Lovely host. Quiet room which we requested

We got there for first check in time of 4. No heating on until 6 pm! Then went off at 8 am 🥶. There was a heater in the room but by the time it was hot we were on our way out for supper. I would prefer a cool room during the night, but warm when moving around and getting showers etc We weren’t offered breakfast when we checked in which was probably our fault …. we should have thought but we’re going out to meet friends so forgot to check. A shame as the breakfasts had good reviews.

The member of staff we met was excellent.

The lady owner was so kind and very welcoming. The family room we had was perfect.

The Mountview is a traditional b & b staff customer customer service skills were excellent. I was made to feel very welcome. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Didn't have any problems finding Mountview using the Google maps. My room didn't have a shower but did have a sink. The shower was on the second floor. They provided me with a dressing gown. Breakfast was terrific. Walking into Scarborough town centre would take you about 25 minutes. I attended the gold cup at Olivers Mount for the racing over the weekend of 16/9 - 18/9. The location is ideal for road racing fans attending Olivers Mount 10 minutes by driving or 20 - 30 minutes walking there . No regrets about staying at the Mountview

Ces the land lady excellent comfortable bed. Toilet BRUSH immaculate.free parking outside the front door. Breakfast very good. Excellent stay👍😁

Breakfast was very good. Very tasty and the service was second to none. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again if staying at Scarborough.

Only one small thing. When I was using the hand basin I was concerned that I was causing folks in neighbouring rooms discomfort because the sink waste is gargling when it’s draining.

The landlady was lovely, very helpful. Room was clean. Tea & coffee in the room.

Bedroom window doesn't open. Shower was extremely hot and couldn't turn it down. TV reception was poor. Breakfast was tasty but a bit rushed - the cooked food arrived as I was starting to eat my cornflakes. No fresh fruit with breakfast. Quite far out of the town centre and Scarborough's very hilly.

Warm welcome clean through out nice room plenty of tea coffee milk and biscuits in the room The breakfast was probably the best I have had value for money and a fantastic choice as well as the breakfast to much to list.

There was no where in the shower to put your soap and shampoo on, plenty room for a tray or shelf The chair In the room is more for sitting at a table rather than sitting on for a long time time to check in 4oclok was to long good job the weather was nice.

The breakfast was cooked to perfection, Room was lovely and clean, location was perfect for travelling around, staff was so attentive, we would definitely recommend to anyone who was thinking of going to Scarborough.

The only thing we felt could have been better was more free plug sockets.

I knew I was sharing a bathroom, I was not told that the bathroom was a flight and a half of stairs away from my room. This had accessibility issues which should have been made absolutely clear in the advertisement. The room measured 7 ft by 12 approximately there was no wardrobe no table. It was very pokey and therefore not comfortable. The absence of small details in the bathroom had a disproportionately inconvenient effect. No Hook on back of door so nowhere to hang clothes. No tray in shower for razor or shampoo which therefore had to be left on the floor of the shower. Lack of care and thought. Definitely not value for money

Really friendly. Breakfast cost extra but was exceptional value for money. Choice of pillows - 1 soft and 1 firm on each side of bed. Walking distance from town centre and the beach.

No shelf in bathroom for toiletries- mentioned to staff so hopefully they will put one up for future guests
