Location is great because it is approx 10mins to most restaurants, clubs and beaches on the Island. Staff are amazing, they go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay, from reception to room service. All are so attentive and helpful. Breakfast is great too, with option to have breakfast in bed!

However, although overall cleanliness is good in comparison to other hotels I stayed on the Island, it was clear that they hadn't done any renovations in a while, I stayed in 3 different rooms across my stay and the rooms could do with a serious refresh to the walls and sanitary-ware and then it would be perfect. Also, the hotel is right next door to Library Club and I am a light sleeper, from my room I could hear loud music most nights.

No universal sockets in the rooms making it difficult for international travelers to charge their devices. When we complained to the lobby, the receptionist said “there’s nothing we can do for you because previous guests took our universal charging adaptors and we ran out, so we no longer give guests, the best we can do for you is to charge your devices for you in the lobby”. My fiancé and I have several devices and we can’t leave them all charging in the lobby, infuriated at this point, we demanded to speak to the manager who pretty much echoed the words of his receptionist, I was notably and visibly upset for good reason after the manager asked us to charge our devices in the lobby because there’s nothing they can do for us, he said he would’ve helped but due to my anger and tone (after several frustrating hours of requesting for a simple charging adaptor), he wouldn’t help us. After about 20 minutes of back and forth and explaining how we’ve been treated very poorly, he offered to let us use his universal charging extension for our stay. We thanked him and returned it back before checking it out. As beautiful and convenient as this hotel is, my experience interacting with the staff was very very very poor and they need to work on customer service.

The room design is so beautiful, the bathroom is modern and very practical, the staffs were so nice and helpful all the time. They had lovely choice of breakfast and the food tasted really good and the location is absolutely fantastic.

There wasn’t enough space for my luggages in the room, so it was a bit of a struggle for me.

We have had to leave the white orchid hotel urgently and shorten our stay. This is due to an unpleasant reception from the hotel staff and increase to their daily rate contrary to what was booked through this platform. In addition, our safety was jeopardised due to the hotel room handle falling off and having no door handle for several hours being lied to that they’re coming to fix it. A day was lost for this inconvenience. We were then moved to another room. Upon arrival to this room we were greeted with an offensive, pungent urine odour coming from the bathroom. The smell was confirmed after I made the management come smell it for themselves by the receptionist and hotel manger. They did not move us to another room again due to lack of availability. We were then moved back to the first room later as the handle was finally adjusted. This does not begin to explain the rudeness and unfriendliness displayed by the hotel staff. We had to keep packing and unpacking. The final straw was when I came back to my room and found my bag locks had been tampered with by someone trying to gain access. I had to leave the hotel urgently ang cancel my booking as I knew staff would not listen and I could b complaining to the perpetrator. SAVE YOURSELVES. This was HELL

I was made to wait while the Receptionist confirmed my payment with the Accounts staff; I feel this could have been sorted internally long before my arrival (since the payment was made almost a week before my arrival).
