Their fried rice is delicious . The yak steak and yak burger were also equally good. They have ginger tea at all times for you to drink.

EVERYTHING about Bodhi Inn is wonderful! Staff, food, facilities, location, rooms, decor, bed comfort... food! The staff will go above and beyond to help out. I had boxes of camping gear shipped prior to my arrival and they held it securely for me. I had difficulty finding another shipping company that would delivery to my next location which was very remote, and the guy that runs the front desk helped me call various companies, and even got on his e-bike and drove to one of the companies to talk to them personally. When the courier arrived he and his staff helped again! Then he helped me find Tibetan food at the local market and once again got on his e-bike to go pick up yak butter for me, to make sure I had the best quality! The Inn is beautifully decorated with authentic Tibetan artwork. The location just inside the perimeter Old Town is perfect because there no street traffic noise, nor is there too much tourist noise since it is not directly in the center of Old Town (but only about 400m from the center). It's less than a 5-min. walk to the giant prayer wheel and center courtyard wher you can enjoy Tibetan dance every night! And the food, OMG! The pakoras are the best I've had on 3 continents, including India! Every item is made fresh, and it is worth the wait! Momos, curry, Tibetan tanthuk (hand-pulled noodles), and Tibetan breakfast...Excellent cook! The hotel is spotlessly clean, which is unusual for China (but this Inn is Tibetan-owned and run, which makes all the difference). Remember hello is "Tashi Delek" in Tibetan areas, not "Ni Hao". Beds are very, very comfortable with heated mattress-toppers. There's a little gym upstairs. On of the BEST aspects is that no smoking is allowed anywhere on the premises!
