I liked that it was a family type of accommodation.

So I booked the accommodation online through booking.com for my sister and her family to stay at the accommodation, as my sister and her family were travelling from a far. I had my own home to go to with my own children. When i took my sister and her family to the accommodation check in the staff had charged them $100 each for two rooms as bond, that was paid in cash and then at check out, they had complained about a small little water spill on the carpet (that was an accidental spill in one of the rooms) and didn't want to give back the bond money and wanted to keep the $200 bond. My sister had managed to get the bond money back from them as they paid in cash and then came to find out that they had BLACKLISTED MY NAME at the accommodation AND ON TOP OF THAT they had ACCUSED ME of not being responsible for my children and complained that we was letting them running around wild without supervision as this complaint they had made was NOT TRUE because my children and I did not stay at the accommodation and MY SISTERS CHILDREN IS ALWAYS WITH AN ADULT when they were visiting each other's rooms. At this point, we also felt they were involving our children and using them as an EXCUSE. My family and I are people of colour, and we had found that we were being mistreated. I have never known the accommodation had started charging for bond as they never did before. My sister had asked to speak with the manager and they guy had said that he was the manager for that day. We had felt so mistreated that they had been unreasonable and discriminating against my children, my sister and her children, and inculding myself.

The facilities are fantastic, with 3 pools, 2 restaurants and a laundry, it’s great for families. This is my top choice to stay when in Cairns.

I miss the buffet breakfast! I hope you bring it back before our next visit.

Have 3 different swimming pools with different features. All very nicely maintained. The night when we got there was late but the receptionist helped us get the restaurants to wait for us to arrive and take our order before they closed at 8:30pm. Receptionist was friendly and check out was fast. It feels as if we stayed in the rainforest. Nice experience.

Nothing major, Basic room standard but good value for money.

Everything was awesome loved how close the pool was to the room love going back to our room being cleaned and having fresh towels, the resort is perfect for family so much to do I didn't get the chance to do at the resort due to my sons Mrt East Basketball comp. But will be back again

the facilities, the tranquility and everything all in one place , I enjoyed the restaurant on site the room was beautiful functional and bed was really comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, I appreciated having washing facilities 24 hour room service staff were very helpful

Love the workers very friendly and kids enjoyed their stayed especially the pools

Staff were amazing. Room was clean but dated. However we just wanted a bed so suited us fine. Food and Pizza were amazing.

The resort style pool Restuarant made for a relaxing social area to wind down at the end of the day.

Unfortunately there was some construction at the time of my stay. I bit noisy but it couldn't be helped.

I loved the pool, the balcony and the vieuw from our room. Plenty options around the resort for eating too. A few vending machines for quick snacks, good breakfast and dinner menu. Very pretty and peacefull.

It was very cold in our room and the sheets were thin. Not sure if the extra blankets that we found in the cupboard were washed. When we had breakfast here I got served a frozen hash brown. However I informed kitchen staff and they kindly replaced it for me.

Possibly the worlds worst shower. Money obviously spent upgrading the rooms to have a shower that dribbled out. Restaurant had nice food to be fair but disappointed no notice the pizza place was closed. Waiting times for food bordering on 45 minutes (which has still not improved from last time) which is a struggle with 3 young kids. Not massively impressed to be told that the only place we could eat our ordered in Pizzas on night 2 was the lobby... Appreciate that ordering in goes against the inhouse restaurant but in a resort style hotel where I have spent close to $150 on night one and continuing to support the bar both nights we could not eat it around the pool area or near the pool area away from the restaurant.

Overall all are excellent.

Cleanliness, Carpets, Bathroom, smell in room, Pool, Only 1 restaurant functioning in resort with no good eating outlet nearby. Long wait at restaurant and less variety of food.

I liked the frog I saw when I was in the pool. It climbed up my arm.

I didn't like the news I watched on the television there about the people in Melbourne who were running over cyclists. Truly horrible horrible people live in this world. I do hope they are caught and serve a sentence for there crimes and became properly rehabilitated and when they get out become outstanding members of society and find good jobs. Also a gecko got into the room one night and my wife woke me up and asked me to get it out. I was tired so I went back to sleep and the gecko didn't harm anyone which was good.

I liked the cafe by the pool, with pool towels generally available. Also liked the modern room design (i think it was a premium room). The pool was fairly clean and although it was showing its age a bit, it was a super place to swim and relax after a series of long flights back from Europe - the kids had a blast in the pool and small waterslide!

I didnt like pricing at the poolside cafe (Flamingo cafe). It was certainly on the upper end of pricing compared to other beautiful venues with great food such as the nearby botanic gardens cafe (probably 25-30% cheaper). However the convenience and capacity for the lids to have a swim around mealtime convinced us to pay the additional meal prices this time. Also the toom only has limited places to hand bath towels for drying. Fine for 2 but with a family of four, it didnt work, especially as the towels take ages to dry in the tropical humidity.

The pools were spread out which meant that you could always find a quiet spot if you didn’t want to be around other people. The refurbishment of the rooms has been done well. Very spacious bathroom and bedroom areas.

As the building is quite old some of our doors didn’t open as smoothly as they could. Kids had trouble opening the bathroom door and the patio door would get stuck on the runner. There’s no breakfast facilities in the rooms (unless you are in a studio room). No toaster, no microwave. Not everyone can afford to eat at the buffet or the cafe for every meal. Kids were disappointed that the mini golf & pedal karts weren’t open any day we were there “due to the weather”……. There were days when the weather was absolutely perfect - sunshine and no clouds. Other days it was raining.

The pools are great, location is a bit far out but the bus is really easy and regular which is fab. The staff are clear and friendly, and the restaurant is affordable and does really good food.

The room didn't have a single hook in it, it would have been great to have a few for drying items, in the bathroom and wardrobe and on the back of the door perhaps. One of the pools could be adult only, and have a few more loungers, but that's okay too.

It was such a great spot for a family holiday. Great facilities for the kids and the pools are amazing! the food from the cafe by the pool was amazing and the drink choice for the adults was great! Friendly staff and great location. We will definitely be back.

Some of the kids meals were a bit pricey.

Pool facilities, bar/dining facilities, tidy rooms. Kids loved the cave, slides and waterfalls. The gardens on site were also lovely and well maintained.
