The view of the beach from the house and family is what made this stay great. The house itself, not so great. The most annoying thing was punching in a 10 digit code every single time we had to get in the house. There was no way to disable it while you were in the hours. So if we were sitting on the porch you might as well leave the door wide open so you don’t get locked out. The house needs a lot of work. The roaches, ants, no toaster tray, one stove burner not working, moldy vents, clogged drains, and no drain stoppers is just to list a few things wrong. I could go on and on. Anyway, would I stay here again nope!

Overall great. Expecting more basic essentials like toilet paper and dish soap (only lasted 4 days of 7). We enjoyed our stay very much.

Definitely could have been cleaner. Someone should tell the staff not to do home improvements while someone is renting. Getting a broom to sweep the sand from the floor was difficult. Mold on the vents in the bathrooms.

View from the porch is amazing. There’s a few cosmetic things to fix. Paint peeling, chips flaky off. A couple of structural fixes. The floor by the couch is spongy and the eave out front is coming apart. It’s very clean and wifi is good. Great place if you’re outside a lot. If you’re an indoor person, this will bother you.

The house was clean and very practical. Excellent for 2-3 families, IMO. The amenities were very good. The access to the beach was fabulous and driving to Gulf Shores central area was about three minutes. We loved it and would highly recommend this place.

The house was adequate for our stay but does need updates.

We loved the location on the beach and a short walk down to the ocean.
The house was very roomy and larger that it appears from the outside. With connecting bath and bedrooms it was convenient. Only one bedroom did not connect, the one with bunk beds. The drive-in parking area was very tight, so only one of our vehicles was narrow enough to be pulled up under the house. But there is parking enough for more vehicles in the driveway.

THE LOCATION OF THE HOUSE IS PERFECT. CLOSE ENOUGH TO TOWN THAT YOU CAN GO TO THE SHOPS AND FOOD JOINTS WITHIN MEAR MINUTES. ALSO BEING RIGHT ON THE BEACH, YOUR ARE LITERAL STEPS FROM THE OCEAN.

Great location for our group of 7. Very quiet and beach was not crowded in our area. Enjoyed the spacious house with full size washer and dryer. Plenty of towels and hot water.

The location of this property is amazing! Steps from the beach. We visited Gulf Shores for a family spring break. There were 6 adults and 4 kids. The double bunk bed room was perfect for the kids. The house was clean, but could use some updating. The house was stocked with kitchen utensils, pans, etc. however didn't have some of the common items I typically find in these homes such as salt, pepper, coffee filters, etc. Overall we had an great stay!

The house is beautiful with plenty of room to spread out. The location makes this the perfect vacation house. When you step off the porch your feet are in the sand and just a few steps to the beach

The view from the south side/ beach side is breathtaking. Nothing better than enjoying your refreshments from the covered deck. The house is laid out to maximize the view with living areas beachside, and bedrooms and bathrooms down the hall. It has great WIFI, cable, Netflix and streaming options and a fully stocked kitchen. What's not to love!

I can’t imagine a better location for the group that I brought. We came to celebrate a 13th birthday and it was the best choice for our crew to spend the week and celebrate on the beach. Space was just right for our group. House was everything we needed and the location is perfect!

We enjoyed this place ;)this was our 1st time staying in a beach house normally we stay in a condo.. we are a big family and we all have imperfections;) I felt this beach house fit our family good! It was not then fanciest and had a lot of imperfections but it was perfect for us bc we are not fancy people:) we would def stay again!

We had a great time in Gulf Shores at the Beach House, the West Beach location is perfect. Could have used more bath towels, but was not a big deal. Refrigerator needs updating as lack of shelves so storage was challenging, but we stacked and made it work. Would definitely stay here again, was perfect for our party of 11

Spring Break Fun
The Beach House was perfect for our family and the weather was perfect as well!! It was clean, lots of cooking utensils and loved having the two tables and chairs. The kids used one table as their crafts and game table. The location was great too!!

Absolutely Beautiful
Literally on the beach, we absolutely loved it. Perfect size and great for mixed families. The only downfall was no beach chairs and no where to rent them and if your coming with a large party, make a shower schedule. It only has a 28 gallon water heater so you will run out of hot water quickly. Kitchen is packed with cooking supplies. The porch has been redone. The beds were great. Will definitely rent again.

Pictures showed a completely different house.
My girls and I arrived around 6pm after our long drive in to discover that the house had a completely different interior than the one that was listed online. The exterior was the same but the interior was a different house completely. I would have considered staying there but the property was dirty, smelled terrible and the windows on the deck wouldn’t close completely or lock, which left no way for the house to be secured.
I called the local property management company, Vacasa, and they took forever to get back to me so I ended up calling VRBO, and having a 3 way call with VRBO and Vacasa. I cannot say enough about how helpful and supportive VRBO’s customer service was. They metaphorically “held my hand” through a couple hours worth of sorting things out with Vacasa. After 4 hours of back and forth, Vacasa ended up moving me to a completely different location 30 minutes away. The new house ended up being adequate, clean and secure and the rest of our trip ended up being enjoyable, but man, it was a ROUGH start! While Vacasa ended up doing the right thing by moving me, I had to be super assertive to get an equivalent (on the beach) house, and they gave me a fair amount of attitude/push back when I wasn’t ok with a different house (a few blocks from the beach). I would be hesitant to rent from Vacasa again, but was extremely impressed with VRBO’s customer service.

This property was nice. Beautiful views and great location. The house itself is spacious and nice. It’s not perfect but it’s nice. Some of the previous reviews seem harsh after staying there. The kitchen items could be nicer and maybe the bedding. There were some things that weren’t perfect but it was good. I’d stay there again. We have a big family and the space was accommodating. There was was some sand in the beds and we could have used a few extra trash bags. We didn’t see any roaches or insects or anything. The furniture was new and the porch seems like it was repaired/replaced compared to pics we saw. Overall a 4 out of 5 for us.

Better than pictured or described!
Perfect house on a nearly private beach. The pictures don't do it justice as a lot of upgrades/updates have been made in the last year or so. New pictures should be posted. The living room furniture has been replaced, the kitchen is fully stocked, the beds are comfortable, the view of the beach is unbelievable and the covered deck is awesome. The house has 5 TV's with cable and Netflix to enjoy as well. We have already booked our 2022 stay at The Beach House!

Great location, Nasty house!
This house is in the perfect location right on the sand, right down the road from restaurants. However, The owners absolutely must not care. Everything in the house is old and needs fixed or replaced. Cracked peeling paint everywhere, duct tape on the plumbing fixtures, door knobs and doors that do not lock. Huge Cockroaches in the cabinets and in the house in general. Nasty dirty light switches throughout. The furniture is stained and nasty and gross, The pillows from the couches stink. Rails on the stairs and patio or flimsy and about to break. It’s a real shame to have such a beautiful asset in the location it’s in and not take care of it.

The house has so much potential, but Vacasa only cares about making money. For starters, 16 is way too many to house. 10 was crowded for us. The house has a great location, but the wallpaper is falling off the walls, the bunk beds are falling apart, the furniture is all old/falling apart, the faucet is falling off the wall in the shower, the textured ceiling is falling down, the kitchen isn’t stocked, oh and we can’t forget to mention we had ROACHES in the house each night. The guy from maintenance was very nice when he came over to get the cable working, however, they didn’t seem to concerned when we called about the roaches. Such a shame. There’s so much potential if someone gave a little effort. Wouldn’t recommend. Stay in a house for the same price and a pool down the road.
