We really enjoyed the choices for the breakfasts and the food was delicious. We are traveling with a very picky teenager and Posada del Arte was happy to try to accommodate. On the breakfast, we especially recommend the omlettes and huevos rancheros. Their veggie burger is really good for lunch! The location is also good-- close to the waterfalls and Banos and very walkable to the squares, activities and restaurants.

Can't find anything we did not like. Very casual environment with lots of art featuring Ecuadorian artists. The Posada is really an art gallery with rooms. The staff are very service minded and happy to accommodate requests. For example, I bought some aloe vera in leaf form and needed to scrape it out of put it in a container. Karl, the Innkeeper, found me a couple easy travel type plastic containers that we could recycle for use

Amazing breakfast! Beds felt brand new, staff was very nice and helpful. Interior garden is absolutely beautiful and nicely decorated. Nice view of the mountains and waterfall. We loved our stay!

Loved this place to stay at. Colorful with lots to see inside. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast is good & fresh. Karl is a relaxed guy and gave us some good tips for tours etc.. We did the zip-lining which was the best company he advised. We felt very secure ! We had good bikes for our 'Rutas de las Cascadas' and the publique termas (a must try) is around the corner. So thank you Karl for all.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! The posada has charming owners and staff, beautiful architecture and gardens, comfortable accomodations, wonderful views, and delicious food. It provides sanctuary in a relatively quiet corner of a bustling tourist town.

The place was very nice and well located,, our room had views to the waterfalls which made it even better! Food is very good and owners Karl and Pricila were excellent hosts! Would go back there!

La Posada del Arte is owned/run by a wonderful couple! Their hospitality was exceptional. This hostal was beautifully maintained. The courtyard was very inviting, with beautiful plants, artwork and flowers. On our first night there, we were sitting outside at one of the tables chatting, eating snacks and drinking wine and beer. Carl, the owner, came out to see if we needed anything. We asked about the watertfall route. Carl nodded, left and came back out with the map and a beer!! He sat and shared so many interesting things about the area. What a wonderul evening. Our room was large, with comfy beds. The breakfast was wonderful-coffee, fresh bread from the local panaderia, fresh squeezed juice and omelets custom made. After a day of hiking some of the waterfalls, we opted to eat at the hostal, rather than go into the town. It was a terrific decision; dinner did NOT disappoint.! Plenty of food and delicious. If you are travelling to Banos, I highly recommend satying at La Posada del Arte. On a scale of 1 to 10, it rates a 10++.

La Posada del Arte is a great place to stay. The hotel is full of pieces of art that are being sold. The location is excellent. It is just a 10 minutes walk to the Cathedral and only 150 meters to the hotsprings. My room had a nice view on the waterfall. The matras was very comfortable and the whole accomodation was very clean. The meals (breakfast and dinners) were excellent and reasonably priced. The owner arranged a lovely daytour for me and some other guests. A hike to the waterfall, beautiful views were part of this. There was a great interaction between the guests coming from different countries. The owners did everything to make my stay at Pasado del Arte to be a memorable experience.

Breakfast was wonderful, staff was friendly and welcoming, view was incredible, beds were comfy, there was really interesting and beautiful local art everywhere, they had craft beers in the fridge, I have nothing bad to say!

Seldom does it happen that what I find is better than what I expected. The Posada del Arte is one of these places. Room V1 was spacious, with a little tasteful patio including a hammock in the shade. The beds were comfortable and I had the bath I had requested. Wonderful breakfast! The quietness and vicinity to the thermal baths!

Carl and Priscilla are gracious and accommodating host. My room was spacious and comfortable. Lovely garden courtyard. Close to everything, food, shops and the spa is right next door with a view of the waterfall from my room.
