The welcome box (Champagne, whiskey, hot chocolate, cakes, etc.) exceeded our expectations. Riverside was so cosy and comfortable, fitted with lovely furniture and paintings. The bathroom was very spacious and the rainforest shower was superb. We couldn't fault this accommodation and would gladly recommend it to others. The views from the living room were stunning and included mountains and forests.

The road up to the accommodation was a bit tricky but you cant get the views without being a little off the beaten track.

The fixtures and fittings were of an excellent quality. The owner had paid great attention to detail. Very comfortable bed, sufficient crockery and stuff in the kitchen and a beautiful welcome pack which included champagne (proper)! The view from the property was to die for especially from the breakfast/dining table when eating. There was even a drawer of essentials should one have forgotten toothpaste/razor etc.

I would recommend the kitchen should have tin foil, shrink wrap and a set of oven gloves. Apart from these minor requirements there is nothing amiss about this property.

We loved absolutely everything! The place is amazing! super cozy, made me and my wife feel like we were at home. Extremely clean, complete kitchen, amazing shower! The communication with Christie was fantastic. We will definitely stay there again when we are back in Skye!

Absolutely beautiful, you really need to book this when you stay on the island. Very nice owners, very cosy rooms, soooo incredibly clean and such a great few, we loved it!! And we lovvvved the coffee and the eggs :)

Well equipped, warm and comfortable. The welcome pack was generous and basic provisions were in place, including home laid eggs. Dressing gowns and slippers were much appreciated as we had to spend more time indoors than planned due to some very wet weather.

Everything was truly perfect the place is gorgeous and perfectly located for visiting the Isle, wonderfully stylish and cosy place to come back to after hikes. The hosts were so friendly and kind and even gave us fresh eggs from their chickens. Would recommend 100% stay here it's magical.

From the minute we booked the Riverside Cottage, we were contacted by the owner Christie re our booking and arrangements for our arrival. Christie and his wife were accommodating and looked after us from when we arrived. The property is beautiful and Christie made us feel at home whilst stocking up on freshly laid eggs, milk, biscuits and even a bottle of Prosecco as a welcome. It was immaculate and Christie had left out loads of wee extras/essentials for us incase we forgot anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riverside Cottage and will defo be back again to explore the Isle of Skye and will be going back to the same property. My wife wanted to take their shower home with us lol, great fixtures and fittings and very cosy. Five star rating at a three star cost!!!

There’s absolutely nothing everything was perfect

The host was really welcoming and the location is excellent. There are beautiful views from the windows which make breakfast time extra special. It was even possible to get a clear view of the milky way at night when the clouds allowed.

EVERYTHING! I nearly didn't come home, everything was perfect. The location was ideal, the chalet itself was something id want to build myself.

Everything about this property is brilliant! :-) beautifully decorated, thoughtful touches throughout. All the luxury of a boutique hotel with the convenience and privacy of a self-catering property. Finished to the highest standard. Really sad to leave!

All the extra detail. Fresh eggs left on the door step in the morning. Hamper of prosecvo, chocolates and other treats. Beautiful view of a forest and the sound of the river. Decorated beautifully. Friendly and helpful owners. Excellent WiFi and use of Netflix and Prime to watch a film at the end of the evening. Well situated for walks and local attractions including only 7 miles from the Edinbane Inn for scrumptious food ... Top Tip book a table before you visit. Would definitely love to stay again if we were up this way.

Such a lovely little chalet! It instantly felt like home and the interior design is well-thought, practical and stylish! We loved it so much that we could literally move in permanently:-) Spotless clean and well-located. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone without the smallest hesitation! Attention to details in the property, amazing shower, all you need in the kitchen. Good Firestick and Sky TV service matched by excellent WiFi for streaming. Lovely personal touches and 'gifts' on arrival. Comfortable sofa and bed.

Can't think of anything we didn't like. Weather and midges are beyond the control of the landlord!

The location was lovely with a river running past the end of the balcony and great views. The property was bigger than expected with plenty of room, clean and comfortable

Well placed for visiting lots of places of interest around the island. Property is very well appointed with all home comforts and spotlessly clean. Hosts were warm and friendly and gave us lots of information. Very welcoming.

Where do I even start?! It’s fantastic location and it has absolutely gorgeous views everywhere you look!! My partner and I stayed here for his birthday 3 nights and we couldn’t have found a better spot to stay! The big king bed was so comfortable that it took a while just to get out of it in the morning. Kitchen is big, with absolutely everything what you need and toilet is great as well!! Balcony and the views are just like you are in the paradise! That definitely topped it all off! Location is amazing, just 10min from Portee and parking is large and just in front of accommodation. Owner is really lovely, he will let you know anything what you ask and give you a good tips. He prepare fresh eggs and bottle of prosecco for us as well! Overall, this stay was unreal. I have already recommended the Riverside to everyone I know and we will definitely be back soon!!
