The site was a mess, there was rubbish from an overflowing bin spread around a nearby chalet, which I eventually cleared up myself.

The blind in the kitchen was broken/ non existent, so could not be drawn at night. There were more vehicles, campervans etc parked around the site than I expected. There was an ambulance parked nearby, which was used in the night so there was he sound of car doors banging.

Peace and quiet, completely secluded and safe for our cat. Warm and comfortable property.

The likes were the Firepit on the veranda, well decorated and comfortable and nearly all amenities were there. Views were nice, really quiet and felt relatively safe.

Dislikes hosts was very brief on the phone and mentioned someone on site would explain everything, person on site didn’t explain basics, i.I.e how to exit the gated exit, luckily he was on site when we trying to leave. The lodge was not ready at 6pm when we got there, still being cleaned, however check in was 3pm. Place Needs a a little updating, blinds/outdoor plugs not working. However would stay again

The location and views from stable lodge were fabulous. It was wonderful to sit on the porch and take in the beautiful surroundings. The grounds keeper Dave was really helpful and friendly. He gave us lots of information on the surrounding area and good walks to do. He also allowed my son to have a ride in the jeep buggy which my son really enjoyed. It was lovely to feed the resident horse Willow which both my boys loved. We will definitely be returning to visit again soon.

If there was one thing and only because it was something my son picked up on - he would have liked to be able to watch the DVD's he brought but there was no DVD player. The TV was good though as we found films to watch on one of the many channels.

The location is amazing, great if you have dogs as it’s on the footpath to access shotover. Comfy, all the items that are needed are provided. The pressure wasn’t great on the shower but it was warm, heating was good and the log burner was a nice feature.

Having no key to the front door. We had to put any valuables into our car if we took the dogs out. It was fine at night as we could flick the door latch. Messaged the owner but got no response.

Wonderful, relaxing stay! We had the perfect mini break. Host was so welcoming and helpful. With beautiful views and horses in the field it was perfect!
