Good big room

Comfortable, clean and, above all, quiet!

Wifi was a bit weak but no big deal.

A warm Kiwi welcome from the owner Dale sets you up for a good stay, and FRESH milk is provided for that well needed cuppa! Location is spot on, just as you come into the main st in town and a five minute walk to the thermal pools. The grounds are have beautiful gardens, and it’s a quick walk to some some nice forest treks.

The rooms are clean and tidy, but the motel is tired and needs some love.

Shower head dripped constantly, loud when trying to sleep, but we sorted easy enough putting a towel under it.

Check in was great heater on everything we need was there. Given tips on great places to eat.

The motel was close to town, everything was clean and tidy and Dale the owner was most helpful.

Closeness to town

A great location within a few minutes walk of the hot pools and excellent restaurants and cafe. Easy to find, and very helpful and generous host. I rang with a query the day before we travelled and was impressed with a very warm and relaxed response, Old-fashioned Kiwi hospitality at its best. The whole stay was very enjoyable and excellent value for money. A family friendly site that we would use again. Highly recommended. An excellent base to explore Hanmer and the surrounding areas.

A greater range of teabag flavours would be nice, but really not that important with cafes and restaurants 2 minutes away.
