Baret is a super nice guy. The stay was perfect in this tradional house, as expected from the description. Accommodation was good, with plenty of books to read and very clean. Where do you find such in the middle of the village !!

For me no problem at all and it makes the accommodation very special !! , but maybe for others: the bath- and bedroom are upstairs.

It was a good experience to stay at the old authentic Cypriot house. Everything was clean and comfortable, kitchen have all the required equipment for a few days' stay there. It's a good location to stay in case you are interested to visit Nicosia by car, close enough. The house owner was friendly and helpful.

The place is really comfortable and in quite area of city. It has everything you need for overnight. By car you can visit the nearest cities like Nicosia, Larnaca and Famagusta.

One of the best stays I’ve ever stayed. If you are looking for a tranquil retreat and to disconnect for a few days this is it. The property is absolutely charming. Everything about it - the house itself , the avli , the decor, the extremely comfortable bed , supreme cleanliness and what made my stay with the lovely host Baret and the cats and the dog ! Baret you are an amazing host and I won’t forget my time here.

We had an amazing stay at Avli. The house was lovely, as were the hosts and the village. We got some great recommendations (for breakfast etc.) and enjoyed the kitchen and courtyard a lot. Perfect homebase for our visit! Thanks a lot!

Avli's location is just perfect if you don't want to stay in Nicosia, but rather in a more peaceful location that is almost equally far away from Nicosia, Larnaka and Pano Lefkara. The property is cosy, clean and the courtyard is amazing. The owner, Baret is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying there.

I am very grateful to fate, which accidentally directed me to this place, where I met Baret - the owner - a wonderful, hospitable and very interesting person who has a lot to offer. The hotel itself is a true Cypriot home, well decorated with attention to every detail, comfortable and equipped with all the amenities that any traveler might need. Spacious bedroom, large kitchen on the ground floor and a small garden with an opportunity to dine under an olive tree. Agia Varvara has a central location that allows quick access to the main attractions, but also offers a lovely park for a pleasant bike ride, several restaurants, shops and a fruit market. Baret is a very kind person, speaks excellent English and knows many hidden treasures, can offer interesting tours around the island, gives useful recommendations, besides he is just a nice intelligent person with whom you can have meaningful conversations and spend very good time. I only regret not being able to stay longer and hope that we will meet again for another rich experience. Thanks a lot!
