just about anywhere in Zijua. Don't miss Playa las Gatas beach for wonderful snorkeling. Jack is awesome and gives great tips about local restaurants, where to go, and what not to miss. I will definitely go back!

My family recently stayed in Casa Vista Grande and this was our second trip to Zihua but our first stay at La Casa Que Ve al Mar. We absolutely loved our accommodations! The condo is as beautiful as it appears in the photos! The views are incredible and the pools are sublime! Everyone we dealt with at the condo (and Jack the owner via email) were fantastic. Checking in was quick and smooth, Rosalinda the housekeeper was fantastic and the security guards at the gate were very helpful with getting us taxis at any time of the day or night. Although the condo is up a steep hill, the local centro bus stopped at the condo driveway to take us into town for about $2 for a family of 4. We can recommend this condo wholeheartedly!

We stayed the last week of January in this condo and had the most wonderful time. The view from the balcony in the morning as day breaks, watching the village come alive while you drink your coffee and nibble on toast and fresh fruit (did this every day). The fun we had just shopping for groceries and liquor at the large grocery store, a chore we were not looking forward to but ending up to be fun. The kitchen area in the condo has everything you need, we used the juicer everyday for cocktails (works great). We ate out every evening, our meals ranged from $80 to $130 this included a bottle of wine each nite,very reasonable for 3 people.Tangos was our favourite restaurant. The master bedroom with ensuite was fabulous.You can open the glass doors at night and keep the screened doors closed to allow a cool breeze and the soothing crash of the surf to lull you to sleep. The beds are very comfy and the linens are high end. The ensuite has a large shower and gorgeous countertop and sink.Lots of storage in the closet along with a safe. La Ropa beach is great place to spend your afternoons.Swimming, shell hunting, long walks or just catching some rays with that cold drink in your hands. We felt safe the entire time we were there. We walked to the restaurants in the evenings and to the beach in the mornings,We walked around down town to do our banking and also to do some shopping. We do not have one bad thing to say about the way we were treated by anybody, only praise. We are already planning our return visit next year (2 weeks next year 1 is way to short). Can"t wait.
