Mandy and Carl are great hosts. The location is great for Cairns with a great beach with wonderful sunrises just a couple of mins away. Lovely grounds

The rooms were well fitted out, clean and comfortable. Air conditioning and fans kept it very cool and pleasant. A very relaxing environment. Pool area is lovely. Hosts Carl & Mandy were friendly and welcoming.

It was a shame the restaurant was closed during our stay, as having breakfast onsite was one of the main reasons we chose this property. The solar heating for the pool was perhaps a little too efficient - it was very hot and humid when we were there so the pool would have been more refreshing if it was a bit cooler.

location , beach thank you Carl and Mandy Boerboom & dear Tomas & the staff in the restaurant whom made us so welcomed, we had a very warm & nice chat with Carl & Mandy when we had just arrived, they treat you like a friend & helped us with our luggages which wasn’t available at the last three places we stayed in at cairns ! there were freshly cut flowers in the room & the bathroom , amazing view of the rainforest with birds singing ,the best location in yorkeys knob ,the size of balcony,the plantation around the pool , friendly local people ,…

the bed weren’t comfortable at all ! also there was no mirror in the room which making it hard to get ready in the morning with three people , the door/certain partition between living room & the bedroom wasn’t closing

A beautiful spacious apartment, very well set out with all the comforts of home. In a lovely quiet area which was ideal for relaxing. The beautiful beach was accessed via a short walk, with a lovely seating area to chill and relax. It is run by a lovely couple who was most helpful.

The apartment was spacious, clean, very well equipped, had a balcony with a nice view on the pool and greenery and free parking in the basement that was easily accessible with a lift. We were leaving the apartment very early every morning, so unfortunately did not have the opportunity to have the breakfast which started at 8 a.m. but the restaurant looked really nice and wish we had a chance to try it. The location was great for exploting the area, short drive from Cairns airport or port and Palm cove and not so far from Port Douiglas or Daintree rainforest.

Being close to the airpot, there was a bit of noise from the planes sometmes.

Nice clean apartment with parking lift and close to the beach (if you went past the pool!) Lots of little extras.

Some might find the lack of a dishwasher and an air fryer in place of an oven to be a problem. We thought the bed needs replacing.

We loved our stay at Golden Sands Beachfront Resort. Mandy and Carl were super friendly and accommodating. They had great communication with us from time of booking to check out. Pool and restaurant on the property are great, close to beach, park and shops. Would highly recommend staying here. We can't wait to return

Mandy and her husband (wish I caught his name) were very kind and accommodating. Their relaxed yet enthusiastic approach was greatly appreciated. The room was tastful, bright and cool. We had everything we needed in the room, however for 3 adults, the unit we stayed in was a little cosy but for 3 nights absolutely fine (little privacy between pull out sofa bed and main bedroom space) The grounds were well cared for, clean and the swimming pool area is beautiful and calming. Really great service and food at the Cafe next door. Would recommend this place!! Safe secure car park. Very little disruptive noise. It's raining back in Adelaide, would return immediately if we could. Thanks again Mandy and smiling husband (sorry for not catching your name)

Great location, big clean apartment, bed comfy, kitchen had everything we needed and made good use of the washing machine, loved the heated pool.

The toilet flushing system was hard to use at times, good idea to want to save water when u can get it to work first time.

Good sized unit with car parking underneath.

Decor and style not modern, dated bathroom and shower. Mattress too soft.
